OYO Abbey Hotel, London Shepherd's Bush Market

Lone traveler, stayed one night. Very roomy for a London budget hotel. Stayed at the top floor where the roof was slanted which might cause issues for taller people but the actual room was very spacious compared to most cheaper London hotels. Room and bed were clean. Location is excellent, especially if you are interested in visiting Westfield shopping center more frequently, and there are two tube stations really close by.

Corridors going up the stairs were narrow but that is pretty usual in London. Bathroom was small but that is to be expected in London. It's an oldish building and the age shows at places.

It was in front of a shopping center and very well located in terms of public transportation. The staff were super helpful and friendly. The room was ok.

The neighborhood was a little strange to go around at night. The hotel looks old and not with a lot of maintenance. There was not elevator, we stayed on the 2nd floor but taking suitcase up and down via stairs was not ideal. The staff help us when we arrived to take it up. The water boiler had water from before, not sure how long it was there and the cups and glasses were dirty.

The staff made us feel very welcome, throughout our stay. It was lovely and clean and when we came back we noticed our beds were made and our bins were emptied and tea and coffee replenished. The beds were extremely comfy. Close to White city shopping centre, close to Television Centre which was the reason we came to stay in the first place. Enjoyed a trip into the city,plenty of trains available and close by to our accommodation.

Just a little irritation that the bathroom light didn't always come on when I went in ,I think the sensor didn't pick me up because I am short.

- Great location. Huge Westfield shopping centre a couple of minutes walk away, as well as the tube station. Lots of pubs and restaurants nearby - Good value for money - Beautiful view from the window - Polite staff who helped lift suitcases to our floor Overall, it is a good hotel for its price and is perfect for a short stay. However, the interior and furniture definitely need to be freshened up

- The hotel and rooms are small - The interior and furniture were quite worn out - The bed linen was soiled. The bathroom was also dirty - There is no lift in the hotel. Meanwhile, the staircase is narrow. The hotel is definitely not suitable for people with disabilities. We had to lift our luggage up the stairs manually

Affordable hotel at Shepherd's Bush Market tube station, with Shepherd's Bush station a 5-10 min walk away, which provides a quick connection to Central London, like Bond Street and Oxford Circus. A huge shopping mall is right in front of the hotel if needed. It was a good value for money as far as London goes, according to my experience.

The room had rather interior, so don't expect shiny and expensive renovation. Bathroom in my room had a little odd configuration, the toilet was facing the wall at quite a short distance, so that it was not possible to sit on the loo in a normal forward facing position :'D

The security lock on the bedroom door could be improved

The staff were lovely, very welcoming. The rooms were basic, but immaculately clean and the bathroom although small was newly tiled with an excellent shower. The beds were really comfortable. I had a great couple of nights sleep. House keeping came in and cleaned our room after our first night, which was lovely to come back to later in the day and totally unexpected. Perfect location for The Westfield (across the road) and the Empire Theatre. Wonderful little hotel for the money. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Only a couple of small things. The tea making facilities could do with a little attention. The mugs were getting tired (chipped and cracked) and the teabags are better either individually sealed or in an airtight box. We also often smelt cigarette smoke in the hallway too. Not really an issue for us as our room didnt smell of it but could be off putting for some.

Much better than expected. OYO's get a bad rep, but this was very well located, right next to a mall with a bus stop outside. Just around the corner from metro stations too. Friendly staff. Wifi was decent. It was actually quiet. We were in a basement room, which wasn't really a basement, as it was still kind of outside - strange layout. Could hear the people upstairs, but they were quiet after like 10pm.

Shelf was broken in the room. Easy to fix, should be done before a new guests checks in. Bedding had rips in it. Could do with a spare pillow.

It was very clean, and comfortable . The location was fantastic for us close to the overground and opposite Westfield’s which wa stone reason for our visit to this part of London

Basic tea tray , and the bathroom was small ( we couldn’t shut the shower screen door as it was too stiff and we didn’t want to force it in case we broke it , but the shower was large so not closing the door wasn’t an issue

It was very clean and airy, it was so close to everything so location was superb. I would stay with OYO chain again

I had the single room in the attic. The room itself was lovely. The bed whilst clean was not comfortable for me, just a little bit too hard. The stairs were not a problem for me but I can see they would be an issue for the less mobile or unfit person. Just to note the hot water did work but took a long time to come through. This was likely because it was in the attic so just something to note. Men may struggle standing at the loo as it is in the eaves.
