Inglewood Palm Hotel, Abbey Sands Torquay

We paid £312 for myself and my 2 children in the 6 weeks holidays which is exceptional value for money , we have paid that for a campsite . Our room was big and a huge balcony which we had a sea view from . The beds were all clean and comfortable. Yes the hotel is old and in need of a face lift . We had a TV, kettle and warm showers, plenty of towels and our tea, coffee was replenished daily and the shower and toilets cleaned daily . You are a 4 minute walk from the beach with free parking and we would happily stay here again.

The room had everything in we needed. The bedding was fresh and clean, the shower hot, radiator warm and bed comfortable. Great value for money and a few minutes walk to beach or town centre. Compared to other rooms locally this cost me on average 60% less. I wasn't expecting the Ritz and I didn't get it but really enjoyed our 2 night stay.

I had read so many negative reviews I'd started to dread going however I'm not sure what other people need. When we go anywhere as long as room clean and tidy we are happy. You can nit pick and say rooms need upgrading but then the room becomes much more expensive. This hotel could be something really special if money spent on it but then it wouldn't be the excellent value for money it was.

very comfortable bed, good working bathroom with nice shower, amazing balcony sea view and was very good value for money. Got a good nights sleep every night with no noise distraction from others. good parking available and is in the perfect location to reach everything.

the decor is dated but honestly this isn’t a problem for us as it was still very lovely and comfortable and perfect for our needs.

Heating was on in 1 section of the hotel,but moved to new room.bad condition of balcony (cigarette buts and floor melting in the heat)

For that we paid was a good deal, is a lovely area. The hotel is 10 min walk to the centre. They have a car park available, even if they do not reserve, you can find parking at any time Really nice view from the balcony

Cleaning, the room had been renovated recently but were stains of paint all over the place, and dirty windows. No bar, or restaurant available

Very good location, close to the Town centre and beach.

Average standard and cleanliness. Had bath tube with shower, but you need to wait around 10min for warm water and water pressure is really low. Comfort adjusted to the price.

Very good location. Comfortable room. I was on my own in a double room would have been a little small for two people. Good size TV with subtitles. Good sized bathroom.

The towels were a little small. Lovely communal areas but unused.

I paid a budget price for the room The hotel is dated needs a good refurbishment, apart from this we got a large clean room with nice comfy beds. I didn't book a 5 star hotel and wasn't expecting anything exceptional, unlike a lot of reviews I've read. The hotel staff were very helpful and accommodating. For the price I paid I would stay here again.

One of our rooms (we had 4 booked) smelled really bad like a burst toilet pipe, the second room smelled with damp. It's a shame that bar and restaurant is no longer available, garden wasnt tidy either, cold be a really decent place to stay if those would be open, but i guess the price wouldn't be the same then.

We have had the most wonderful stay at the Inglewood. The owners are fantastic and support your every need. We can't thank them enough for their hospitality. The bad reviews are obviously expecting a lot more than the price they paid. 10/10 will stay again.
