The Heritage Hotel

Excellent views of Torbay from the room, with good quality food and on-site facilities. Would definitely stay here again in the future. This was my first solo trip for 5 years and was definitely a great way to get back into travelling in the UK. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. On departure, I had to ask the manager to help me move my car due to another guest parking inconsiderately, and the manager who was on duty was more than happy to assist.

The only thing I didn't like was the lack of plug sockets next to the bed. The only sockets were at the opposite end of the room to the bed.

The location was spot on for either going into torquay or local buses to surrou sing areas. Room was immaculate very spacious beds were very comfy, Could have done with more towel changes. Overall friendly staff.

We were abit dissapointed with prices and selection of meals. Would have been nice to have had baked potato fillings or even sandwiches as a variety in the menu. We had eaten there since our first day and meals had been good but on third day we ordered hunters chicken it was the worst we had had so.i complained. I was left extremely unhappy with the response of the chef and were not offered refund or another meal. We hadn't eaten much that day either so were left quite hungry. The deputy manager did offer us complimentary drinks but I refused as it was the principal of the matter.

The location is perfect so close to shops, bars, and restaurants, and to have its own bar was great. The view was amazing. I loved looking out to the sea every day. The staff were lovely

A little dated. The floors are very creaky. The information folder was falling apart, and the remote had no back to it. The sealant around the outside of the shower was filthy. They didn't have the gym, but they're still advertising that they do so My partner was disappointed. Cleaners came in every day to make the bed and gave us clean cups but left our empty dirty glasses and left us with our dirty spoons from the night before. They removed the empty pint glass from the bathroom but left the dirty ring it left. So attention to detail was missing. Didn't even get asked at checkout if we enjoyed our stay.

The staff were very friendly, poached eggs for breakfast were the best I've had for many years in hotels and B&Bs, bedrooms were good with plenty of room and a well-stocked courtesy tray, lovely outdoor pub terrace. All in all, very good value, especially for a single person. I picked this hotel because it was very close to the Princess Theatre which was no more than a 10 minute walk away

I was in a ground floor room looking over the car park and I had to keep the curtains shut because there were no nets. Someone used a shower and the motor (?) was very loud

We liked the bar area, overlooking the bay in the conservatory, nice atmosphere as well with good music. The chili con-carne was delicious followed by a nice easy walk around the harboyr. The location was very good and the room was large with everything we needed.

The TV is too small for the large room- it should be on the wall instead of standing in front if the mirrir on the dressing table. The lead on the hairdryer is too short to use properly. The double bed could fo with being a kingsize as there is enough space for one in the room we stayed in.

A great cooked breakfast, good Seaview lovely terrace all lit up at night lovely sea views in the conservatory while eating. Nice evening meals. Made to feel very welcome frirendly staff.

Lift broken so had to bump cases up to my room on the second floor, the room was chilly no heating on so it was cold in the evening and first thing in the morning. The showers kept going cold as they were not electric showers and everyone was using them my sisters shower did not drain away properly, and mattresses on bed were a bit hard..

I received such a lovely warm welcome as I arrived. The room, while not having a view, was huge and very comfortable with a large ensuite and I had access to a rear door so that I could go out and explore Torquay easily. Breakfast was at a set time which worked well and was delicious with cheerful staff serving. The car park was large and I was able to leave my car there for a bit after checking out so that I could explore more of the beautiful resort of Torquay before I left.

The room was on the ground floor with a path outside the window which compromised privacy a little and the TV reception could have been better, I think the aerial cable needed replacing.

Fantastic view of the seafront. Amazingly spacious rooms. Really comfy beds and loved having a little seating area within the room. Very friendly staff, helpful and informative.

The ceiling in the room had damp patches. They looked old, not fresh. So just a lick of paint to make it tider would've been great. Personal taste - was not keen on the breakfast (order a full English) When we went to bed at 11pm, music started in the pub downstairs. There had been no noise up until that point. Luckily, we were very tired from a day of walking around, so we were able to fall asleep despite it.

Room was a very good size with a great view of the sea. The bed was very comfortable, superb support and plenty of pillows. Lots of clothes storage and good supply of coffee replenished daily. Food was exceptional with plenty of flavour though portions a little too generous for me.

Whilst the room was clean it was a little tired with staining on the carpet, the shower cubicle grouting needing attention and corners on shower door needing a deep clean. It would also be helpful to have hooks or small shelf in shower and hooks on bathroom door.

lounge 6m x 4m. hot and cold water pressure excelent. excelent view of torquay beach and prom. free parking, overflow within 40m (paid long stay). 'Rock Walk' opposite Hotel entrance, do not miss it. Torquay beach 100m over a footbridge avoiding traffic. 10 minute walk to harbour and town center. Plenty of room inside and out. Breakfirst choice should cater for 99% of people. Would have extended my stay but they were fully booked. great place to stay if you want to enjoy visiting Dartmouth, Totness, etc; etc;

Elecrical extension lead. Less complicated tv in my room ( 1 ). Flexible showe head.
