The room was very basic but still more then enough since we were only present to sleep. It was really clean and more then comfy. Personal safe, iron, watercooker,... Beds were good and extra pillows present. Poly was our sweetest guestlady, caring, loving and helpfull. So were the other staff members.. The food in the bar was good and at good price (plus 20% discount as hotel guests) Connection to downtown London was easy with DLR and took about 15 to 20 minutes. Walk to the Prince regent station was between 5 to 10 minutes. Taking an Oyster card is a great help

No breakfast but we had plenty of space in our room to enjoy our own breakfast and we had a portable cooler. We went to the local grocery shop. Tip would be a mini fridge in the room

The bed was comfortable and it wasn’t noisy. 20% off in the pub is such a great perk and there’s a good range of drinks and it has a good atmosphere. Provision of towels was appreciated and car park a useful option. Good location - 5 min walk to DLR.

I understand that the room size may vary but friends who had also booked for the same night (and booked the room at the same time) had a room that was almost twice the size of ours with extra provisions (ironing board, iron, extra chair). We wouldn’t have minded if the price was different but we paid the same amount for a much smaller room with less to offer. Our room smelled of old smoke.

Location was perfect right next to the silver works venue. Literally 5 mins walk. Value for money absolutely spot on. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean and the food they do there is really good. Very spacious room also. Staff were incredibly nice and helpful.

We stayed in room 15 which top. Hot water takes literally 10 mins to run in the shower and when it does it is scolding hot. In case the hotel see this review it maybe because your shower valve is on upside down. Might be worth swapping it over and out toilet didn’t flush very well, but it did the job and flushed everything away after a few attempts and for the price I really can’t complain and would definitely stay again.

Really good value when I booked, really close to DLR with connections to Elizabeth line and Jubilee line. Also within walking distance of London City Airport Staff friendly, room good for the price. Comfortable bed, room clean. Building very interesting with a lot of character. Room was very quiet other than airport noise which is to be expected in the area and finishes early in the evening.

Shower on the small side and took a bit of getting used to. Stairs quite steep and twisty. Walls in room quite marked and could do with a lick of paint here and there.

I stayed in Fox Connaught for a week and loved that it is a 5-minute walk from the Prince Regent train station which was quite convenient. The room was clean, the neighborhood was quiet and the staff was friendly. They also allowed me to keep my bags with them for 4 days when I had to travel to Edinburgh and Dublin. There are not too many facilities/amenities, but it is perfect for a 1- or 2-week trip to London.

If you are down in the Excel / Royal Dock area this is a great alternative to all the chain hotels. It's a lovely old (listed) brick pub with decent food, and also has tables under trees outside. Very comfortable, spacious and quiet rooms. Very nice and helpful managers and staff. Don't be discouraged by the location on the map - it's quiet - not easy to find at night but walk west from Royal Albert DLR Station along the waterfront and then cut back in. 20 min walk from Custom House in daytime, but this is less pleasant for past few months since the waterfront walk is blocked to the east of Excel. They are thinking of turning this into a boutique hotel, so quick, go before prices rise!

Nothing! The staff and managers were so nice, even on a really really busy weekend. For example they took time out from the bar to bring us fresh milk for our tea :) If you can't manage stairs there is an accessible room on the ground floor.

The location of the hotel was perfect, just a five minute walk from the Excel centre which is ideal if you're attending a convention there. The bed was so comfortable, and though I was a bit concerned because it was a pub on Open Mic Night, noise didn't disturb us at all. The rooms noise-cancellation really did the job. The breakfast options are great - a bacon sandwich with plenty of bacon and proper butter on proper bread - magic! The staff were wonderful to chat to, especially when we came back to pick up our bags. Would highly recommend.

Lovely staff, Dominik in particular was very helpful. The room was big and comfortable (room 3) and the pub food was delicious and very convenient. The location was great for the excel centre as it was very close and easy to get to. Quiet room even when the pub was busy. Overall I would say excellent value for money.

There is no lift but if you are travelling with a small suitcase or bag, I don't think it should be a problem. The bathroom was a little dated but it was clean. The TV in my room didn't seem to work but I wasn't in the room long enough to miss it.

Huge spacious room, comfortable although decor was a but tired and only 1 curtain as someone had ripped off the curtain track from 1 window but there were blinds. Room was a bit light for my preference but overall great place

There was quite a bit of noise late at night from other doors/activity but nothing excessive. Also leaving the next morning was strange as the shutter doors to the rooms were still locked and only excit seemed to be a fire door

We arrived early and asked if we could register our car, so we could go into London and pop back to check in later. We were advised our room was available so could check in straight away. It was a small but pleasant room, but the TV aerial was broken. Only mentioned to the staff member in passing, on the off chance they had a spare lead. This resulted in us being moved to a suite at no extra cost. Excellent customer service that makes all the difference. Excellent location, two minutes walk from the DLR station that leads into London. Would definitely stay here again, if we re-visited London in the future
