The bed was so comfortable and a lovely size room with lots of storage space. There was a fridge in the room, which I thought was great as my husband and myself drink a lot of water. It was very quiet to say it was a weekend stay and the bar was open till late.

When we booked, it stated that it didn't do food, I received an email from the pub with a list of eateries in the area which they would recommend, which was a great idea. When we got up on Saturday, we could smell breakfast cooking, I was disappointed that this wasn't mentioned when we checked in. Maybe something in the room to say you can order breakfast for the next morning if you want to. Pillows were very hard 😴 😫

The location is a good central point to explore areas of interest with good road connections to get around with ease. Excellent local places for eating: food was very good. The room was spacious, comfortable and in good order. Being above the pub was not an issue as there was no noise. Being allowed to get drinks to take to the room was a good bonus. The locals were very friendly. I would recommend the breakfast as it was superb and great value for money. I am planning to stay again as there were things I didn't get time to do on this trip.

I have no negative comments to make on this stay.

We loved our stay at the Dryburgh Arms. There are 3 rooms - a double room, deluxe double room and superior family room. This was perfect for us as we needed 3 rooms. The staff Leanne and Fee were so welcoming, friendly, knowledgable and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable with a large bed, very clean and had a homely feel. We could not hear the sound from the pub below at all. There was free parking at the co-op car park next door. Melrose is a beautiful area and the town is a short drive down the road with shops/cafes etc. Breakfast was amazing at the hotel! There was a huge choice for a full Scottish breakfast with all the trimmings, toast, hot drinks and also a fantastic selection for continental breakfast including cereals, fruits, yoghurts, pastries, pancakes, juices. The pub was such fun in the evenings - we had fun playing pool and singing karaoke. All of the patrons at the pub were friendly and welcoming and we all had a laugh. We would definitely stay here again.

Nothing! We loved it here and it exceeded our expectations.

Close to the A68 and easy access to larger towns of Melrose, Hawick and Kelso. The proprietor is brilliant she is so enthusiastic and caring and is developing what was a Victorian public house into a really welcoming place. The Breakfast is excellent and served in the lounge/dining room which is only open to staying guests. The night we stayed we had a take away in the bar , with the owners agreement.

There is some on street parking close by , otherwise its the car park near the Co op 7-11 store. The bar area is being brought up to scratch , it is basic at the moment , but I will be interested to visit again and see how the owner gets on.

This is a pub in a small Scottish Borders town. The reception and quality of provision inside outstripped first impressions of the outside. The lady had obviously researched how to do accommodation to a high standard and was herself tirelerssly attentive to our needs. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Abbotsford or other border attractions.

We could not pinpoint any single item that would have improved the experience.

Super friendly and accommodating staff. Made to feel so welcome. Nothing seemed like a problem. Rooms were excellent, comfortable and clean. Having a small fridge was a great addition to the room. The cooked breakfast was lovely. Very fresh and plenty to eat. Just a great base for our golf weekend. I would definitely go back there again.

The welcome is second to none. We were greeted by Leanne when we arrived who was very pleasant amd helpful. The room was very comfortable and extremley clean. The Scottish breakfast was plentiful and fresh. There is a good choice of other breakfast i.e. cereal, Yoghurt and fresh fruit salad. I visited the bar in the evening and had a chat with a few people who were again very welcoming.Cannot fault our stay

The friendly staff. We liked the decor of the room and the comfortable bed. The bar was the hub of the community. The locals were friendly and offered us useful local information. There was no food served but we were facilitated to order takeout meal of our choice to eat in the pub. A local gave us a tip to order a fantastic curry from Gala Tandoori. We took their tip to have a breakfast in the local garden centre which set us up for the next stage of our walk on The St Cuthbert Way.

Nothing of note. Obviously providing meals was not economically viable post COVID for the pub. They othered us a good solution with the carry out meal in the bar.

Big room, very comfy bed, had a quiet fridge and the curtains were excellent black out. The shower room wasn't a tiny cupboard and there was good light for shaving in the mirror too.

The WiFi code didn't work (couldn't see the router mentioned). However, I had enough phone data so didn't ask for help. I'm sure it'd of been fixed had I asked. Being super picky decaffeinated tea/coffee would have been nice, again didn't as I always bring my own.

The bedroom was enormous and nicely decorated. The bed was massive and exceptionally comfortable. En suite shower, nice with lots of hot water. The landlady in the pub below met us and said, 'it might be noisy, as the football was on" - but it wasn't! Nice cafe downstairs with a great breakfast (not part of the hotel, but very convenient!) Tea, coffee maker with pods, and fridge in the room

It's situated on a main street, the windows are not double glazed. There was some slight traffic noise but its such a quiet village its not a real bother. At kicking out time there were a few people chatting on the street, again only a slight irritation. These are the most minor points, on an otherwise excellent stay..
