From the second we arrived we were met with the most amazing member of staff, her name was Annabel. She made us feel so welcome. She actually turned a bad day into a great day for us and can not thank her enough. Throughout our stay we met several members of staff who were all just as great. James the waiter was happy to point out all the local attractions and couldn't do enough for us. I must also mention the food, my wife and I had the two course evening meal which was one of the best meals we have eaten. Breakfast was amazing and filled us for the day. I want to thank everyone at the hotel for making our stay so memorable. We will be back

Very beautiful hotel in a stunning location. Our room was large and well equipped. The beds and linen are top quality and we had a brilliant nights sleep. All staff are friendly, warm and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and very good quality. We came as 2 adults and a 9 year old boy and all had a fantastic stay. We will absolutely be returning.

A few tiny tweaks / pieces of advice if we were being picky. - when checking-in the lady said that breakfast is 7.30-9.30 and to try and get down sooner rather than later? - Our door (room 6) didn’t lock. We had to leave it unlocked as we couldn’t get the key to turn - Smokey smell coming from kitchen throughout breakfast - didn’t feel very well ventilated - Cleaners hoovering outside of the breakfast room - could this wait until after 9.45? - A little more information on the history of the building would be nice

Staff were amazing, great value deal, beautiful setting and some great food. Bed super comfy.

It was dark when we arrived and the entrance was poorly lit not much light outside, we managed but I have friends with visual impairments who would really struggle. Only gripe with our room, when the heating came on it was really noisy, didn't realise it was linked till I turned the radiators off and the noise stopped.

The house was a gem, and has great features. The family run place has great staff and made our stay a pleasure. The grounds are large and mostly natural with some areas starting to be made into formal gardens. Watch out for the geese and droppings nearby the lake though. If you engage with the staff, they are a delight, but they also give you space if you are not a great talker :-) We hope the great ideas they have (we had a wonderful chat about what their hopes for the estate are)come to fruition, as they are ambitious but commendable.

Nothing we didn't like, but they could make more of the activities around them.

Nice large rooms, useful selection of furniture, good views from room, good breakfasts, nice setting, good location and historic building. Staff were polite.

Lack of information in room, our room was not serviced until day 5 out of six. We were unaware that the cleaner was relying on us leaving our key at receptions for them to access the room until a chance meeting. There were some relatively minor maintenance issues with curtains and bath tap (reported but not fixed). We were on the 2nd floor which involved 52 steps due to the high ceilings of the building - probably good exercise but a bit like hard work.

as we drove up the long approach drive I was concerned that the hall might turn out to be not very warm, but as soon as we went in my fears were allayed by the warmth of the room and of the reception. This really is a rather grand building. The hallway, stairs, dining room and lounge are quite ' Downton Abbey'. Dinner and breakfast were excellent, the dinner menu was fairly limited but I would expect that on a quiet February evening. Service was excellent. The one and only complaint I have is about the noise from the heating system in our room, N0.1. This was so bad that we had to move rooms to sleep, and in fairness I should say that we were given a 50% repayment of the room cost. On balance My advice is to avoid room 1, but that apart you will enjoy this establishment

Netley Hall is a beautiful old country house with gorgeous views in a tranquil location, close enough to Shrewsbury for convenience and far enough for peace and quiet. We stayed in a one bedroom bungalow which was spacious and clean. Full kitchen, comfortable lounge and bedroom, large bathroom with a corner bath. Breakfast is served in the main house, which is serve yourself full breakfast , very good quality with an assortment of cereals, pastries, yoghurt etc. perfect for starting the day. Spacious car parks and lovely gardens.

This is only a nit-pick and didn’t deter from our stay….the cottage could be more homely, pictures, lamps in the lounge etc, but it certainly didn’t take anything away from a very relaxing stay.

We loved the building, our room was grand and the bathroom large and it was so relaxing. The grounds are beautiful. The pergolas are lovely. Our evening meal was gorgeous. The restaurant & bar staff were so helpful.

Unfortunately, the driveway needs some attention. The pot holes need to be filled with stones regularly. We had eaten well the night before thankfully, as our breakfast wasn’t what we were expecting-it was luke warm, although the sausages & bacon were good quality. There was only beans & tomatoes to accompany them. There was no bread for toast- we had to ask. Perhaps this was because we were the last sitting.

Beautiful hotel in a stunning setting. We got married here so it was so lovely to be back. We stayed in the Atrium which was a beautiful room. Staff were kind and helpful and the place is really clean.

We had a huge room which was stunning but the bed was only a standard double- there was more than enough space for a larger bed. Upgrading the quality of the toiletries, the snooker cues, and the toilet paper in the GF bathrooms are small things that would make a big difference. Restaurant is definitely not as good as it used to be when it was fine dining but it was still nice :)

A very quiet, family run, very comfortable and lovely hotel. Not posh but huge old fashioned comfortable rooms with everything I needed and all very well placed for comfort and ease. A huge walk in dressing room. Big windows looking over garden. Lovely thick curtains. Such nice staff who could not have done more to make me welcome and look after me. Dinner menu was limited but what I had was really delicious and beautifully cooked. (Salmon). Excellent wine. Breakfast good. And an added bonus was some live music in the bar - nice local acoustic and singing. Fab huge grounds - wonderful for walking, lakes and bird spotting. Very peaceful and relaxing stay.

I would have liked a bath in my bathroom. Plenty of room for it.
