Very welcoming receptionist, nice reception area and hallway / stairs etc and breakfast room, my room was behind a fire door and secure feeling main door. The room was small, but then it was a single, but was clean (and smelt fresh), very bright and large opening window, good and powerful shower and nicely decorated room in general. Breakfast was simple but plentiful and always someone on hand if you needed anything. The location is amazing, mid way between Euston Road and Covent Garden, no need for a tube during my 2 day stay!

The bed was a bit creaky (felt like the bolts needed tightening), a bulb was out in the shower room and the other (of the 3) was a bit flickery, the shower room was small so could have benefitted from a more compact basin (no need for vanity unit), and the air con didn't seem that cold, although the fan did make the room a little cooler. These are all really small gripes and wouldn't put me off staying here again.

My single room (6) was spotlessly clean with a shower that worked well; the decor and fittings looked fresh and smart. The bed was adequate - I slept soundly all night; while I prefer a duvet, I'm quite happy with sheets and blankets. The breakfast room was clean, light and airy, looking out onto the street, with a good help-yourself selection of cereals, rolls and warm(!) pastries, juices, and tea and coffee - more than adequate for me. The room is tiny but for a one-night stay I don't need more. There's no room for a wardrobe so the only place to hang clothes is on three hangers on a hook on the back of the entrance door. Again, for a short stay I don't need more. True, there's no lift - but in these 18th century town houses, that's to be expected. As for cost, it was in line with what you have to pay to stay in this part of London.

Two of the three lights in the shower room didn't work, nor did the extractor fan. The thermostat on the room radiator didn't work, either. I was irritated to get an email just minutes before I arrived soon after 6pm to say that reception was already closed and I'd need to find a key in a keybox by the front door. These niggles let down what otherwise seems to be a small, simple hotel that tries to be clean, modern and comfortable and largely succeeds.

The room was clean & the bed was fairly comfortable. Good bathroom facilities including toilettries & towels. Nice to have a mini fridge. Perfect location for a short stay near to Bloomsbury.

The room was on the lower ground floor in a very hot corridor - radiator was on high with no way to turn it down even though it was a hot sunny day! The room was quite small and warm even with the AC unit on. There was a fair amount of noise from the street outside but that's to be expected in central London.

I traveled with my 11 year old son for his birthday treat and we both had a great time. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was comfortable and the AC was lovely, showers all worked well. Breakfast was good, coffee was very good. My main concern with this trip as I was a women traveling alone with my child was would I feel safe and I absolutely did. Price and location are brilliant. If you're lucky you might catch a glimpse of the fox that lives at the top of the garden.

Great location, staff friendly and helpful, room clean, beds comfy, nice shower, hairdryer in room . WiFi. Lots of tea and coffee - fridge in room. Only downside was that TV didn't work, but was out most of the time so didn't affect my stay. Didn't try the breakfast- preferred my lie in!!! Would stay again.

TV didn't work room 17 - so could do with being fixed. No lift as expected given the age of the property, so if mobility issues worth asking for a room on the first floor. Apart from that all good.

Very well and tastefully renovated Had all we needed in a small space Breakfast was very good genuine French continental with basket of little viennoiseries including good croissants and pains aux chocolats.

The one and only fault was that the en suite toilet bowl was badly stained.. Probably stain wouldn't budge with normal cleaning due to there being a limestone deposit from hard water This then holds on to the stains. Serious limescale removal needed(or new toilet bowl) then weekly use of Harpic Power Plus Active tablets to prevent recurrence. I know all that s because I have to deal with limescale from hard water in our own home.

The hotel is very well located and the staff is very friendly. The dining room where breakfast was served was nice and the breakfast not bad. We also appreciated a lot the possibility of early check-in, even before the time stated in the booking conditions.

We got a room in the basement, which had all the features we expected, but the view was blocked and thus it was a bit like staying in the cellar. I believe that the rooms on the upper floors were nicer.

I loved the garden and terrace! Also my (single) room was nicely decorated (wooden panelling) and had a nice view over the garden. Everything was clean. Mattress was comfy. There were two blankets (rather than a duvet) on the bed which I prefer. Staff were available when I needed them and good pre-arrival Comms. Breakfast room was a good size. Tea/coffee in room was good brand and plentiful. Breakfast was fine continental (5xnice warmed breads/pastries, cereals, juice, tea, coffee) - but if you're expecting more be aware it's not continental+ (i.e. incl cheese/meat etc.). Filled me up anyway. Also good value for such a central location.

I'd have liked a lock/latch on my (2nd floor) windows but not a big issue. I believe the luggage store after checkout costs money and isn't secure which isn't great - but I didn't use this facility.

Welcoming staff who also accommodated requests e.g. extra copy of receipt, more water at breakfast; breakfast was simple and satisfying, with the bread and pastries served warm, in separately dressed bowls, and per individual too; ensuite finished to a good standard with mixer tap and shower plus hot water on immediate demand; several sockets and separate charging ports; towels etc provided.
