I loved the facilities, it has very clean decor, and the route to central london was very easy! - it is a good location and I would visit again.

I didn’t like the £25 per night deposit that was only mentioned upon arrival, I feel this should be listed in the initial fee, or Atleast mentioned within the confirmation email. with the £25 fee in mind, the staff are excellent and the property itself is incredible! - I would stay here but feel the additional fee should be listed on Booking.com also, if you’re ordering an Uber eats, it arrives round the front whilst the construction is taking place 😂 - it’s a two minute walk; it’s not bad 👀

The staff were great! Especially LINDA, SNEHA, and the other ladies in the restaurant. My husband and I went for our wedding anniversary and they set up the room up wonderfully for us for free and we also had a great view (as requested) although the Excel expansion was a bit of an eye sore but from our bed, looked like penthouse views of parts of London over the river and the planes coming into city was a great unexpected addition. My husband loved it! Unfortunately my husband then became unwell from our first night but they were brilliant and always on hand to provide lemon slices and honey! The breakfast was modest but enjoyable especially the omlette on order. Sticky toffee pudding was great but needs a better helping of the ice cream than the little sauce pot of ?20ml that came with it. Unfortunately we didn't get to use the spa facilities and gym so unable to comment

We were disappointed in the restaurant when we ordered room service as we were told almost 1 hour later that we couldn't have food due to a technical fault? It was more disappointing because we had to chase it up and were first told the order was coming. Also it was after 10pm by this point so most places were closing so we were now backed into a corner to get hot food. They did offer us complimentary sandwiches and other cold food but my husband was unwell, so we wanted something warm. It would be nice to serve room service food in plates than in cardboard boxes. Better portion of ice cream with cakes on menu.

we were traveling with teenagers, our breakfast would cost GBP 70/day for 4 persons. No option to open windows, therefore airco is mandatory in operation.

Room was very clean and very quiet so a peaceful nights sleep. Hotel also had 24 hour shop which was handy, however a little on the expensive side. Hotel also a 2 minute walk from the Prince Regents DLR station which made commuting very easy and accessible. Would definitely stay here again for any future trips.

As the weather was so hot during our stay, we were pleased to see that the room had air con, however, unfortunately it wasn't the most effective - very slow at cooling the room. Also be aware of the £25 a night deposit for any accidental damage... this does get refunded at the end of your stay though!

Nice hotel, good to reach. I recommend to book with breakfast, I didn't in advance but had breakfast as it looked really good and it also was. Amazing big bed, also loved the huuuge blanket. Really modern and clean everything. The staff is nice and helpful, got an upgrade to a higher level, lovely. Saw the planes landing right in front of the windows, loved it. There is also a massive construction going on directly in front the windows due to the extension of the ExCel exhibition centre. Outside its really loud because of that but inside you don't hear ANYTHING! The noise isolation is incredible. Also I didn't hear anything from my neighbors, don't even know if I had some. The pool is absolutely okay, not huge but clean and hey, its a pool!! Of course you also have to have luck with the hotel guests, regarding a quiet pool experience, but luckily there were no kids or families in the pool when I was there. Also the pool times are great, I guess from 6am-11pm, perfect. There is also a gym but I didn't used it because it's holiday and not a sports event ;) Three elevators which operate really fast, carpet in the hall support the reduce of noice additionally. Nice seating area outside and cool bar. What should I say more? Will definitely come back. Dear managers: I really hope you appreciate your OUTSTANDING staff because they make this hotel experience amazing.

Regarding the tidyness there were spots in the bathroom which needed a little more attention. I reported it to the staff and they were really kind and offered me an upgrade and breakfast for ne next time. There was a contagious streaming sound which didn't stop although I switched of the air condition. Didn't know what it was but I which it wasnt there

The calmness and friendliness of staffs always smile and ready to help right away , the spacious an suite , the soft clean nice smells towels , the dinner in the Restaurante. Oh and never run out of bathroom products 😜🤣Absolutely great experience .

The lift was a bit confusing at first 😊 Our suggestion for the future to swap for a bit more comfortable beds. For some reason others we stayed with in this hotel think the same . Actually the mattress not the bed frame we think is not comfortable , at the edge of the mattress is kind of too soft makes it feels that you constantly rolling down from it when you turn. The latex mattress would be much better as its density won’t let this happening , always keep the right shape to support .

I liked the contemporary design of the hotel from entrance to the common areas, restaurant, and the room. If there was no construction happening outside by the docks, I'm sure the lobby and bar would have more natural lighting even with the grey skies. I liked that the snack shop was right across the reception area where it was convenient to be reminded what I wanted to have in my room. The staff was very friendly, especially it was a long travel day, they answered my questions and provided additional information that I might find useful for the Star Wars convention I was attending that weekend. The room was very spacious but I was traveling by myself although with 2 large suitcases full of costumes to assemble. Housekeeping was attentive with daily checks and would leave a note under my door to let me know they came by. I had the do not disturb sign on my door for days I didn't need service. I believe I had an upgrade and a hotel loyalty membership so there were extra amenities like complimentary bottled waters which was essential. I liked the restaurant had a very well curated offerings for diverse palettes from burgers to truffle fries, to very filling small plates and my favorite main dish was the chicken curry with garlic naan and basmati rice. The warm toffee pudding with salted caramel ice cream was such a great treat on one of the busiest days I had. The location was perfect for the convention happening next door at the ExCeL, especially with the DLR (Docklands Light Railway) just a very short walk from the hotel, which took me to where the registration area was at the front of the convention center. The hotel was also walking distance to the docklands main hub of restaurants and park where people enjoyed leisurely strolls and access to the IFS Cloud Cable Car to Greenwich Peninsula.

I like big windows with unobstructed views and my room had two windows that were too small for my preference. It had clear view of the water and open skies but when I'm staying at a hotel for a week, like with this trip, it was too dark for me to just sit in the room. There were plenty of lighting available in the room but that's not as energy efficient as natural light. Regardless, it wasn't a deal breaker. I had to remember this is London and not Los Angeles, so the colder and sometimes wetter weather is a major factor in hotel design such as the indoor pool. It was substantially heated, but being enclosed, I didn't like the stuffiness of the air. Other than that, the hotel is wonderful and the website photographs are true representations of the property and amenities.

This was our 4th visit and stay at the aloft. We love the rooms, proximity to the DLR, ease of check in, pool, bar etc. We love the fact we're able to bring our 2 little four legged friends with us. This is the main reason we stay with you. Love the fact your Dog Friendly!! ❤

Sadly on this occasion we were unable to park at the Hotel which was a pain. The staff on reception were particularly unhelpful in this situation and simply said you'll have to park off-site. Fortunately the staff at the Double Tree were very helpful and showed us to a secure parking area close by. We understand it's first come first served but the staff could be a bit more sympathetic and helpful

The hotel is a new building, very nicely designed and in a great location. Not central London, but it is very easy to reach the hotel since there is a DLR station right behind the hotel, or you can use the Elizabeth line as the Custom house underground station is just a 10-min walking distance far from the hotel, so through the Elizabeth Line you can easily reach all the main points of interest. We had a really nice stay at the hotel, it's a calm location and easy to reach on the DLR or the Elizabeth line and then a short walk. Thus, it's a perfect location if you want to check out London and visit the sights to then come back at the end of the day. Despite not big, the swimming pool was very nice as well. Rooms are very clean and the bed very comfy.

The area where the hotel itself is located does not have that much, but as I wrote earlier it is very easy to reach the city centre. The lighting of the room could be improved. Finally, the sauna and the steam room were not working.

Nice and modern hotel very attractive interior large rooms, comfortable and an excellent location for fast access to Canary Wharf and central London. Car park on site as well. DLR station is a minute away.

My own complaint was that the AC in my room was not very effective and also automatically shut off after about an hour so on a warm summer evening, I had a inconvenience where the room got to warmed in the middle of night because the AC went off. Well done to the staff. However they took it seriously in the morning and they checked out and reduced. My parking cost as a gesture of goodwill which I appreciated.
