Mynd House

We stayed at Mynd House for a wedding in the area and had a lovely time! When we arrived Liz was very friendly and recommended a few really lovely pubs down the road for dinner. She also helped us with some local taxi numbers for transport to the venue. The room was spacious and completely spotless, we particularly appreciated the bath and I loved the dressing table for getting ready. Everything we could possibly need was provided, including dressing gowns which was a nice touch. It was also very calm and peaceful. The highlight for us was definitely breakfast! Plenty of veggie options, portions were generous and everything was super delicious, you can tell they've really gone to the effort of sourcing local, high quality ingredients. I wish I'd remembered to buy some of their homemade jam before we left! Overall we had a perfect stay and we're already hoping for a reason to come back to the area :)

Nothing, it was great!

This was our first visit to Shropshire and my husband and I liked the reviews given about this property. When we arrived (despite being late) out host greeted us and gave us information about our room and ensured that our check-in was smooth and even advised us of where we could go to get our evening meal. The room where we stayed was fantastic. The bathroom was spotless no sign of mould (as we have experienced with other places), the towels and bathrobes were lovely and soft and our bed was super comfortable. We had a lovely views of the famous hills and the location is so quiet and peaceful. The photos just doesn't do it justice. The Breakfast are simply divine with all the food being locally sourced you could taste the quality. All jams and preserves are also home made. There simply aren't enough superlatives to describe our experience. Suffice to say we cannot wait to go back. Liz and Jeff are terrific hosts.

There are no negatives. The location has endless opportunities to visit the village, pubs go for walks. If there is a downside it's that more time is needed to see everything.

Great location, friendly helpful owners and staff. The room we had was (Hazler) was superb, with a bedroom, bathroom and small lounge area with armchairs and a TV. The property is spotlessly clean and provides an excellent and very tasty breakfast with several options. The owners are clearly experienced and have thought through all aspects of the accommodation, including an environmental policy and reducing impact on the local environment, which was good to see.

Absolutely nothing

The room was spacious and clean, excellent attention to the 'little things' - biscuits, bottle of fresh milk in fridge, eco friendly toiletries. Excellent breakfast menu with all produce sourced from local suppliers. The hosts informed us in advance, about parking and also where we could book to eat for evening meals. We felt welcome and nurtured. The 'honesty' bar was also a very helpful facility. Health and safety very well addressed.

Great service and delicious breakfasts. Lots of breakfast choice. Liz and all the staff were friendly and helpful. It was good to have some leaflets given to us about what to do whilst we were staying. Our room was a cosy suite and this suited us perfectly as we stayed for a week. It was bright and clean. It was refreshed everyday. The two local pubs served really good food.

We were happy with everything about our stay and cannot think of anything that could be better.

We loved the room - very comfortable, spotless and appealing. We received a warm welcome. Liked the lounge, bar area and outdoor space - just wish we had more time to make full use of the facilities. The breakfast was good. The location was excellent for exploring the local walks in the area. Would definitely recommend and would happily stay again.

Perhaps a little more choice at breakfast?

This is a lovely B & B with very comfortable and large rooms. A very good Breakfast is freshly cooked to order using locally sourced produce. Our room (Lawley) had quality linens on a huge bed, plenty of drawers and wardrobe space, and fresh milk was supplied daily in a mini fridge. There was a sitting area with a settee and TV. There were nice views from the room.

The only negative about our stay was the noise from the trains and road, which was quite loud when the windows were open. When the windows are closed it isn’t an issue.

We stayed for two nights in a Large Double Room with Private Bathroom as opposed to the regular double room and it was well worth it. The room and the bed were huge and very comfy and the added touch of complimentary fluffy dressing gowns was much appreciated. Breakfast was good too and with 2 pubs within easy walking distance for evening meals we were very happy with our choice.

Breakfast options were plentiful and would meet most dietary needs. Locally sourced items as well as environmentally considerate. The location is a short distance off a main "A" road so traffic doesn,t really affect the area around the BnB, The hosts were wonderful, warm and inviting.

There is little I could ask for to be improved.....it would just be nit picking. I enjoyed my stay there, as brief as it was and given a chance I'd stay there again.

The vegan breakfast was lovely, which was nice to see in a little village. The staff were friendly and helpful and the views near by were stunning! The room was clean and large with free tea and coffee and robes.

We don't drive, so had a little trouble getting around on Sunday as there was no bus. But its still a perfectly walkable distance to plenty of things and of course that's not the fault of the hotel at all. The manager was super helpful in trying to help us travel around.
