Corner Hotel

The Corner hotel and the staff there were excellent. Due to a late change in personal circumstances the hotel staff facilitated last minute changes and this shows how seriously they value their guests in my view. An excellent breakfast, nice food for dinner, a bar with ample choice priced to sell for us cheapskates. Would not hesitate to return if the need arises.

Not going to nit pick, too many people do that.

This was our first time in Scotland and we are so happy with the cleanliness and service of the hotel. We were so afraid of being mistreated but we could not be happier with how friendly ALL the staff were, constantly making sure we were okay, smiling and saying hello every time we walked by (the small things matter most to us), fulfilling all our needs and just overall making our stress of the wedding bearable. We would like to thank you all for being so nice to us and we hope to be back in the future!

The one small thing i could say was the TV in room 9 wasnt what we’d hoped for but thankfully i had my own devices so we weren’t too bothered! :)

We had two rooms for 3 of us and both were immaculate and very comfortable. The little things were all good - decent hairdryer, tasty biscuits, and we all had a great night’s sleep. Everyone we met was incredibly welcoming and helpful and the breakfast menu (and portions) was excellent.

Only one minor grumble, the bar featured in the photos is the local pub and all the smokers stand out the back of the pub to light up. One of our rooms was directly above this and although the hotel part of the building is non smoking, the smell of the outside smoke was very noticeable inside. The front of the building could do with a bit of a clean too but inside the rooms and service were immaculate.

This is a lovely place to stay. I just wanted a warm comfortable, clean room for a night's stay. I got this with a warm welcome at midnight. The room was really nice, modern and very clean with a lovely bathroom. It is opposite a shop so I grabbed some breakfast there and ate it at the beach which is a few minutes drive away before heading off to a day of work.

The location of the hotel was good and within easy walking distance of both the train station and the golf course. The staff were very friendly and the chef was fabulous and very accommodating. The breakfast (and all meals) were excellent and large portions.

The only thing I did not like was the little hatch above my bed on the ceiling which I know a lot of people would not even notice. Being a woman of a certain age I was extremely hot and had to have the windows open but found out in the morning that one of the staff had forgotten to turn the heating off :-)

The hotel was my base for exploring Carnoustie and Monifieth …..I walked from Carnoustie to Monifieth. My single room was clean and comfortable, bed comfy and a hot shower. All crockery etc was cling wrapped for Covid safety. My vegetarian breakfast in the morning was amazing, beautifully cooked and so much of it. The staff were nice and Carole in particular was helpful with tourist information as well as being the excellent chef !

Being in a hotel with rooms above the bar you could hear the patrons talking outside ….this didn’t bother me that much and didn’t effect my sleep

Very comfortable. We had a room with a really fabulous bathroom, waterfall shower and lovely bath. The breakfast was incredible and everyone so friendly. We will definitely stay again.

There is not enough parking. All nearby residents park there, so there isn't space for visitors

The staff were very happy to see us and very helpful in imparting information about the hotel and that if we had any questions, someone from the staff would be on hand to answer any questions.

The room was quite cold when we first went in, but the heating came on after a while.

Staff were very nice & friendly Room was clean Shower room was very clean Carpets in the room and stairways were clean Towels good size and very clean Bed well made.. Bedding very clean

The bed wasn’t a double unfortunately
