Great location and excellent value for money . The family room we had was clean, warm and had good facilities. The owners I believe are planning a refurbishment on the property soon, however the worst I could say is it is a little tired but certainly not in anyway bad. The location is good being only a 2 minute drive or 15 minute stroll to the main street in Keswick. The very best bit for me is how dog friendly the hotel is. My 3 dogs loved it along with my wife and I. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone visiting Keswick

Me and my partner had a fab stay at Twa Dogs. All the staff were amazing and very helpful and friendly. The food was lush and was very good prices. We have already booked to go back another 2 times in the next few months. We are really looking forward to staying again. The manager chris was exceptionally helpful and made sure we were comfortable and OK with everything.. it is also in a great location not far from the town centre. Car parking avaliable and dogs allowed and cared about. Brilliant homely relaxing place to bel .. See you all again soon Linda Chris

The rooms could do with a little updating .

Amazing I was a little worried due to the recent change of hands, and the team only running the business for a few weeks. Despite this, the entire stay was amazing and ran really smoothly. I had no need to worry at all. All of the team were lovely and made us feel comfortable from the start. Very dog friendly, the team seemed genuinely welcomeing of my dog rather than feeling her like an inconvenience as other places have. Really accommodating, we haven't realised what time last orders food orders were so went down slightly late and they still generously allowed us to order dinner. It was a lovely vegan meal we ordered too. The rooms were really comfortable and exceptionally clean. Keeping cleanliness to that standard can't be easy, especially considering dogs are welcome. It's definitely worth saving money to stay at this friendly accommodation with free parking and such located a very short walk to keswick Town. Thanks to all of the friendly team who made us feel comfortable and at home. It far exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely recommend and definitely be back to stay again.

It can be said it was a little outdated, the TV was a little small and the ensuit a shower but no bath. And the meal times are a little short (not currently serving breakfast and only short window for ordering dinner), but I think this due to recent business change of hands so maybe something they are working on. Basically, if you are use to the rits and other luxurious hotels and don't mind spending the ridiculous prices of those hotels, then this is not the hotel for you. However, if like me you don't need masses of facilities to enjoy your stay, and are happy with a smaller budget hotel to be located at for a lovely trip to keswick,I would definitely recommend this hotel. To me, the friendlyness of the team here exceeds other higher end hotel staff anyway.

It is very close to the town centre, it took us about 6 minutes to be in the heart of all the shops. The room was a good size, the bed was comfortable and we had 2 windows being in Room 2 so that helped a lot when it was warm at night!

I know they are still making improvements since the new management took over but the main thing would be if food was served more regular. But can't fault the place otherwise. Great value for money.

It was an extremely noisy pub, but having said that noise finished at 11pm. Rather twisty narrow staircase. The water pressure in the shower was poor and very little hot water but in the washbasin no problem with the water

Location was perfect for walking into Keswick. The bedroom was very spacious and had good facilities. The staff were lovely and friendly, and phoned a taxi for us on Saturday afternoon. The food was great on the Friday night.

The only thing I would suggest is having a shelf in the bathroom for a make up bag, but really doesn't detract from the excellent stay

The accommodation was perfect for our needs, our dog doesn't like walking on shiny floors so the owners showed us an alternative entrance which was carpeted, that meant a lot to us, room was spacious and warm, foos served in the bar was lovely,would definitely go back again

The only thing that could have been better was the fact that breakfasts were not available due to staff shortages,but this seems to be happening a lot in keswick at the moment

Excellent location for the centre of Keswick. Very helpful and friendly staff. The evening meal was excellent.

This is a very basic hotel as the price suggests. The room was clean and comfortable if a little hot. Very limited kitchen facilities so we were not able to order breakfast. However Keswick is full of eateries so not really a problem.

The Twa Dogs Inn has been in Keswick for decades, and still retains its olde worlde atmosphere and values. There is limited car parking space at the front of the building, but perfectly adequate. Approximately a third of the space has been taken up with outside tables and a marquee, presumably in deference to the Covid climate that we find ourselves in. The interior has a well stocked bar and plenty of tables. A separate room houses a pool table. Meals are freshly prepared, and the affordable menu, although limited, will cater for most tastes, and an excellent Sunday lunch is available (only on Sunday obviously). The staff are affable in that reserved way that is characteristic of Cumbrian folk; definitely not a criticism, just an observation. The bedrooms are furnished in a basic way, with bed, dressing table, wardrobe and en-suite. A simple key gets you in, and none of this nonsense with key cards that only work half the time. Keswick is a great starting point for any Lakeland adventure; the Twa Dogs Inn is as good a place as any to make your base. The rules of the establishment are simple. Last orders at the bar are at 10.30pm, and the bar closes at 11.00pm. Breakfast is at 8.30am prompt, served in the main bar area. The choice of breakfast is sorted out on the day of arrival, and, unless requested, will be served on all subsequent days. Checkout is at 9.30am on day of departure. All-in-all we had an enjoyable stay, and it will be a sad day when the current tenant, Peter, has to leave after 23 years to make way for a manager, which is what the brewery have decided is the way forward for their business aspirations.

It is an ideal place for walkers, and the only thing missing was any facilities for drying.

All the staff were very accommodating and helpful. 10 mins walk into town, beers were spot on and good choice. Breakfast was good with a good choice inc cereals, full english etc. Plenty of free parking. Bed was comfortable. Tea/coffee making facilities in room. Good price for Keswick b&b as in the centre they are very expensive.

Decor update needed, shower wasn’t very powerful, quite a busy road into Keswick. Our room was at the front so overlooked the beer garden which can be busy and loud at times which is expected as it is a pub so if you can’t beat em then join em 😃🍻
