Good location only steps away from Paddington - yet still fairly quiet thanks to being on a side street. I had a great room on the 4th floor with more mod cons that expected for the price, i.e. safe, coffee machine, proper wardrobe, space to store luggage etc. Room was also bigger than I thought it was going to be. Bathroom looked newly renovated. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The bathroom had a very loud fan that turned on every single time you stepped into it. The neighbouring rooms had the same loud fans, so every time the other guests stepped into their bathrooms, you could hear that as well (walls in the hotel are thin). That was a very distracting on-off noise, especially at night. Highly recommend bringing earplugs to sleep, otherwise you'll keep getting woken up. Could the hotel maybe replace those loud fans with quieter ones, and ones that can be turned on and off manually?

The Hotel was friendly and accommodating of travelers including myself who arrived prior to check in- They were willing to store bags securely while waiting for the room to be ready. No rooms were ready before the designated check in time. I would like to add that as I was departing my wheel broke on my large luggage... The hotel staff went above and beyond to help me repair that wheel and the repairs they made worked flawlessly for the rest of my trip. I was so incredibly grateful to them for being willing to pitch in and help out a customer in a bind like that.

Lots of folks while I waited in the lobby were complaining that the rooms are tiny. It's a valid complaint at this property however, I don't see what they expected to change... They ought to have seen the size of the rooms when making their booking.

Great location with everything that we needed

Very convenient location specially if you're taking heathrow express (4 minute walk from to and from paddington station). Safe area. Check in was smooth and staff are nice and helpful. I got there early after a long flight and I was checked in right away. Room was very clean. Bed is comfortable. There is shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There is an iron, AC, mini fridge and hair dryer. Hangers also available. Free coffee with nespresso machine, tea and water heater available.

Room is small so not ideal for those with lots of luggage. Shower drain was slow to drain water and could overflow (maybe just in my room). Some noise can be heard from the street and the room next door, but this didn't bother me much as it was not loud and consistent - just people passing by. Lastly, I had to move the water heater to use it because there was no plug near where it was placed. So if you wanted to use that or the nespresso machine, you'd have to move it to the bedside table which was a bit inconvenient.

Close to Paddington Station and easy access to all the tourist attractions. We rented bikes and rode from the hotel to Big Ben. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, but do not expect the hotel to be quiet. The Underground runs right under the hotel and it starts at 5:45 am. You do get used to the noise. All the hotels in the area have the same issue. We upgraded our room from a standard double room to the king room after checking in. They put us on the basement level and not close to our kids, the hotel is like a maze. We upgraded to the king room on the 1st floor and was very happy with the upgrade. The kids standard twin room was amazing. Plenty of room and a cool bathroom.

Standard room on the basement level was very small. Bathroom was tiny and the room did not have much natural light. The Underground runs under the hotel so the noise was much louder on the basement level. We upgraded to a king room to be on the 1st floor. The king room was all bed and there was not much room to move around or put luggage. The bathroom was much better in the king room.

The location of the hotel is next to Paddington station and it comes with all the restaurants and cafés in the area. Clearly it provides the basics, that’s why the rest of that hotel is not triple of the five star hotels in the same area. So the people booking already have expectation on what they will get. However the hotel provided a bit more than the basics, which I felt it was a good value for money. If you’re looking for a full facility then you already know you have to choose another hotel and pay triple the price

As a solo traveller I felt Jawad, who worked the front desk at night, went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. He also made sure I knew the hotel address and that I had a contact number at the hotel in case there were any issues when coming back late to the hotel.

The room I chose was compact but was fine for me as a solo traveller. I could put my small case on it’s side at the foot of the bed and still have enough floor space. I found any little issues I brought to the hotels attention e.g. needing a thicker duvet as I was cold. was rectified quickly. The fridge, in my room, was cool but not as cold as I would have liked, but this didn’t affect my stay.

The location of this hotel is amazing! It is a very short walk to Paddington train station and Underground, which means getting around London and arriving and departing from Heathrow incredibly easy. The hotel is newly renovated, and although the rooms are fairly small, they are very well appointed. The staff at this hotel is wonderful. The front desk is staffed 24/7, and they are extremely welcoming and helpful. In fact, several times we met with our traveling companions in the lobby, and greatly enjoyed visiting with whichever staff member was at the desk.

We stayed in two different rooms on two different stays and prefer the room on the first floor. We also stayed in a room which was below grade, and we could hear and feel the subway trains from Paddington.

This hotel experience was awesome!! I am INCREDIBLY picky about where I stay. And I was really worried about staying a hotel as opposed to an AirBnB in London, because mold is abundant in London (old houses, damp weather, mold). But my experience at the Rove was fantastic. We stayed there for more than a week at the beginning of our trip, and we were so happy with our experience, we stayed there at the end of our month-long trip. They recently renovated, and IIRC, they gutted an old building and rebuilt the interior. So, it's basically brand new in terms of the rooms. I LOVED the efficient layout of the rooms. All the rooms are slightly different in layout due to space, the efficient way they squeeze so much into a small room is incredible. For one person it was great. For a couple, it might be a little cramped, but the beds are really, really comfortable. The shower took a day to get used to size, it's a little small, but still had decent amount of turn around space. The faucet took some fiddling with until I realized that like driving on the left in UK, hot water handle is the opposite from here in US *grin* The room was a bit cramped between foot of the bed and wall space with my suitcase, which was huge (70pds at Delta), but again, it was relatively easy to deal with. I stayed at this hotel with friends, and we had rooms right next to each other. For the price, this hotel packs a wallop. It's a nice room with all the amenities (even and ironing board) EXTREMELY, COMFORTABLE bed, and great location. About a 5-7min walk to Paddington Station, which we went to a lot. Cabs are easy to catch around the corner if you don't want to use the Tube. I'd give this hotel 11 stars if possible, and it's my go-to hotel in 2025 when I go back to London.

There wasn't much of anything I didn't like. Being from the US, space isn't an issue here. UK and Europe have small spaces, so I expected things to be a bit reduced. The only confusing thing was how to work the thermostat. It's blue tooth, and that took a couple of days to figure out, and staff came up to show me how to use it. That is honestly the only things that had trouble with.
