The building is nice, good location and clean. The breakfast was also very good and the staff were friendly. I've stayed here on a number of occasions and never had a problem. The food is also very good.

The price is very steep. £140 a night for a double bed and breakfast, WOW.

Our room was fabulous, food although plentiful was not exactly to my taste. Breakfast was great though.

Luckily didn't need the room safe. But even if you had full mobility it was in a very awkward place! Bathroom shower would be further enhanced with a "hold facility" for those of us with mobility isues. But still managed ok.as room was massive the tv could have been a little bigger. Being picky but honestly being recently not so mobile I am seeing things from a different perspective. All in all a great hotel.

It was fab from the moment we walked in! What a lovely hotel and all the staff we came across were so friendly and accommodating. We had a really lovely room overlooking the Staithes. It was so big and comfortable with a huge bed! We ate there the first night and the food was really nice and plentiful. Had breakfast the second morning and again it was very nice.

One little niggle, we came down to breakfast about 9.20am and a lot of things had gone with no hint of replenishing them! The lady even said we stop at 9.30am!? So a tad disappointing.

Balcony room with a sea view - perfect! We actually live, (as the Crow flies), 273m away from the room we stayed in. It was as if we could have been ANYWHERE! Came in handy when we had to nip home to pick up a couple of items we'd forgot!!! It was our Wedding night (we're both in our 50's), so our houses were full of visiting relatives, and we wanted a nice quiet night with a perfect view. We got that, and then some! We've both been to the Commissioners Quay Inn many times, and as always ALL the staff there are absolutely brilliant, don't know how they do it! If you've ever worked with "the public" (I have), you'll know what I mean. ;)

Nothing! Ooh, hang on, 2 sausages with breakfast please. ;) That's it!

Friendly helpful staff, good breakfasts, great deals on drinks and the option to decline room servicing in exchange for a drink - an excellent idea to reduce the waste of bin liners, laundered towels etc that is not needed.

The fire alarm in the night of Sunday 23rd was disruptive, but not your fault, I hope that vapeing guest gets banned from hotels. I really didn’t think much of the room safe being on the floor, it rendered it unusable. Very poor planning and discriminatory for disabled or older guests like us.

The hotel and staff were very friendly and hospitable, the food was excellent and the drinks not so overpriced, the rooms are huge and the beds massive, the room was clean and well stocked the shower room was excellent and the shower powerful and hot , we were a group of 6 family members having 3 rooms and 5 dogs between us and the staff really shined plenty of treats and water bowls for the dogs , thank you .

The only down side and this is only personal preference was even though the bed was huge the mattress wasn't one we'd have chosen, but that's only from a personal preference.

Nice hotel,good pub,nice food,good atmosphere,freindly staff,very nice room.

The only qualm I've got with room was tv,I couldn't connect my firestick as it was connected to wall and TV was controlled via black free view box with separate remote than the TV originally came with so was stuck with crappy TV channels, the surrounding areas were OK but shopping areas being knocked down for future rebuild improvements so couple years down the line the area will be much improved.

Staff Cleanliness AS usual Still brilliant despite our dissatisfaction at breakfast

There is a very serious problem re getting ones breakfast in a reasonable time On the 3 occasions we had breakfast we waited twixt 25 and 35 mins . I know the end to lockdown will maybe sort things out. We are expected to sit down and be waited on for everything but at breakfast one likes to get ones own tea coffee toast cereal and have the hot food served a little later. We love your hotel (pricey though it is)and one can only hope when restrictions allow you go back to how it should be. We realise buffet breakfasts are unrealistic any more .

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast choice was good and the food was well cooked and presented. The bar area was well designed clean and bright.

There was one major drawback for me personally as a light sleeper. The power to the room was controlled by the door key card and the design of the bathroom extraction fan meant that the fan stayed on all the time the power was on. Therefore we took the card out of the holder before going to bed to stop the noise. Unfortunately it was evident other people did not take their card out at night and the sound rattled around the roof space causing a significant disturbance. So two points 1. the noise was disturbing and 2. with power increasing in price it would seem a good saving to put individual timed fans in the room . I have to say the staff were very sympathetic as they are aware of the problem but there was nothing they could do.
