Novotel London Brentford

We booked this hotel because of the swimming pool, but they required booking for its use and you can only use it for 1h. Also, they rent the pool for swimming lessons, so it gets easily crowded with non-guests of the hotel.

Very appreciative of room upgrade. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Enjoyed the nespresso coffee machine.

Unfortunately king bed was just two smaller beds pushed together with a large indent in the middle which made for an uncomfortable nights sleep. Also would be nice to have a few more towels in the room. Otherwise the stay was nice. For how much was spent on a room would be appreciate either parking or breakfast included in price.

Room - Good layout. Good quality furniture and clean. Hotel - A good standard. Facilities - Good to have free access to the pool (and dry sauna) and gym.

Breakfast - Expensive Facilities - Kids using pool after the 8pm cut off. Also some swimming tuition in progress. Not very relaxing! Layout in mens changing area not great (only one place to sit down and this is right by the entrance), rather constrained (particularly with more than three changing) and no facility to dry swimmers (usually a standard with such facilities). Supper - Went for vegetable curry. It was tasty but a very small helping - not VFM.

Staff were extremely helpful, we were not keen on our first room because it was right next to the traffic lights (music booming from cars). The gentleman on reception moved us to the other side of the hotel on a higher level where it was much quieter. Food was great and we could always get a seat in the restaurant. Bed was really comfortable, had two great nights sleep.

It could have been a little cleaner. Headboards in the bedroom needed wiping and in our first room the chair was badly marked where you would sit down and there were drips on the wall near the toilet. For a hotel that had high standards of cleanliness badges, it did seem like it could have been better.

I had a stay alone to have some alone time and self love time and break away from my children, I did it for me, I had chosen the executive room with breakfast. I did definitely relax. Breakfast was nice, it would be nice to have some other options such as beef or chicken sausages and turkey rashers for those who do not eat pork, but the veggie sausages were nice. The travel from South London wasn't bad, and I will definitely be back, because the area was quiet.

Few downfalls I wasn't aware you had to get a pool card as I wanted to go straight from my room to have a swim and then shower and eat breakfast, no one explained that, also the sky wasn't working at first but it needed rebooting and it was a while until the maintenance man came to sort it - BUT it did get sorted.

Location was excellent; there was a swimming pool andnsaunarium: rooms were very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was excellent and the restaurant had a swing chairs, soft cushioned areas and a giant chessboard as part of the table which my children enjoyed.

You require a different key card to use the swinming pool but there were no prior instructions to indicate this. There is noone that staffs the swimming area or any sort of telephone to use should you require assistance or towels. Information on these key things we're not shared at Welcome or on any notices and signs or leaflets as far as I was aware.

Great location just outside of Ulez and Congestion Charge zone. We used Underground and bus to and from central London for 2 days. The bus stop is a 4 minute walk and then we used both South Ealing and Ealing Broadway underground stations. Hotel is very modern with great facilities, double insulated Windows mean the road outside did not disturb us. The parking was easy to find, not sure why others had so many issues. There are clear signs to the hotel, the underground parking and once in there are additional signs to the Novotel area. Would happily stay here again

1 of the lifts didn't seem to want to go anywhere but down, was annoying when the hotel was busier.

The hotel is close to an Enterprise car rental, which was so helpful as we needed to drop off the car before going to the airport. The room was clean, and the buffet breakfast was very good. The swimming pool was wonderful. The hotel is within walking distance of several parks, and there is a grocery nearby as well.

Our room had a mattress that needs to be changed--there was a large indentation which caused us to repeatedly roll toward the center while sleeping, and this was not comfortable (room 528). The sink drain was very slow, and this needs to be fixed. There was no conditioner in the bathroom, only shampoo and body wash. When I went to the front desk to ask about this, the person there said that the hotel no longer provides conditioner and that the shampoo and conditioner were not combined--this was not actually true, so why tell guests this? It's a minor service, but one that is missed. If the issue is having guests take extra bottles of shampoo and conditioner, affix the larger bottles to the shower wall, like several other hotels do--but have the conditioner available for guests.

Room size was perfect felt spacious and airy. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. I liked that there was a Bluetooth speaker in the room so I could listen to music at leisure. I liked that there was a coffee machine and enjoyed the coffee. The bar staff member I spoke to on Saturday of my stay was very kind and personable and I would like to note her in particular. The room was very clean when I arrived.

The shower was slippery and I slipped in the shower whilst washing and ended up on the floor so it would be great if there was a shower mat available in the bathroom as an optional item to use. I also think it would be great if there was hand wash in the bathroom rather than using the complimentary soap to wash hands. We had to pay for parking in addition to the room which I feel should come as part of the room. In the middle of the night we had to call the front desk for the parking code to pay for extra parking online and the receptionist did not know the code and therefore we had to go outside in the middle of the night to get this. It would make sense for this information to be available from the front desk since as it is the parking area immediately in front of the hotel.
