This hotel is situated in a great location, a five minute walk from the nearest underground station and main bus routes. At the same time it was in a lovely quiet location and our room overlooked a lovely walled garden, where you could sit outside. A hearty breakfast was included in our room rate. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed comfortable, along with two easy chairs. The manager Vince was exceptional with his customer service and provided a very warm welcome and could not do enough to help make our stay enjoyable and the team in the breakfast service area were friendly and efficient. Represents very good value for money given the location and access to transport.

When you are leaving, if you are relying on a taxi service, make sure you allow plenty of time for one to arrive. The staff did what they could with helping book a taxi, though for a considerable time, no taxi wanted to accept the journey we wanted to make. Beyond the control of the hotel, just a handy hint.

Good breakfast, cooked to order. Excellent location, near Goodge Street tube station and walking distance to other stations and tube lines. Very friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Great garden. Lovely shower with hot water. Good linen.

Not that I "didn't like" it but the room was bijou and I could have done with a chair, however, small. The bathroom did have a bit of a drainage odour, which is not unusual with older London establishments, and there were no problems with the plumbing.

All staff, both at the reception and in the restaurant were extremely friendly and helpful, far beyond what you get in most of other hotels. I felt really like at home. Location is not far from the subway station so can be reached by foot, or if the weather is good can walk to many central attractions. I have got very quiet room looking over the garden, was small but there is everything you need for just staying overnight. There is the British breakfast which was fresh and very delicious.

Would be nice to have a small table and the chair in the room in case you need to use the PC from the hotel. Also wifi connection was breaking sometimes, luckily I didn't have to work from the room. The rest, everything was perfect!

The hotel was easy to find and at an amazing location, a walking distance from all the major train stations. The single room was exactly what I expected; the bed was extremely comfortable, despite the small hick-up of the headboard not being properly attached to the bed frame. The breakfast was amazing. The staff was extremely helpful and understanding.

I encountered several minor issues which did not affect my stay at all - the water pressure in the shower was not great; the bed frame has seen better days; the room wasn't thoroughly checked from previous guests and there were some items left in the drawers.

They were extremely friendly and adaptable. My train to London got cancelled and I arrived after midnight. Still, they opened up for me. The English breakfast is awesome and I could basically go on about my trip without being bothered.

Only to be expected in the very center of London for this price: very small rooms and bathroom, somewhat thin walls. The curtains and carpet are a bit, erm, English. The bathroom did have a single tap, though, and, if you don't know how great this is, you haven't spent a lot of time in the UK. For me as a solo business traveller, it was great.

My single room was very quiet and had a big window with a really nice garden view. Everything was tidy and in good working condition. Every inch of the available space was used in best possible manner. Plenty of electric outlets for such a small space, USB included. The shower worked well and the quality of the available shower gel was better than average. The location of the hotel is good and felt safe. The breakfast was good and the WiFi worked well most of the time.

The single room was really tiny and there were awkward steps to it that nearly killed me the first day (old buildings can be like that). Can’t really recommend for large people. Lack of air conditioning might be a problem during the summer season (wasn’t now).

James and everyone were really helpful with my request to leave luggage prior to stay. They also helped take bags up to my room, which was appreciated since it was a couple of flights up with no elevator. It is also well located, not far from a bunch of Tube stations and bus lines. The British Museum is only a couple of blocks down. The full English breakfast was very good.

The hotel is more a bed & breakfast. There was no desk in the room. The en suite bath, while clean and functional was very small. There was no elevator. They don't have someone manning Reception officially after 10 pm. If you arrive after 11 pm, they will charge you extra.

The whole staff was very polite and helpful. The breakfast was pretty good (although not the next level experience the ratings here implied) and widely varied, with both an English breakfast and a more "conventional" (but still diverse) selection of spreadables and cereal.

Note that the rooms with shared bathroom share literally one toilet and one (separate) shower among four rooms. Waiting times can be long, specially in the morning. The walls were pretty thin and the floor squeaked quite a bit.

The room was very compact but comfortable and came with coffee and tea and a hot water machine. Very good for those wake-ups. The shower was fantastic and the beds were fantastic as well. The location in itself was located near the tube and the British Museum and likewise you could go walking everywhere. The staff was willing to help and allowed us to check in early. Very great experience at a perfect value. We were able to sleep well and was very little noise, well soundproof windows. The TV was also nice at the end of the day.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like. We were satisfied with everything.

Excellent location. It's close to Goodge St tube & Tottenham court rd tube. It's an easy walk from Kings Cross / St Pancras. The cooked breakfast is fantastic plus there's cereal, fruit, toast, juice, tea & coffee. The room was ideal - very functional. It had a wardrobe with plenty of coat hangers. The bathroom was small but clean & had a good shower. The staff were friendly & helpful. I would definitely stay again.
