Dukes Head Inn

On arrival, staff were immediately friendly and welcoming. All facilities were explained and I felt like I was a VIP. Service was exceptional.

I had no issues and no problems with the staff, the facilities, or service.

We were given a very warm welcome from our hosts. The location was perfect for the river, town shops, restaurants, Richmond Park. Also, only a 10 minute walk from the Tube and Main line stations. It is a quiet residential area. No late night noise. Very peaceful safe area. The single beds were comfortable and the bedroom a good size, very light and bright with big windows. Shower good too. The cooked breakfast was lovely. Alternative to cow’s milk was provided, no problem. A great place to stay for the weekend. We would definitely stay again.

The bathroom was a bit small. No room for a shelf to put things on. Bath towels small too.

This place was fantastic! It had everything I needed, good food, good beer, nice room and very welcoming staff and local patrons. Busses and Underground close by so all of London is accessible. I'm not a breakfast eater but went anyway and it was very good. Different thing every morning, all good and plenty of food. And Sunday roast lunch...fabulous! I am a single traveler enjoying the Rugby World Cup and the local folks made me feel welcome and included in the conversations and happenings. Thanks everyone for a memorable stay!

Everything was great!

Fantastic location in Richmond only a short walk from the town centre and shops but hidden away in the Vinyard. Rooms above a traditional style welcoming pub in a residential area. Don't be put off by the decor which is on the vintage or retro side as the reality was a clean room with a comfortable bed and a working shower with hot water. Plus there's cups and saucers and a kettle to make your own drinks. While most of breakfast is great like the excellent coffee and the freshly cooked, cooked breakfast it could be improved by offering some real fruit for those who don't eat cereal or like fruit juice. Nice friendly helpful staff.

We stayed one night when transiting from Cornwall to Heathrow. The room was clean, the beds great, and it was quiet, despite that we were on the first floor right above the pub. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff really went out of their way to accomodate our wishes. We could also leave our luggage there for some hours while visiting Kew Botanical Gardens before continuing to Heathrow. The Richmond train station is a short walk away, and there is a bus that took us the Heathrow terminal 5, without any change of buses. Overall we can recommend this accomodation as it is clean, quiet, nice, with an exceptionally friendly staff.

The people that run the property are fabulous, some of the nicest people anywhere, also, this is a pub hotel, enjoy a beer or cider while checking in. We enjoyed a great breakfast every morning and it is included but we ate dinner there both nights that we stayed. The dinners were delicious and there was plenty of food. The location was also great, it is halfway between the train station and Richmond Hill Park. Listen to Pat for directions, he is very helpful. The room was large and everything worked.

My wife would have enjoyed a more comfortable bed. The room doesn’t have air conditioning but it did have a fan.

I loved everything about Dukes Head Inn. It was close to the parks, businesses and transport. The owners and staff were so amazing and always kind. I loved it here and did not want to leave. The room was cleaned every morning. It was quaint and charming exactly what I was hoping for coming from a small town. Breakfast every morning was so good and a nice way to start the day. I had food in the pub as well and everything was delicious (that Sunday roast dinner so good). The atmosphere in the pub was friendly and joyful. I would 110% stay here again and I plan to.

We had a great stay, the room was immaculately clean and everything we needed for a weekend stay. Breakfast was good, staff (and landlord/landlady) were all lovely. We had a meal in the pub one evening and that was good too. Location is perfect for us visiting family in Richmond but also close to all the public transport routes.

The only downside for us was the noise of the planes at 4am but that's out of everyone's control - We will pack ear plugs the next time we stay!

Location was fantastic, very close to centre of town and also the Thames. Very quiet area and managers, Pat and Moraig, were so very welcoming, allowing us to check in early after long flight from Australia. Even gave ideas of what to do while in Richmond, including organising a game of golf. Room was up two flights of stairs, (not a problem for us but something to be aware of), so very warm and quiet. Bathroom basic with good shower. Food was excellent. Hearty breakfast included and our steak for dinner was excellently cooked and cheap and cheerful. Great stay in an atmospheric grand old pub.

Could hear jets from Heathrow once night curfew hours were finished, but this seemed to be in entire district rather than just this pub.

-The owners n staff were so welcoming. Of all the pubs I visited in Richmond this was my favorite... at the end of my day's adventure, it was so nice to come back to an Irish pub to grab a beer (fantastic tap selection) n soak in its atmosphere. U could get the football game n people were welcoming to talk with. -Great breakfast, the staff were very attentive to offering a second cup of coffee! -Once u understand the map of Richmond this is a very close accommodation to downtown... ask where the "Vineyard passageway" is.

The free wifi was weak and challenging to receive.
