The staff were very polite, friendly and efficient. A good breakfast. Very comfortable bed. Good shower. Nice restaurant ambiance. Good wines but expensive.

Our room, in the cottage annex was not cosy and not cleaned around the window properly. The bathroom lacked space to put anything. We could not fill the sink. We just felt, considering the exterior, that the hotel lacked atmosphere due to its contemporary styling. Disappointing. Overall, expensive and would struggle to return.

Lovely staff who were very helpful; perfect location - easy to walk to the beach; tasteful cosy decor, Lots of character.

The only thing I would change about the Bonny Badger would be to get rid of the artificial flowers and leaves in little vases around the place- they are not convincing and detract rather than add to the overall luxurious feel of the place. If I was to be really picky, I'd mention that the deluxe loft room was smaller than I was expecting. TBH I didn't check out the square m details on the website. I just assumed that deluxe meant spacious.

A beautiful modern renovation of the historic hotel and restaurant right in the centre of Gullane. All room amenities were of the highest quality with nice little "extras" such as the tea and cookies delivered to the door before bedtime. Breakfast was outstanding - high quality and with a wide selection of entrees on offer.

The particular location of our room (Hummel) in one of the two outdoor cottages looked out on the outdoor patio eating area and anyone entering the cottages walked right past our windows to get to the cottage entrance door. While the hotel did an excellent job clearing the outdoor patio after 9 pm we would have appreciated a room with a little more privacy.

Great hotel. Staff so friendly too. Really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was super. Good location. No car park but parking around back. Staff really helpful with parking. We had the loft room and expected it to be small but it was lovely. Big bed and lovely shower and toilet. We Will definitely be back! Lovely town too

On arrival we thought oh no it doesn't have car park. We found place near. But when we entered the hotel we were really surprise when the first question from staff was did you get parked okay and directed us to an area around the back and they had a back door, so really there was nothing we didn't like.

We stayed over the Christmas period for one night with family and had 4 rooms. We choose the hotel as it was dog friendly and we had 2 dogs with us. The hotel were very accommodating when we realised that I had booked on booking.com but they had no dog rooms left. Gullane is lovely and its a short walk from the back of the hotel to the beach. Hotel feels informal warm and friendly, great garden area (too cold to enjoy for us), delicious food and the best breakfast ever. Pool room. We really enjoyed our stay.

Room prices are high. Although they are comfortable and nicely designed I was surprised they were not really exceptional for £300 per night. Loft rooms feel more special. Food although very tasty is expensive.

The Bonnie Badger is totally unique, garden rooms design and space is exceptional. The Broc Bar and the Stables restaurant are very comfortable and very friendly with excellent service. The cuisine is second to none, under Tom Kitchens guidance, the Chef Matthew Budge is superb, every bite is simply divine !!

quirky, twinkly outside garden with roaring fire, lots of different seating, relaxing areas to chill out and enjoy beautiful food and drinks.

Our wee room, Hawthorn, was in the beautiful dog friendly cottage and was well equipped and beautiful. The attention to detail was incredible - nespresso machine, bedtime snacks, checkout. gifts, food and high quality toiletries were all absolutely magic.

Some of the staff appeared overworked and a bit nonchalant. Trying to contact reception later in the day was very difficult.

Breakfast was superb but the coffee was disappointing and perhaps missing a trick here. No branded coffee in the hotel- coffee roaster in North Berwick would have been a huge benefit and bonus. Loved the hotels staff approach to gluten free dietary requirements. Loved the garden. Loved the hot chocolate outside door in the evening.

Coffee was average and disappointing for a hotel which prides itself in its food. Extractor fan outside bedroom window was noisy. Bathroom was tiny. Fish and Chips in bar was tasty but tiny portion.

The breakfast was superb. The staff were very welcoming and went out thier way to make sure we were looked after. They fussed over our dog and was made to feel part of the family as we treat him at home.

Only complaint we had was that our meal onthe first night was cold. It was dealt with and we were compensated with a bottle of wine.

Great, friendly hotel with excellent customer care. Room was fab and since we have stayed with our dog we have been treated to dog bed, dog bowl, blanket and even his own towel. Bathroom has been well appointed with superb toiletries. The whole place is very dog friendly, our pooch was with us during dinner and breakfast at the Stables and during few drinks in the pub area. Location of the hotel is great, just few minutes walk from fantastic beach. Highly recommended.

Nothing really, but I can imagine during busy summer season parking might be tricky in the village.
