Beckside Guest House Keswick

Tracey and Andrew made us feel incredibly welcome and it was a pleasure to stay at The Beckside! The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. TV, On-suite toilet and a lovely shower in the room. There had clearly been a lot of thought into what they provide, from a drinks station in the room, to a selection of toiletries and even a ‘forgot me’ box with small things we may need (ie plasters) during our stay. Everything was catered for! The rooms were cleaned daily and the whole house was very tidy, clean and had sweet decor. The breakfast was excellent with lots of variety and well cooked/presented - perfect before a day hiking in the mountains. Tracey and Andrew were always on hand to offer ideas of places to visit and were helpful when making plans (the weather was not always on our side during our stay so plans often had to be changed). The location was superb, only a 5 minute walk from the main town where there were lots of restaurants. Keswick is also very central, with lots of hikes only a short drive away! We had no issues with parking on the road, we were always able to find a space nearby. I would highly recommend anyone to stay with Tracey and Andrew at the Beckside!

The Beckside is simply the best b&b I have stayed in, it is only a short walk to the town shops, restaurants, transport links and a lovely walk to the beautiful Keswick Lakes where we spent day walking, it was breathtaking. The Beckside is immaculate and spotless throughout. Our hosts Tracey and Andrew were so welcoming, friendly and helpful, breakfast was beautifully presented, abundant and prepared to perfection - simply delicious. Our twin room was spotless, comfortable and homely with a good ensuite shower. I will definitely be recommending to friends and very much look forward to returning.

What a fantastic place to stay. absolutely everything you could possibly need or want. The hosts Tracey and Andrew were fantastic and ensured we had everything we needed , spotlessly clean. Fabulous position, so close to everything. Fitz park was very close and such a lovely place to spend time , just chilling out. Fabulous brekkie and such wonderful attention to detail in all aspects from the initial correspondence to the lovely surprise gift when we left. Would not hesitate to recommend this place if you are coming up Keswick, a perfect place to stay thank you

The quality of service from Andrew & Tracey was exceptional, they go above and beyond to make your stay fantastic. The attention to detail both within the room and at the breakfast table is amazing. Breakfast is like a feast and cooked to perfection. I would recommend the fresh fruit tray as well. Their local knowledge of the area and surrounding area is excellent, it helped make our trip, when they said use the local bus service. We were able to see so much more, instead of being stuck in a car and also then having to find parking. If you want to be pampered then, you need to go here.

The experience with Beckside guest house has been nothing but excellent. The host's are extremely inviting and friendly and the guesthouse has ample parking on nearby streets. The property is immaculate and well presented, it really does feel like your at home because of all the comforts, leaving you feeling relaxed during your stay. Location is excellent, within 5 minutes you're in the centre of Keswick town, the access to main routes is brilliant, it is a really good hub for exploring the lakes. Additional bonus is the Keswick museum and Fitz park are extremely close by within a few minutes walk. The host's are very hospitable, providing plenty of useful information for your visit to the lakes and generally great people. Breakfast provided was delicious and plentiful. I would love to come back and stay again next time we visit the lakes!

Nothing, I couldn't have asked for a better stay.

rooms were very clean and well presented , plenty of coffee milk tea ,water . The Bed was very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was fantastic with locally sourced food, very filling and set us up for the day. location was good. Hosts were lovely and very informative.

TV in Room could have been in a better position instead of to the side ( twisting neck to watch ) just a suggestion to move facing the bed.

This could become a long list.....to point a few things out: the hosts were very friendly and considerate. There were different guidebooks to chose a walk from and even OS Maps which we could borrow for the day. The place was absolutely spotless. Lots of details that show the hosts take their guests wellbeing seriously, e.g. fair trade tea on the tray in the room. Breakfast was outstanding. Fresh fruit to start (we got - amongst others - maracuja, melon and strawberries!). Tasty sausage from the local butcher's...I could go on....

The mattress in our room was too hard to our fancy.

The property was very clean, neat and comfy. A perfect place away from home. It was a very good experience. Andrew and Tracey were both approachable and accommodating hosts. The “forget me not” stuff was brilliant, especially, to those who tend to forget essentials. In addition, me and my husband does not usually eat early. Because of this, they would kindly pack our breakfast so that we could bring and eat it as we go and explore. On our last day, as we were leaving early, they made sure again we had packed food that we could carry. These goes to show how caring they are with their guests. Moreover, the breakfast was superb. It was big, delicious plus the fruit plate was astonishing. We both could say that those were the best breakfast we’ve ever had since we moved here in the UK. We’ll definitely go back!

We stayed at the guest house in late May for a couple of nights while doing some mountain walks in the area. The rates were very good in comparison to others around in the ares but this place was very good. The location is just a 5 to 10 minutes walk into town. The room was good and the hosts served excellent breakfasts in the morning..They even prepared some for when we had to get up early before breakfast one morning All in all an excellent stay and I wouldn't hesitate to book again when I return to Keswick in the future.

Tracey and Andrew were fantastic hosts, best B & B I’ve ever stayed in. It was my hubby’s birthday whilst there, card and chocolates were on the table when we went for breakfast. The breakfast was so nice, fresh fruit choice which was great, and the full fried breakfast was so good. Can’t wait to return thank you.

Spotless clean, even made up our beds & emptied the bins when we went out for the day.
