Sunborn London Yacht Hotel

I originally booked for one night. I attempted to increase it to two nights. Very chaotic system wouldn't put the two dates together. On contact with booking.com and the yacht they agreed that it was done however, at the yacht the reception couldn't reconcile the idea and kept messing the booking about!! Many talks later we did actually have two nights booking but had to keep up dating our door keys, which for several members of the party did not function properly, looking them out if the room and the corridors. What a pain! I enjoyed my lunch at the bar. Kiran at the bar gave excellent service and went over and above to suit my requests for other milk. I enjoyed my room facilities. The cleaning staff were excellent. My seven friends and I had an overall good stay. Beautiful yacht.

The yacht is very impressive, the location for us was fantastic. It was very clean and the bed was so comfortable.

My partner and I had 2 drinks each in the bar. 2 x jd and coke and 2 x bacardi and coke The bill was £74 They didn't have enough change in the till so we ended up paying £80 We know London is pricey but that was more than half of the cost we paid to stay the night. That was the only negative

The hotel is good, clean and the staff are amazing!

Don’t book via Booking.com you get put in a room which is on level 1 as this is where the booking.com rooms are with no window which opens and a very bad smell. I complained to reception and was moved to level 3 which was great. Book direct.

The location was excellent to visit the O2 and facilities were excellent

Trying to book in the restaurant was a real pain. We booked lunch at 3.30pm, were 10 minutes late and were turned away. We rebooked for 5pm and arrived at 4.50pm to be greeted by a less than polite member of staff who told us we were early? Room service was non existent. The same evening we tried to order food and were told that there was only the option of a margarita pizza! We both felt his was pretty pathetic for such a hotel and staff were not sympathetic or accommodating. This was not in keeping with the rest of our experience and will definitely affect our decision to rebook on our next visit to London !

it was perfect for the 02 , room was lovely and big with a view , bed was comfortable and it was very quiet at night which was perfect , breakfast was very good with plenty to choose from.

when we arrived our room was not ready so we planned on having drinks in the bar , ordered drinks but they had still not arrived after 45 minutes so i had to go let them know , was not happy about this as several other people were being served frequently and had several drinks before we even had our 1st , so due to this we didn't stay in the bar and went elsewhere

This hotel has a touch of old school glamour and is located in a really accessible location - you can get the Elizabeth Line straight from Paddington, and can also get into central London easily. The hotel is right by the Excel centre and is less the a 5 minute walk to the Emirates cable car. It is also very easy to walk to Greenwich. The Victoria Docklands where the Sunborn London Yacht is located have swimming and other water sports available, so take your swimming stuff if you’d like an adventure. The staff were very friendly and glamorous. The whole place was spotlessly clean. We really enjoyed our stay.

We ate out while we were in London. We didn’t eat at the hotel as we felt it was pretty expensive- especially for breakfast. There were some good places to eat nearby, so this wasn’t a problem though.

The entire place is beautiful from the chandelier in the reception to the Venere wood trimming in the room, super Yacht feeling, the view from the upper deck sitting area is breathtaking, I got free room upgrade and U can do late checkout with additional £20 per hour after 12 noon, Breakfast is nice so many options buffet, I wish the Orange juice glasses were slightly bigger haha I had to walk down twice for a refill

No parking but this isnt much of an issue because for £25 you can park at a gated multi floor Novotel car park for 24hrs, there are other near by parking like Excel and street parking

The yacht is pretty and quirky which is nice for a change. We had an executive room with a view of the water which was lovely. It was also nice to sit at the bar terrace and look at the view towards the Emirates Sky Line. Our first room had a bit of a dreadful smell but the gentleman on reception kindly moved us to a new room ASAP which was so much better. The bed was large and comfortable and the rooms were quite too. We ate in the restaurant for one of our evening meals and the food was very nice.

I was slightly disappointed that no water was supplied in the room. I understand why the mini bar is currently empty but I thought a bottle of water would at least be supplied. I’ve stayed in previous hotels during Covid and have always had water supplied. There is a Tesco express within a 5 min walk so we just stocked up on some soft drinks and water for our stay.

The hotel was lovely. So nice to stay somewhere a little out of the ordinary. Excellent for the price. Great location for the O2 as right next to stations and cable car. Staff were so lovely - friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Lobby with chandelier and spiral staircase is beautiful. Rooms were spacious, very comfortable and well equipped. Kettle, coffee maker, fridge, iron, ironing board and robe/slippers. We were given rooms near each other and upgraded to balcony rooms. Check in and out quick and easy. Great selection for breakfast. We loved our stay and would stay again. Highly recommend.

Only one minor issue not a problem. Bathroom initially smelled of drains but it passed after toilet had been flushed. I assume its due to drainage on yacht as it was immaculately clean.

The room was spacious, clean and confortable. We had a room on a lower deck so the window/ porthole couldn't be opened. - no problem as the air conditioning was quietly effective. The complimentary bottled water was a welcome touch especially after a warm day travelling to and through London. Breakfast on the rear deck waas made special by a fascinating view of the East London developments including cable cars and City Hall.

It took a while to get functioning keys on our arrival at the hotel reception - although staff apologised for the delay it could have been better handled with an offer of seats and perhaps refreshments while the problem was sorted.
