ibis London Stratford

Room was compact but clean and had everything you would need for a one night base camp for a London stay inc. hairdryer and shower toiletries which were a bonus. Beds were very hard but new & clean. Staff did best to accommodate our early arrival. 5 minute walk from Stratford underground, good 10/15 minute walk from Stratford international but great base camp to see London including going to The O2 area.

Mattress was a little hard but can’t please everyone. £20 early check in fee not competing with in same budget hotel bandings. No spoons for tea/coffee, no bath matt which was definitely needed in the bathroom “pod”.

The room was much as we expected no noise from inside the hotel. TV well placed - not too high. Very comfortable bed. When we booked we requested two single duvets on our double bed, the duvets were on the bed on arrival. We were going to see ABBA Voyage and the hotel was perfectly positioned for the tube through to Pudding Mill Lane. Lovely large rashers of bacon for our breakfast on the first day.

We would have liked a hand towel to go with the two bath towels. Couldn't work out how to use Chromecast on the TV, although we have it at home and have used it in other hotels. The large rashers of bacon weren't served for breakfast on our second day.

The hotel was clean and the staff welcoming. The room was comfortable and basic. The hotel was quiet but obviously nothing could be done about the road noise outside. I did think that there maybe the window was slightly open. Earplugs will be included in my luggage for the next time!! The hotel was also within walking distance of Stratford station. The staff were very helpful and booked a taxi for us. All in all a very good experience for my first time in an Ibis hotel. Would definitely recommend it.

I am not sure that it can be improved, apart from the hotel foyer/bar area was very hot. Apart from that I have nothing to complain about.

Room is very nice , no real extras other than drink making facilities , but clean & comfortable. Cooked breakfast was great , fills me up until I get a cooked meal in the evening. Easy to find only 5-10 minutes from Stratford station.

Arrived 2.40 , room not ready but only had to wait 5 minutes. 3pm is too late for check in , it means most of the 1st day is used up , so would either have to leave luggage at a station or at the hotel with extra cost ? - not good. Location is great when there are light evenings but I would probably feel a little uneasy getting there in the dark.

Comfortable location!

We arrived after 10 PM because our flight was delayed and the door was closed. The bell near the door didn’t work, we saw through the window staff in the hotel but they didn't see us. We were waiting near the door and knocking for 15 minutes it was awful! After 15 minutes one of the guests went out and the door opened. The staff didn't excuse this, and the hotel didn't tell us that door closes after 9 PM.

Great location within walking distance from most amenities and public transports. Food was nice and the staff where all smiley and cheery, they seemed lovely. The room wasn’t big but it had everything you needed and didn’t feel claustrophobic or cheap.

There wasn’t a formal place to check in (it was just a table opposite the bar) so that confused us a bit but it wasn’t a huge deal, didn’t effect our stay at all. The price for the hotel was more than I was expecting too as someone from up north but for a hotel in London it definitely wasn’t the worst, can’t complain

Excellent location and very easy to get to by foot from Stratford London Station. The staff on the Reception Desk were very welcoming and helpful. Our room had everything we needed and we appreciated the air conditioning after our long journey. The room was really quiet and we had an undisturbed night's sleep. The mattresses were a little firm, but that is a personal preference. Great room facilities and the breakfast in the morning was delicious and comprehensive!! Thank you for a great stay.

I would have preferred a few more teabags in the room, but the staff were most helpful when we asked for more at the Reception desk. The bed was a bit firm, but for one night this wasn't a problem.

A nice selection of breakfast choices, both hot and cold!! The bands were comfy and the little en-suite although very compact, it felt very spacious (especially the shower)

Can’t think of anything really, except than when we came out of the station, we managed to come a really long way round rather than straight through shopping centre, so apart from feeling pretty damn tired we were then worrying about a surprise we had booked for my son's birthday, the receptionist was lovely, called us a taxi and they were all just lovely.

Breakfast was great , good choice of hot/cold menu. The hot option was hot which is not always the case at hotels. Bacon very tasty. Plenty of space in breakfast room. But have to say that the toaster was useless , very slow & wouldn't brown the bread.

Apart from the toaster issue , no real problems. Evening meal menu didn't look particularly exciting so didn't have one. However it was cheap & would have been OK if needed. Plenty of eating places nearby & at Stratford station area.

The greeting from reception when we came in was wonderful. Lovely guy. The rooms and TV were decent sized for the price.

There was a lady at reception who was quite frustrating. I ordered a pizza went down to pick it up. Struggled with trying to get back through the door. She watched me struggle with it and when I asked for her help ignored me. Ended up waiting for other guests. Same lady seemed very frustrated when I was trying to check out. I only needed to give my key cards.
