When I saw the reasonable price and the very positive ratings, I thought that this was too good to be true. However, when I came to the hotel and found a great, clean room and a really nice breakfast, I figured it was too good and also true! Many thanks to the super friendly staff! Great experience! Will definitely be visiting again!

Great location. Nice, clean and very cosy hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great varied and rich breakfast. Exceptional for the price (considering the prices in London). The room is not big but not small enough to feel uncomfortable. It's calm, well heated (been there in winter). One of the best hotel I've ever stayed to. Feels like being at home. If I come to London again I'll certainly stay there again !

Nice area, really clean room. The room was really nicely decorated with cover to bed which matched both curtains and floor. Fresh paintwork and a nice "old air" about it. This may sound basic, but in this pricerange it is rare that the room actually looks nice. The decor is homely and matches the building perfectly. Breakfast was superb and SO friendly staff, and also the receptionist was helpful and gave restaurant suggestions when I asked. I will definitely stay here again when in London next time!

The breakfast hours was in my opion too early for weekends, but everything else was great. It is an old building, so if noisy guests (but no noisy guests this time) they will be heard clearly.

I had a wonderful experience at the Ridgemount Hotel, a friendly family-run gem situated in an excellent location. The single room was perfect in size, impeccably clean, and delightfully quiet. The ensuite bathroom had a good modern shower. The breakfast experience was delightful, with the staff serving at the table instead of a buffet. The tasty fry served with ample portions was a great start to the day. The breakfast staff were friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. Furthermore, the hotel staff's care was evident when they offered to look after my luggage on departure, and I was pleasantly surprised to find my two books reunited with me, which I had left in the room. For transportation convenience, Goodge Street Underground station is very close, and Warren Street is only a few minutes away, with bus stops in between for above-ground travel. I thoroughly enjoyed my relaxing stay at the Ridgemount Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Thank you for a memorable experience!

Although there were no in-room tea/coffee facilities, it wasn't a big issue for me since there's a coffee shop across the road.

Amelia at reception greeted with warm and lovely smile. Information given on breakfast time, location of the restaurant, WiFi password etc. I booked a single room with shared bathroom, not an issue at all as the bathroom just next to my room. Very convenient. Clean toilet and shower room. Room was super clean. Small, but for what I’ve paid, I have nothing to complain about. Yes, it’s warm because it’s summer. The fan helps. There’s TV and hair dryer provided in the room. Can’t fault at all. If you’re on a budget, or just want a room to rest for a night or two, this is a perfect B&B. Walking distance from London Euston station, (12-14 min) and 14 min to British Museum.

There’s nothing that I dislike

Location was fantastic, just around the corner from Tottenham Court Road so lots of places to pick up food, drinks, anything you really wanted. Tube station 5 minutes away so fantastic for getting around also. The lady at check-in was absolutely lovely and was happy to give advice on places to go etc.

Room was a little on the small side to be honest and also was stifling hot when I arrived as the window had been left shut all day and there was no air-conditioning aside from an electric fan. But then again, they couldn't really do anything about the very hot weather London is having at the moment. Shower was also a little on the small side.

I was seeking a true London experience in a local hotel. This hotel did not disappoint. The location and ease of travel was a huge perk, but the accommodations, food, and staff were exceptional in every way. I would love to come back and stay again. There was some remodeling going on during the visit, but they did a great job of keeping it minimal and not a an issue for residents.

This is an old building, so you hear a lot of creeks and groans as people walk around. Early risers or late-nighters can cause some noise, but nothing too bad. Definitely not so bad as to outweigh all the positives.

The rooms are very basic, but that's all you need. There were 5 beds for 5 people, very comfortable. The breakfast was superb. The service was first rate. Don't come expecting luxury, but for the price and for the rooms that accommodate larger groups it can't be beat.

As we were situated below ground level we had some dead spots in our room where the WiFi didn't reach. The rooms were spartan and old fashioned: but again, I expected that from the reviews and the pictures so I'm not disappointed but I do think that for those expecting luxury, look elsewhere. (But I bet you won't find a better breakfast anywhere!)

The Ridgemount Hotel is well and centrally located. Several attractions are within walking distance (5 min to the British Museum). Public transport is also just around the corner. The hotel is of the small English type, my room was very basic but clean and tidy. However, it was very hot at the time (on the top floor) and I had the fan on all night (no AC). I could only book a room with a shared bathroom and was glad to have a sink in the room. The shower on the top floor shocked me at first because it is tiny and has no windows, but it was all fine and the shower itself was really nice! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. London's hotels are completely overpriced in my opinion and this hotel is very good value for money in this context. I can recommended it and would come again (if possible in a room with private bathroom).

If you have difficulties walking up stairs or your luggage is very heavy, this hotel is probably not for you as there are no elevators. At least you may ask for a room on the second floor. ;)

Old fashioned hotel but what was expected from description and reviews. Good location for a theatre trip. Breakfast was nice and served efficiently. Bed was a little firm but slept quite well and hardly heard traffic from the road outside. Friendly staff and we were able to leave our luggage in the lounge area for the day before our train home.

The shower head didn't stay upright It was warm and there was an electric fan provided in the room but it was very noisy. No tea/coffee facilities in the room but you could go and get free hot drinks from the vending machine in the lounge. It was just not ideal carrying down or up stairs.
