We booked the Shepherd's Hut at Glebe Farm at late notice for a 'minimoon', and so glad that we did! Sheila and Tim were highly welcoming, the hut itself was immaculately presented, and so the extremely cosy. It was also in a stunning location in South Pool. Would highly recommend the Shepherd's hut for a romantic getaway, and offers just the right level of privacy!

There was some confusion on booking.com over the breakfast...we had booked on the basis that breakfast was provided, and it later became clear that this was not the case, however this did not take away from the experience as Tim and Sheila ensured that there was a hamper of bread, croissant, eggs, butter, Jam and orange juice to prepare ourselves and see us through the three mornings of our stay (there was also a bottle of prosecco).

Beautiful restaured estate, lovely garden and sitting areas in the green, big and cosy rooms with modern bath rooms. Be aware, Gleeb is very personal, not a place for hermitage, you are sleeping under the roof of the hosts and have breakfast at a large table with other guests and get served there right from the open kitchen of Tim and Sheila, who are lovely, witty and caring hosts! I enjoyed that social interaction very much! Second be aware: Glebe Farm is not a farm anymore. If you are traveling with children and expecting lively, hard farm work, sheeps, horses or pigs around, you have to content yourself with two lovely labradors and some nosy chickens, running around. Third be aware: The estate is right in the centre of little South Pool, opposite the street, that crosses the little river. The sign, that says Glebe Farm, is at the moment standing on the ground and I drove by the place once, before getting help from two nice guests, who showed me the way. The Millbrook Inn, a restaurant and pub, just 5 walking minutes away, is not a bargain, but excellent! I liked Glebe Farm a lot. Thanks for the lovely stay in your home!

Hosts. Absolute legends they are. Welcoming, warm, hilarious, lovely lovely people. Gorgeous location. Horrendously and yet hilariously posh people daaarn frem Lenden (in the excellently clichéd, low ceiling pub just up the road) are mesmerising to both watch and eavesdrop on as they complain about how difficult it is to get around Monaco when the Grand Prix is on and how odd Penelope is for never having had brunch delivered by JustEat. If Disney made a Devonland they'd copy this village. You'd swear the houses were made from gingerbread and if you ignore the parked cars you'd swear also that Poldark will walk down the street any minute (from the next county obvs). Oh and the sky! The night sky. Now I live in the country and you can see the Milky Way if you're lucky and you let your eyes adjust for 20 minutes. Here though, here! Just look up after 8pm and there it is right above you. So clean and dust free is the air, and so completely rinsed out are your watery eyes if you've just eaten 12 buffalo wings made with pure essence of Californian Death Reaper chilli in the pub.

if I really, really had to try and find any form of fault whatsoever I would say I'd like a slightly deeper, less slatted, more divan-ish, bed and mattress with a hint of memory foamage or octo-whatsit topper-fication. But I'm a big rugby player type who had sore shoulders from a covid/flu combo jab so perhaps not the best basis on which to be judgemental. Besides, a load of extra pillows and some paracetamol on night 2 sorted it all out. Slept like a log. I'm h and Tim, the extractor fan in the en suite is on its way out.

Fantastic hosts, went above and beyond, nothing was too much trouble. Felt thoroughly spoiled 😊. Beautiful cottage, immaculately clean, cosy and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious especially the bacon. It was so nice to sit round the table and talk to other guests as well as Tim & Sheila. Such a convenient location for the beaches and villages. South Pool itself is charming with a lovely pub within walking distance, thatched cottages and a tidal creek with stepping stones. I would have stayed longer in a heartbeat. I hope to come again someday.

We took a short trip to Devon and stayed at Glebe Farm for a couple of nights. The property is perfectly located in the heart of the peaceful and quiet South Pool, many of the beaches and coastal walks are just 10-15 mins drive away. The room is airy and spacious. Sheila and Tim were fantastic hosts, giving us plenty of suggestions on walking trails, restaurants and pubs, as well as delicious homemade bread and marmalade. Highly recommended.

The breakfast was amazing. It's served in a cozy, warm kitchen very homely. My husband thought the full English breakfast was the best he'd had on this holiday. Our hosts gave us lots of ideas and directions of best ways to enjoy the area. We were very sorry to leave Glebe Farm and would happily return.

There wasn't anything we could fault about our stay.

The property was beautiful and in a really idyllic location. The hosts were incredibly friendly, with great advice about where to go and what to do in the local and surrounding area. They also put on an excellent breakfast every morning, cooked to order and with really pleasant company and conversation.

Everything

WiFi would have helped as we were not able to get any mobile reception to plan our trips etc. Tim did say to come to the main building to use the internet, but we were night owls and didn't want to disturb them late at night. Overall enjoyed our stay and would come again.

Without doubt one of the favourite and luxurious farm house bed and breakfast my partner and I have stayed in. The farm house is situated in an amazing friendly village with an award winning local pub, upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Sheila and Tim. Both extremely friendly, the grade 2 listed farmhouse with period features , is ideally suited for anyone looking for a relaxing and ideal get away We had two great evenings here, touring the local area which obviously also added up to the experience of seeing the natural beauty of south Devon coast lines and villages. We were given local sightseeing information by Shelia and Tim which proved valuable. Breakfast was such a treat, using their own fresh eggs from their own hens and homemade Jams were freshly prepared by Sheila. We looked forward to each morning having a fantastic night’s sleep and a fantastic fresh breakfast to start our day. This farmhouse is a place that you must stay both for its warm welcome, amazing breakfast, evening out at the local pub and access to the surrounding south Devon countryside.
