Great room, perfect for our 2 night stay. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The bar area has a great atmosphere, lovely little beer garden at the back too. The food in the restaurant was lovely! We couldn’t fault the place. We would 100% stay here again.

Not that I didn’t like the continental breakfast as there was a good spread, but a cooked breakfast option would be great. Cooked breakfast would have made this a 10/10 for us.

Stylish, modern, clean room in property located close to promenade. The bed was very comfortable. Access to the room was via a side entrance so no need to go through the pub. Truly dog friendly accommodation.

Noise from the music in the pub below until 12 at night and reveller’s noise outside until later. The accommodation had original sash windows which were lovely but didn’t cut out noise. The serve yourself “continental” breakfast was basic.

Continental breakfast, plenty of choice, staff very informative and friendly. The room was large with tea making facilities, complimentary biscuits.Large bathroom with double sized shower, complimentary shower gel etc. Room clean, bed linen good quality.Ideal for beach with plenty to do things just a short drive away. Would definitely go again, street parking for free, public car park which charges. Some shops nearby, plenty of pubs and eating places catering for most tastes. Visited out of season would like to go back when weather warmer to appreciate the coastal areas more.

The only downside to the hotel was the stairs to the rooms, not ideal if you're elderly or have mobility issues,

great location. no parking on site but there were 2 car parks 2 mins away. the room was large, & spotlessly clean, adequately furnished, had hairdryer & nice toiletries, v comfortable bed. friendly staff.

it was continental breakfast.. in the heat, the milk, yoghurt, cheese etc could have been either placed in a fridge in dining room, or on ice. the coffee could’ve been warmer.

Location was great for us , close to Ashington for the Wansbeck general hospital. Free close by parking (off road ) . A stones throw from the beach and promenade. Easy check in . Lovely modern decor . Our room ( 4 ) was super spacious, modern and clean . The bathroom was great , bath with shower which was fab . Lovely towels provided too . Good quality tea coffee and biscuits and long life milk that didnt taste yukky . The bed was sooooooo comfortable. Breakfast was really nice , continental style , more than enough to choose from, cereals , toast , ham , cheese , yogurt, fruit , pastries , fresh juice . Staff were lovely .

Door to bar area slammed shut which could be felt and heard from our room . A soft close door would be worth fitting

A very nice newly refurbished B&B located in Newbiggin-In-The-Sea. I only stayed for one night as I was working in the area but I will be back again next year if possible. Rooms are located around the back of the attached pub/ bar and have been refurbished very well indeed. Also quite handy being so close to the sea front/ beach and meant I could have a lovely evening walk and fish & chips whilst I was there.

Only disappointment really was the breakfast. Cereal out of date, stale bread etc etc, you get the idea. But other than that, no complaints !

Lovely room, clean, good location, staff was warm and the pub was nice. Also, very good shower and toiletries 😊

Breakfast was meh coffee was lukewarm, it’s just a continental breakfast which I don’t mind but everything was a bit subpar in terms of breakfast. Not a massive problem. The pub also gets fairly loud even in a Sunday and seemed to stay open past midnight, I didn’t mind at all as I can sleep through anything but some may struggle with that.

The location was perfect a sleepy town right next to unspoilt sea lovely little shops good places to eat or take away food. Every single person we met in and around the Queens Head was so helpful. Monday & Tuesday the pub restaurant is closed but they said we could get a takeaway and bring it back to the bar to eat. Perfect modern room comfy bed superb bathroom. A gem of a place and if we are that way again we would book again. Highly recommended.

Friendly staff, lovely spacious and modern room and delicious evening meals with many choices. The rooms have a separate entry from the pub itself so quite private. Great continental breakfast- with good gluten free options, which is a must for me as I have coeliac disease - and I took a toaster bag so I could also have toast. Good value for money and just a short walk to the beach. 😊

The only downside was the noise from the bar, right below our room. Not so much the usual noise you’d expect in such a location but there was a door downstairs constantly banging loudly and shaking the room until the early hours. A room not directly above the bar entrance may have been quieter.

Newbiggin by the Sea is a very small town on the east coast of England just north of Newcastle upon Tyne. It was quiet and a great stopover between York and Edinburgh. it’s near Durban with a very nice cathedral that only asks for a donation to enter (unlike the ridiculously high entry fee in York). Just a really nice place to stay. Restaurant also had great choices.

Nothing, really. Not luxurious but very comfortable and reasonable costs.
