If you are heading to Stone Valley South, this can be a nice solution if you (and your back) do not like camping. The host Janice is really welcoming and friendly and I would never thank her enough for letting me check-in earlier (because of the festival). I did not have breakfast, but take note that also vegetarian options are available and the host is really helpful in welcoming your needs. Kudos to the shared bathroom, always clean and disinfected. The style of the B&B is the british house, a bit old fashioned but overall ok. WiFi works perfectly. I honestly would come back again next year.

I would put a sign outside of it, it might be a bit difficult to find it. (Take note of the red door).

The excellent landlady (Janice? I have a terrible memory for names. Sorry) was welcoming and helpful and was apologetic that the bathroom on my floor was temporarily out of action. The premises in general showed signs of wear and tear but the overall feel was of a homely shabbiness that I rather liked. It’s not some soulless, sterile identikit hotel, it’s a guest house of the old school, and perfectly charming in its way. Not the poshest place you’ll ever stay, but excellent value and with friendly accommodating staff.

The first floor bathroom could be fully useable. But then it’s probably fixed by now, so I imagine that’s sorted already.

Janice and her brother Donald, our delightful hosts at the bed and breakfast, truly went above and beyond to ensure my stay was exceptional. Their warm hospitality and genuine friendliness instantly made me feel like part of their extended family. I was particularly impressed by their attentiveness and flexibility in catering to my dietary needs, making me feel completely at ease. The house itself was an absolute gem, showcasing its timeless beauty and impeccable upkeep. As I stepped into this magnificent property, over a century old, I couldn't help but admire the care taken to preserve its original features. Witnessing such dedication to maintaining its unique charm was a true delight. Kingsway Bed and Breakfast exceeded my expectations in every way. Their genuine warmth, combined with the stunning character of the house, created an unforgettable experience that made me feel right at home. We wholeheartedly recommend this exceptional establishment to anyone seeking a remarkable and welcoming place to stay.

Breakfast was a typical cooked breakfast, although no offer of cereals or fruit if cooked breakfast not your thing. Location was very useful to get into London, although because it's single glazed and on a main road inevitably had traffic noise. It was a hot night so the choice was between closing windows to reduce the sound or having a hot room. However bedroom was very large with a sink in it.

We've been there for 10 days and felt like home . Great english breakfast, lovely landlady, very helpful. After one day we got bigger more comfortable room without any extra charge. Rooms in good condition, clean bedding and towels, kettle, tea and coffee. Shared bathroom cleaned regularly. Nice place at good value to stay while working in the area.

Little bit outdated interiors. Need some restoration. but clean and comfortable

Lovely, Victorian-styled house! We stayed in the very large family room - beds are comfy with very warm duvets. Room and bathroom are super clean and the house always smells beautiful. Location is great- a 10 minute walk to and from the station; just down the road to lots of restaurants (we walked to a delicious Chinese restaurant and the best fish and chip shop); and a £5 Uber to Paradise Wildlife Park. Janice is the nicest person you’ll ever meet - she catered our breakfast to our dietary requirements (vegetarian) and the time based on our plans for the day. She always made sure we had tea/coffee/towels in our room and soap/shower gel/shampoo in the bathroom.

Janice is a truly lovely, kind, caring, friendly & warm person who made me feel so welcome in her comfortable home. Janice knew I was out walking by the river on a cold night & when I returned my bedroom curtains were closed & the heating was on. Such a wonderful kind gesture to unexpectedly come back to. Really made me smile & feel so happy, kindness is key. I would highly recommend everybody to stay there, even if it's just for the delicious home cooked full English breakfast. I would definitely stay there again :-)

Kingsway B&B made for a great stopover location on my walk to London. The accommodation was perfect for my needs, and Janice was a great host. The only downside was that I couldn't take her up on all the options that she offered for my cooked breakfast, as I didn't want to be walking on a full stomach. I'm sure that she would have filled me all the way up if I'd let her though!

The host is keeping the place clean and makes sure that the guests are feeling safe and know how everything works, all while giving them privacy. A good place for a short stay close to London, at a reasonable price.

The location is of course not perfect to visit London, but there is actually convenient transportation.

Janice was a great host and the location was ideal - walking distance to shops and restaurants. Bedroom very comfortable.

Only downside was in my room only one of the ceiling spotlights worked so the lighting wasn't great (there was a bedside lamp though). Also (and this is just a design oddity) the lightswitch for the room was outside my door.
