Absolutely the best place we have ever stayed, fabulous location and the most beautifully decorated country house the hosts were warm and friendly and the room was comfortable and well equipped with a super comfy enormous bed , breakfast was amazing, good choice with local produce and delicious homemade plum jam, plentiful piping hot and amazing service… sitting by the log fire in the lounge was a great extra ( which my little doggy loved) and the location and well manicured gardens were beautiful … can’t wait to stay again would recommend 100%.

Loved the style of the house and the gorgeous breakfast and our roll top bath, Very well situated for days out to Salcombe, Dartmouth ams Brixham.

Had originally booked it as was walking distance to two restaurants, both of which had closed down for various reasons, but that wasn't their fault but it was part of the allure of the village, but no fault at all work the Whitehouse, absolutely beautiful

What a find! Many thanks to Kate and Chris for creating a welcoming and congenial atmosphere in their beautiful hotel. Breakfast was excellent, and it was at treat to lookout on the garden as we ate. Our dog loved the morning sausage too. The room (5) was stunning, the bathroom was elegant and it was all spotlessly clean. It was a special treat for a special birthday and we couldn't fault it. Just outstanding.

We stayed about 5 years ago and though the place was amazing. We came back to stay last weekend and it's even better. Everything was wonderful from being welcomed by Chris and Katie, their flexibility, great breakfast, awesome room, the house and the surroundings. Great vibes. Thank you and we can't wait to come again.

The breakfast was honestly the best breakfast we have ever been served in a hotel. Really fresh and locally sourced food. The room was very clean and well decorated, a very comfortable bed, and we were lucky to have a room backing on to the quiet gardens so we had two good nights sleep. The hosts were warm and friendly, very accommodating and great tips for day trips, walks with the dogs and eating out. We were particularly impressed at how well we were accommodated with our dog - just because we had our dog with us that did not mean we had a room downgrade (which has happened at other hotels), our dog was welcomed to join us for breakfast (and even given a sausage) and the gardens were secure so he could run around off lead.

It’s very difficult to find any fault with the hotel but our only comment was the fact that there was not much privacy in the room due to the fact that there was no partition door to separate the toilet from the rest of the room - this was ok for us given we are a married couple and we were in a double room but it may be a consideration for anyone sharing a room with someone other a partner.

We loved our room at The Whitehouse and the owners have added such great pieces to the house. The decor across the house was beautiful and showed such attention to detail. Our room was really comfortable and the ensuite was a good size and nicely decorated. On top of that the service was brilliant for both checking in and out along with breakfast! Would definitely recommend.

Katie & Chris have created the perfect location for a fabulous getaway, with just the right combination of friendly & boutique styling. Delicious breakfast and some really nice little touches, including a freshly baked lemon drizzle cake awaiting us when we got back after a day of sightseeing. Can’t recommend this place highly enough & already looking for the next opportunity to visit.

Nothing but good things to say about The Whitehouse. A beautiful stylish house and gardens with excellent breakfast options and the owners Chris and Katie were really friendly and helpful. Our room was stunning and comfortable and importantly for us, dog friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Whitehouse and hope to be lucky enough to stay again.

Amazing place, beautiful interiors, helpful owners and amazing breakfast each morning (including a locally sourced dog sausage for our dog Luna). Incredible garden as well with honesty bar, so pour yourself a G&T and relax away. Location is also excellent for so many places - we enjoyed some great walks and the local beaches.

Everything was fantastic

Really nice property with ample space. Everything was very well presented. Room was really comfortable. Ample parking. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was great.

Needed a small fridge in the room for milk. Also the kettle was no where near a plug socket.
