Olympic House Hotel

The room was better than I expected. Very clean and bathroom seemed to have been recently refurbished and looked quite modern. I booked a single room and was presently surprised to be given a double room at no extra cost. There aren't many other facilities around the hotel that I could see but I only wanted a place to sleep so this was ideal. 2 stations very close by along with plenty of restaurants and bars etc. I arrived late also (after 1am) and there was no issue checking in at that time, I booked this place as I just needed somewhere to sleep each night but it exceeded my expectations and I would definitely stay again.

My room was in the basement so my window looked out into a small alleyway so not much to see. There was also the faint noise of trains early in the morning but this is a result of being so conveniently located beside the train station.

Hotel is very good for it's prise. Great location near Paddington station, where you can take a few underground lines to explore London. There are restorants and small shop nearby.

There is no minibar or refrigerator in the room. A towel rack in the bathroom would be very useful too

Very good location, easy to find. The room was very clean, despite the location - -relatively quite. Breakfast is modest but everything you want not to start your day hungry. Very nice and helpful staff. It was included in the price so I prefer to spend less for the hotel and enjoy the diversity of places to eat (even around!)

A little 'claustrophobic' space (although you have everything necessary) but it is London! Anyway I didn't come to spend time in a hotel room, there are plenty more places in London to spend money than £££ for a night in a more excellent hotel (unless you have too much and must do something about it!

whoops, I rate the previous ST. George booking with Olympic House Hotel in mind. Can you switch them? Olympic House was much better in some ways than St. George. So Sorry! If you want to delete that one I will do them both over. Olympic House Hotel- great to have breakfast, be on a lower floor, have a lift!!!! very helpful and gracious staff, location and appearance of the hotel was inviting.

My window overlooking a small courtyard I could not lock which made me a little uncomfortable. I would have liked a teapot in my room - most places have this now and I was disappointed to find that there was not one. It was the second or third day that I learned there was one upstairs near the lobby.

Spotlessly clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Beds very comfortable clean bedding, good mattress. Decor and cupboard space excellent.

No air conditioning and could not open the window for fresh air. No kettle in the room had to keep asking for a cup of tea and then you felt not like wanting to ask too often. Breakfast no fresh fruit or porridge for extra choice. Only one card to access door and the lighting! between two people if one wants to go out you have to keep hold of the card in the room otherwise the lighting goes out. So had to keep knocking on the door to get back in. You could not go out separately if you wanted too.

London hotels have very tiny rooms so I wasn't expecting much space. The room was small but enough for two people. The bathroom seemed to be recently renovated since it was sparkling clean. Beds were comfortable. The weather was mild so I just opened the windows and felt comfortable, they have AC for warmer days. The continental breakfast was good, not much variety but satisfying, the breakfast service ladies were so nice. Paddington is a good area to stay, the Paddington station connects many underground lines and is like a 3 min walk, there are many restaurants and cafes a few meters away. Overall I had a great stay.

Wifi was ok for social media and browsing but not enough for streaming.

Room, bathroom, breakfast room and reception area all spotless. Excellent location, 3 mins walk from Paddington Tube Station, Praed Street. Ladies in the breakfast room were super nice:) Definitely can recommend.

As other reviewers pointed out, the mattresses in the single rooms were really poor. The single occupancy rooms I saw (2) were pretty cozy ie small but fine really. The throw on top the bed was tired looking and needed taking off immediately from my perspective and I did! The breakfast was basic but sufficient, you get what u pay for; boiled eggs, toast, preserves, tea, coffee, cereals, basic processed cheese & ham slices again the ladies in the breakfast room were super nice:)

Location was great, 4 minutes walking from Paddington station, 8 minutes from Edgeware Road, and 22 minutes from Marble Arch. The hotel was clean!

I was not impressed with local resteraunts, coffee shops or pubs. With regard to the hotel, I had 2 very minor issues: 1. The air conditioning was controlled from reception. The night porter was argumentative with me on the first night and didn't want to switch it on, but finally did. I had him turn it off an hour later. 2. Bizarrely, the undersheet on the bed was a flat sheet that barely covered the mattress, by an inch or two all round. Having said all that, the room was clean, although small. Breakfast was a choice of 2 cereals, coffee or tea, toast (take what you get no choice white or brown), a warm hard boiled egg, sliced cheese and something that resembled ham ( probably spam).

Located within walking distance of Paddington station with few subway lines. Places to eat and shop nearby. Basic breakfast (toast, cheese, ham, eggs, butter, coffee, juice, water,..). Not the best, but it serves the purpose. Good value for money in expensive London. I was pleasantly surprised by the property and enjoyed my stay. Would stay at this property again.

Air condition is not included in the room price, but fortunately it was not hot during our stay. Breakfast room could be bigger, it can happen that you need to share the table with other guests.

We liked the location, within easy reach of Paddington underground. It was also extremely easy to hail a taxi along the main road. There is a lovely Itallian cafe called Mimo's across the street where we had breakfast each day.

There are no tea or coffee facilities in the rooms. Not even a coffee machine in the foyer for instance. When we came back each evening we were able to buy take away coffee in Paddington Station, but it would have been nice to be able to have a drink first thing in the morning.
