Yardley Manor Hotel

Great stay good location friendly staff nice comfortable room with a very good breakfast. We will happily return.

It rained when we arrived so there is a good American themed restaurant just down the road which does great ribs and steaks. We then went bowling almost opposite. Hotel is well located for the marina and shops.

Good value for money, on site bar was great. Probably better than alot of bars in town. The entertainment was in the afternoon/early evening so didn't disturb night sleeping. Steve the owner was helpful and informative, bar staff in the on site basement Griffin Bar were excellent too. Nearby to the Museum and bus stop yards away. Restaurants and bars a short walk away.

Steep hill when walking back. Swimming pool wasn't easily accessible due to ongoing work so decided not to use it but not a problem as prefer swimming in the sea. Other than these minor issues , nothing else was a problem.

I had an amazing stay here. The room was perfect for my needs with good facilities and a kettle. I especially enjoyed the Bar and the selection of drinks here, it was suitably placed near the good spots of Torquay for me to explore and most of all the price was reasonable. Also friendly owners who were especially good to chat to. Will happily return!

The parking area is a little tight but that didn't make it bad it's just the layout of the building and that made it a little challenging to park (theres worse, try parking in York!!). But at least it has its own parking area for guests as I struggled to find parking elsewhere in Torquay. So only a minor issue!

The breakfast people were lovely, it was quick and easy to check in and the gentleman who checked us in was very pleasant and allowed us a later check in, there was adequate parking and there was a bus stop near the hotel. Also it was quite clean.

We were not shown to our room or where the nearest fire exits were, some of the furniture was broken, the bed was not comfortable as it had a massive dip on one side, the shower temperature would vary depending on if someone else in the hotel was using the water and the door lock sometimes took a few tries to work, also there was no lift and we were on the top floor so we had to carry our cases up the stairs.

The bedroom was clean, everything we needed was in there, the bed was comfortable bedding was clean the towels were really soft and fluffy and plentiful, there was even a tea towel for cups. The tea tray was ok. The breakfast was fabulous freshly cooked and worth the wait. Overall a lovely place to stay. Staff were friendly and helpful especially the lady that served breakfast.

The pool wasn’t available to use a shame as the weather was great. There could be more staff at breakfast during busy times. Information leaflets etc need up dating.

Great hotel, great location, Griffin Bar was lovely and a nice addition to have pre or post or both drinks before an evening out. Owner went out of his way when we came back to find our car had been reversed into in the carpark by another guest who didn't want to come clean, cctv footage reviewed and made available before we left. We didn't have breakfast as we tend not to rush first thing in the morning so can't comment, other than to say I'm as with everything else it would have been good.Will definitely go back.

We found the room quirky but fun, the bed was very comfortable, Breakfast was excellent, in choice and cooking. My wife had a vegetarian option and plenty of cereal and juice choices. Staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean

Room was at the top of the hotel and there is no lift. made it a bit of a trek, there are parts of the hotel which are showing wear and tear but they are doing work to it so hopefully in time it will be lovely everywhere. would be good to have a small fridge in the room, maybe an alarm clock but these are small ideas.

Spacious room with exceptionally comfortable bed and lovely views. Nice extras like a coffee machine and plentiful supplies of milk, tea and coffee.

Nothing really . It was on a fairly high hill which was great for views but would be tricky for those with mobility issues. Free parking was a plus and the downstairs lounge had a bar and daily entertainment. You need to let staff know ahead if you are veggie or vegan. The little issues we had were sorted amicably by very pleasant and obliging staff.

Steve was fantastic guy and Jackie his wife was very nice easy approachable lovely cosy place breakfast was lovely I was not sure of buying a cooked breakfast, as we ordered a continental but that was more than enough so much choice cereals toast muffins all different types of croissants and pastries fruit ham cheese egg yogurt tea coffee just so much choice so glad, I did not order a cooked breakfast as believe me you don't need one, the location is in an ideal place far enough out of town to avoid noise from the people out drinking and traffic but 2mins walk down to the harbour and pubs ,shops just excellent location the hotel has a lovely cosy warm feel to it with a quiet little cosy pub joined to it at the back could not here any noise as it's NOT a rough rowdy pub I had a nice sea view from my room was clean and tidy if you looked for dirt and wanted to find issues with the hotel I'm sure you would find it just like any place depends how fussy you are the owners Steve and Jackie Were very nice they just leave you alone but are at hand if needed ,GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY ,I can't comment on the pool as I did not use it as I did not want to use it as too busy but I'm sure if you asked the owners it would not be a problem ,FREE PARKING too not sure what else to say apart from if I wanted somewhere to stay in Torquay Yardley Manor would certainly be a place to think about all depends on what you want and how much money you have hope this helps .

We only stopped one night as we were attending a gig at The Foundary in Torquay however we had no issues. We were warmly greeted by a lovely gentleman when we arrived, the room was nicely decorated and a fair size and breakfast in the morning was exceptional. Good location for a wander round the see front and just down the road from the venue we were attending. Perfect
