Glan Aber Hotel

the staff is very welcoming and the location is perfect. the room was clean and comfortable loved the little cookies and coffee/ tea in our room breakfast was delicious and varied

the internet was useless and I had to connect to the neighbors wifi (that was also unstable)

Breakfast was very good, cereal, yoghurt, pastries, toast , crumpets and good cooked breakfast, lifts to upper floors, we had to pay an extra £10 , for a dog free room , but it was a good room , electric bed , coffee machine, scenic views, it was worth it, comfy chairs , TV but limited channels , parking is a plus

Had rang to check we could have dog free room , night before and was told it was ok , but in morning got email to say that we would have to pay to upgrade £10, we queried this but were told basic rooms were all dog friendly, so had to pay extra ,, husband had problems with patchy internet on mobile,

What can I say, for the price you get a whole lot for your money! And all of this in an excellent location too. Stayed a night with me and 2 friends, we were really surprised by the fact you could book the spa room which had a sauna, hot tub, and steam room for an excellent price, so we did that in the evening after a nice walk around Betws and settled down to a couple pints, some food, and a spot of pool in the games room. Rooms and bathroom facilities are clean with curtains in bedroom and good location for the plug sockets, areas are kept in good check, and staff are very friendly. Will definitely be staying here again :) keep it up all.

The hotel is situated in a beautiful little village..with some lovely surroundings we turned up late and was climbing snowdon the following morning but had few hours walking around in the evening along the flowing stream with a bag of chips was really nice ..beautiful place

Me and my mate had the bunk house room and it was a nightmare..lads coming in early hours shouting and banging doors..pissed up in and out of each others rooms ..then woke everyone up around 4am shouting and ranting about climbing snowdon to some women shouting at them all telling them they are disrespectful..to then get up ow selfs around 5am to go into the shower room it looked like a club toilet piss pot full and over flowing piss all over the floor running into the shower room, all the toilet rolls were soaking wet in piss ,shower bottles all over the floor ..toilet seat was hanging off..just a bloody mess and stunk . ANIMALS 😳 I'd rather bath in the stream opposite

We stayed at Glan Aber for our 6 year anniversary. The staff are really lovely, had a lovely ambience, it is situated at the heart of Betws y coed. The hotel is very clean, our room was very well presented, the breakfast in the morning was nice- there was a variety of options and it’s pet friendly! There is a separate area within the hotel for dog owners, which is really handy. The check in/check out process was so simple! No long queue or hassle. I would definitely recommend as the hospitality was 10/10.

We initially had trouble with our booking as the hotel is quite specific about which rooms are pet friendly. It states this in the individual room description; not something that was clear as we only read the main property description, other reviews and saw room pictures. However, It was resolved efficiently.

I like the fact the hotel staff was friendly and that there was lots to do. The room was very spacious and clean, the evening meal was fantastic and good value for money, and the bar sold non-alcohol larger.

The breakfast was good with lots to choose from but the staff could not offer poached eggs. The room and bathroom was spacious but the shower lacked power and was like a fast trickle. We asked the staff to fill our water bladder up for the backpacks which they did and we appreciated it but the water had an indescribable taste to it.

We stayed in a room in the bunkhouse. It is basic but all that we needed. The room was tiny but still plenty for two of us & private. There is a tiny shared kitchenette which has utensils & a microwave- this would be improved by having some bowls & plates, & running water in the kitchen. The town is great & so close to lots to do & has enough food outlets.

Minor thing but the women’s shower “overflows/splashes “ into the toilet cubicle next to it, which is not pleasant as it forms a deep puddle there& there is only one women’s toilet

Tanya made us very welcome from the moment we arrived till the end of the holiday, nothing was too much trouble for her very knowledgeable on area which was great for us. We sat by the lovely fire which is a great asset. Tanya made sure it stayed lit which we really appreciated with it being a cold weekend. Charlotte was great too very chatty which was lovely and made you feel at home. Breakfast was good plenty of choice which is nice. The room was comfortable with plenty of storage for clothes. The owner was very nice he wished us a nice journey home. I never realised at first he was the owner till we walked out otherwise I would of brought my issues up with him, as I do think he has a great place to stay, love the kids area too will be bringing my granddaughter along when we come back. I feel staff in hospitality don’t get enough credit so thank you again.

I didn’t like the lady called louise I think her name was dark hair pony tail and glasses, she was touching all the pastries with her hands I just couldn’t believe what I was seeing. NO tongs in sight at all or her even wearing gloves very unhygienic. I noticed the breakfast staff talking behind each others backs in the breakfast room not very professional at all in front of guests. The bedroom had tea stains all over the skirting boards which would rub off with a mop not a good first impression i think Jane the general manager needs to go and look in rooms once they are meant to be cleaned. the shower cubicle needs updating no glass door but a shower curtain to pull across.

Perfect for what we needed, a warm dry indoor space to stay whilst on an outdoor trip in horrible weather! Room was small but suited us just fine. Very warm and cosy and comfortable beds. Showers were warm and kitchenette was handy. Spa was nice little addition also

Annoying that there wasn't a sink in the kitchenette. Also drying room wasn't working so had to dry all kit in room which was a tight squeeze as it was such a wet few days.

Staff were so kind and helpful. Asked for a sheet because it was too hot for a quilt and was immediatly brought one. Staff were smiley and chatty and gave us excellent recommendations on where to eat.

Needs a stool in the bedrooms as upper bunk is too low for lower bunk user to sit under. Caramelised onion pizza was really nice but welsh hot pizza was kinda thrown together with ingredients that tasted watery like they'd been in the fridge for too long -nobody likes a soggy pizza
