The staff are happy to help and friendly. The food is tasty. The bathrooms are great - I would say pretty newly refurbished, the bedding is laundered. There are kettles/cups etc in the room and there are miniature toiletries in the bathroom. The bedrooms have a portable fan and bedside lamps, heating in the winter. There is also a notepad and pen on the bedside table and an armchair next to the window. After check-in you are free to come and go as you please without needing staff to let you back in.

The food is a little over priced for what is received. The bedding and bathroom towels are freshly laundered but well worn. Bedding is light in colour - just a personal preference - I like hotel bedding to be white. No breakfast available but there are shops within a few minutes walk that all sell breakfast items.

The location was very convenient for an overnight stay. Good car-parking availability. We were impressed by the friendly, very helpful staff. It was great that we were able to enjoy a meal downstairs in the restaurant (excellent Indian food) before going upstairs to bed. The room was very clean, comfortable and well-equipped. As the accommodation is above the pub we accepted that it might be noisy - but it was actually very quiet.

We would stay again but would advise others . Access for us was via fire stairs. Ok for daughter and partner a bit more challenging for my husband and I There looks like ground floor accomodation may be available as some work being done in nearby area of lproperty. Would advise improve quality towels and bed linen

Booking.com suggested this alternative to a booking cancelled by a chain hotel at short notice. A modern community pub with South Asian restaurant offering street food to banquet level. Friendly atmosphere and pleasant service. Excellent access from A1(M). Used as a base to meet family in central London

Rooms are accessed by an external staircase, so accommodation is separate from the pub and quiet. However, this would not be ideal for someone with limited mobility.

Lovely property in a nice area. The staff were friendly and polite and made us feel welcome. The bar area was nice and there was a good selection of drafts, bottles and cocktails, only wish I'd tried the food as it smelled amazing. The room itself was clean and the facilities more than adequate. Would stay again.

The room was on the small side but for one night it was more than adequate. The entrance to the accommodation was round the back of the property and up some external steps. This wasn't an issue for us but could be if you have mobility difficulties.

We stayed here for a wedding which was in the local area, the room was really good value, clean and tidy There was very little traffic, we both slept well. The room had everything you would need and the added bonus of biscuits. It is just a shame that we never got the chance to taste your food as it smelt AMAZING. Every time we went to the car park it was so tempting! The staff were friendly and very helpful.

Location as to where I have to be the following morning. The rooms are always clean. Staff showing me up to my room and handling my bags going up the stairs. I have issues climbing stairs, so that is a big help for me.

The only thing for me is, no hook by the shower to hang the towel onto when getting out of the shower. Had to leave the towel on the floor ready to get out of the shower.

We were passing through on the way to an event in Surrey before a stay in London so picked the town and pub at random to save us doing a bigger drive on Saturday morning. Room was spotless and recently refurbished. Staff were pleasant, had a few drinks in the pub, usual local we did find out that this is the First Post in the Simon Pegg film Worlds End. Locals spotted we were tourists and even approached us to tell us where the local shops and takeaways were. So big thumbs up would happily stay again when we are down south.

Breakfast was not included in my stay. The staff were excellent and very accommodating. There is a bus stop across the road and plenty of onsite parking.

It was noisy until the entertainment in the bar finished at midnight, so if you want an early night it is maybe not be the place to stay. Other than that I cannot fault this facility and it is good value for money.

Free parking and clean room

The room seems to be single...small room, small double bed, only one towel in the bathroom...it was very noisy because of the terrace from downstairs ...till 1am Without conditioner in the room, I tried to open the window to have more air, but it was very very noisy!!!
