Good Hotel London

The location is excellent if you want to go to London Excel. But we also found it very practical that the IFS Cloud Cable car is just at your feet and brings you to the O2 milennium dome. Light rail and metro stations are closeby and bring you to the city center in about 20 minutes. The Good Hotel supports social projects in Latin America and provides training for people who may otherwise find it difficult to find jobs. The staff was well trained, super friendly and helpful. Beautiful views on the docks while having breakfast, great place to work and have meetings. The athmosphere is really cozy and warm even though it has a bit of an industrial look.

The rooms are convenient but a bit on the smaller side.

The whole atmosphere in the hotel was so refreshing. The staff who were greeting customers were exceptional, so helpful, friendly, informative and provided excellent customer service. The rooms were compact but perfect. Clean and cool. The domestic team were so helpful, I requested a sheet as it was too hot under the duvet, this request was granted without any hesitation.

The food option wasn't great, the small menu, the staff behind the counter were so helpful and tried their hardest to help However the senior member who they spoke with, the chef possibly or manager was very dismissive and quite rude to the very helpful staff. This was my only issue but it doesn't change my review.

Room is small but quite okay for a single person. Location is excellent, very near to Excel and good access to public transport Bed was so comfy and the lake view was superb! a cruise-like experience! The breakfast was also perfect at the waterview cafe!

Having no fridge was a big restriction! I do not mind having no TV, however would appreciate having cupboards too (instead of hangers on the wall) the cleaning staff may have been suffering from hair fall :( Some short body hairs was left on the washing basin and I had spotted this in other reviews too.

The styling was great

The size of the room, the lack of breakfast options. Poor use of space, giant shelving unit seemed a little pointless and took up a huge amount of space. The alarms on the doors woke me up several times in the night

We loved the hotel's values - 100% profits go to the communities where the Good Hotels are situated. We had one of the 4 corner rooms - the view of the dock was stunning, the room was huge. Lovely atmosphere and decor in the lounge, bar area. Lovely breakfast - cooked and continental options available. Although under the take off path of the London City Airport, the planes stop at 10pm midweek and the first take off didn't take place in the morning until 7am - thank goodness. I was surprised that there was no TV - initially I didn't like this but we loved it in the end. We just read books and looked at the view. Couldn't hear anyone above, below or ether side. Maybe cos there was no TVs?

No plug sockets near easily accessible mirrors so could not do hair and makeup easily. I am incredibly short sighted and am only 5'2" so could not reach bathroom mirror to see what I was doing. I think the carpets in the rooms could be shampood more regularly - the odd stain here and there. It didn't even occur to us when booking that we're right under the take off path of London City Airport - didn't bother us cos we love planes but it could REALLY bother others cos those engines are loud. I wish it was a boat that actually floated.

points to improve 1. shower caps should be in every room I feel for the price you pay. 2. female sanitary bag/paper would be appreciated in the toilets. 3. the breakfast discount is only if you book in advance the day before - which seems a little unfair as it seems a little pricey. 4. Nicer coffees with no plastic wrapping so more ways to be green and plastic free

When you walk in it's like being in the coolest, chicest, calmest home ever... but with people wanting to do things for you, not the other way around (like in my house). Such a unique space - glorious to be in. My room was small, but functional - it had everything I needed. You may struggle if you have loads of luggage or need an excessive amount of storage space. I can honestly say it was the cleanest hotel room I've ever been in. Amazingly comfy bed. I loved the fact there was a room where you can go and do your ironing, rather than wastefully putting hundreds of irons in every room, most of which would never be used. Same goes for the TVs - no TV in the room. Not a problem for me. I had my work laptop with me anyway, and was told I could borrow an iPad from Reception if I wanted. I was a bit sad when I checked out, so I hung around the 'living room' area for a while... no one seemed to mind.

I don't feel like I can fault this place. I think I could've done with a teeny bit more space in the room, but I probably would've been fine if I'd put my case and clothes away properly. Being a messy person at the Good Hotel is really noticeable because the space is so well planned and functional.

Really great value for money, compared to other hotels and accommodation in London. Super close to the DLR, which meant it was a handy location to travel across the city; the staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating, going out of their way to make our stay special. I would definitely recommend the Good Hotel to friends and family, and would certainly stay again.

The ONLY negative I have is that the breakfast was slightly cold. This was unfortunate as it could've been 10/10 - but I think because it's buffet-style, it is bound to happen (& we probably got there at the wrong time!)

Location is perfect, opposite railway station, short walk to the tube, few feet away from the cable car that takes you over to the O2, and back, day and night. Bars and restaurants near by, and the Excel centre a few minutes walk away. Clean, staff friendly, some of the food we ordered on day of arrival not available, but what we got was fab.

Difficult one this, as just personally not our cup of tea. No TV, no wardrobe, hooks on wall, no drawers, shelves, 1 plug socket, no bedside tables, shelf at back of bed, no bedside lamps. Room extremely small. Did it spoil our break, no, we just got on with it. Bought a plug board. But guests just need to be aware of the lack of certain luxuries.

Nice hotel building on water with a wonderful view. Would be nice to hear from the staff on the establishment of the hotel. Nice design and staff are very helpful. Nice location, and is well connected by metro; a Tesco is just a few steps away, where you can get most of the things you might need.

unfortunately the elevators does not work, in the meantime, there are some improvement on house cleaning.
