The Blue House B&B0

Central location, friendly owner and value for money. Comfortable and spacious in the top floor family accommodation. Lovely rainfall shower ideal when set on cool in the current extreme heat. I would recommend and happily stay again.

One criticism was a loud noise from somewhere among the plumbing in the bathroom whenever taps, shower or toilet flush were used. Someone did also wake us up about 3.30am in the street outside shouting and trying to kick a door to the opposite property down but that's more a reflection on the residents the B&B appears to be located opposite to.

It's basically a house we had 2 rooms 1 for us and 1 for the kids very nice clean rooms with decent size tvs and firesticks to watch netflix Disney+ Amazon prime so you would definatly have something to watch. We had a small fridge toaster and a microwave with tea coffee and sugar and biscuits and milk in the fridge and a bathroom with a shower to yourself a nice comfy bed just an overall great place to stop and a really friendly host called jess that will help you in anyway she can

There's nothing not to like its almost like staying at home

.Really comfortable bed. Lovely room. Very welcoming host. Although I thought shampoo and conditioner were provided. It wasn't clear on the bottles on the bath what they were..tbh I thought it was there as a decoration. I have poor eyesight and could not read the labels. Was such a shame cause i always bring my own and this was the very first time i didn't as advertised they were provided. Couldn't do my hair for a big night out. Otherwise extremely lovely stay and would recommend

Lovely family home, very welcoming host. We stayed in the family suite and we had everything we needed, lots of nice touches like milk in the mini fridge (its the little things) rooms were very cosy and comfortable and clean. Lovely shower. The location is only a 5 minute walk to town and harbour a few minutes more. Parking just around the corner in a long stay carpark. We paid £8.80 for 24 hours. We used the RingGo app to pay very easy. We found our stay at the blue house to be very pleasant.

Unfortunately the local residents do spoil the first impressions. We parked the car and saw how run down a couple of the houses are and saw a lot of undesirables hanging about. I was concerned about leaving my car but there was cctv and all was fine. There was a lot of shouting, knocking on doors (opposite house) atound 12.50 early hours but I closed the window which blocked it out and it all settled down. I think these residents are quite a problem for the area and local businesses which is a shame. It didnt spoil our trip, the blue house is great and can't be held accountable.

Amazing property. Very spacious up to date and lots of attention to detail. Jess was very friendly and the children loved there stay and that they where able to use the streaming I.e Netflix and Disney plus. Milk upon arrival in fridge ready for the much awaited cup of tea. Very homely and comfortable would certainly stay again

Could do with a dust in places I.e ledge next to toilet. Some areas dusty but all in all a very clean and modern interior

good value for money, friendly hosts, good little mini kitchen area with fridge, kettle, toaster. we booked the family room and the two rooms are totally separate which meant we could put our child to bed and then have the light on etc. Also bathroom is totally separate so no risk of waking the little one up.

the parking options aren’t great and the seagulls were very loud. it was hot when we stayed so we had the windows open so take earplugs!

Jess was great, really warm and friendly, made to feel welcome from check in right up til departure. The boys enjoyed the b and b and Torbay in general. The family room we stayed in was clean and the facilities were spot on. Catch up TV and free WiFi was definitely a bonus, which the eldest boy loved. Bathroom was exclusively for us which is great. Nice shower and very nice size. Breakfast was lovely and we all enjoyed the generous continental spread on offer

The only thing was the location. Not the b and b fault obviously. Didn't bother us that much, but some people may find it intimidating.

The price we paid to Jess for our stay at The Blue House was exceptional value for money. We had travelled to see a show at The Princess Theatre. We were 4 ladies on the top floor with our own bathroom. The beds were adequate for our one night stay with lots of little touches in the rooms and bathroom. The shower was easy to use unlike some..on and off..simple. Jess went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. She couldn’t do enough for us. Her continental breakfast ..included in the already excellent price.. was second to none. Every cereal imaginable. Lots of juices,freshly brewed coffee and an assortment of teas. Meats and cheeses complimented the jams and chutneys with croissants and fresh white or wholemeal toast. Overnight oats with granola,honey and delicious yoghurts were very well received with melon on the side. The town centre was only a few minutes walk away and the car was parked in a small public car park yards away. We would definitely stay with Jess again when we come back for another theatre and shopping trip and would recommend her. Thank you Jess 😃

We stayed at Blue House B&B for two nights end of July. The family rooms are bright, clean and spacious. We actually get the entire top floor to ourselves plus a shower room/toilet. The location was perfect to explore town centre and 10 minutes to the bay, beach, cafes and restaurants. Jessie the owner was friendly and attentive. There is a small table set up on the top floor for breakfast, Jessie even brought breakfast up to us each morning at the time agreed previously. We enjoyed our stay at Blue House B&B. Thank you.

The location was perfect, our hosts were very friendly, and the room was very comfortable. Coffee, tea and biscuits were provided which was a nice additional touch. There were also guides to visiting and exploring Torquay which was very appreciated. Finally, our stay was an excellent value for money!

The communal bathroom was lovely and I had no problem with it, but I know that some people may find this undesirable! Also with our room being close to the entrance to the B&B, the noise of people leaving and entering was quite noticeable.
