Hotel Napa Valley, Ascend Hotel Collection

The check-in process was easy, with very clear instructions for the keyless entry to both the property and our rooms. The upgraded rooms were both comfortable and cozy, with a gas fireplace and nice seating area. The bathroom was huge, with a standalone soaking tub. Breakfast was delicious, with a good variety for our three night stay. Our host Runie was very helpful and pointed out the amenities in the common area, which included an extensive all day coffee station and common room fireplace. The location was excellent, just a quick walk to downtown Napa's shops and restaurants.

Location great for walking into Napa centre and doing wine tasting. Well kept, traditional property. big spacious rooms, good parking, easy to find.

The check-in procedure is not adapted to travellers from abroad. Send the email with instructions 24hrs in advance, not lots of texts on the day of travelling when people want to relax and may not have network/wifi connection! Also, the cafetière is a nice touch however water provided simply not hot enough to brew the coffee grains, we couldn’t enjoy a coffee in bed unfortunately.

Breakfast was wonderful - Dolly was super nice and helpful. If you love old, historical buildings this is a great choice. Also, this is a very good location just a short few minute walk to everything in downtown Napa.

We were choosing between $750-800 / night Andaz and Archer central Napa and this BNB / hotel for $500-540/night. This is certainly less "luxurious" vs. those options, but is very nice and a great option if you like/appreciate the historical charm.

All. Runey(sp?), the hotel host, was exceptional. Greatly friendly, and helpful. Very comfortable room and surroundings. Very nice breakfasts, coffee offered in the lobby, beautiful, peaceful sitting rooms and easy walking distance to downtown Napa . HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend.

Our room might have been a little small, but just depends on what room you choose. The host did show us other rooms which looked very nice and were more spacious . Our room had a European feel, in that it was a little smaller, but we did not send a lot of time there. Overall, NOTHING to complain about

The size of the room was very unexpected! We couldn't believe how large it was and the bathroom was even more spacious and nice! The large bathtub is a dream!!! The breakfast was really good too! We only had it one day because we had plans the other two but it was super good and we loved the individual french press in the lobby. It was great to come back to the hotel after wine tasting to some coffee. And not to mention, mini french press, so cute! Last but not least, the location!!! Its perfect, a very very short walk to downtown. Its also close to the freeway to get to wineries. Its just perfect!

The window was cracked in our room. It definitely needs to be replaced and we meant to mention it but we forgot. Also, the AC isn't super powerful. We were fine because it wasn't overly hot out but we did feel a tad warm in the middle of the night and the fan makes a lot of noise so you have to balance with being cool or it being nosey.

Good breakfast. The room was clean and functional. Location was good and able to walk to various nearby attractions. The check in was sent by email, with the various codes required.

The breakfast was in the basement and the head height was restrictive as my husband is 2m tall, so bumped his head a few times. Some guests returned in the early hours and were not quiet, disturbing light sleepers.

We chose this hotel because of it's location and antique charm. Our room was exactly as described on the website: a smallish room w/ king bed, fireplace and spa tub. The breakfast room downstairs was comfortable and attractive, the delicious breakfasts included fresh fruit, a warm muffin and a different hot entree daily - things like French toast, egg & spinach soufflé, or a tasty baked egg and veg casserole. The hotel location was perfect both for walking into town and for access to driving routes up and down the valley and west to the beaches. The Innkeeper was very personable and responsive to guests' needs. Coffee and light snacks were available in the lobby all day. Parking was great.

The hotel is located in a Victorian home neighborhood in the upscale town of Napa. the room had a fire place and a large bathroom. The heat from the fireplace was cozy and warm. The room is in a Victorian design - wood floors, furniture etc And it is pet friendly (brought our Yorkie with us) we stayed there at Christmas and the entire property was decorated … it was special. The hotel manager was friendly and always was there for us if we needed something… give this place 5 stars

Dolly is friendly and helpful. She made us feel at home during our stay. The rooms were clean and well equipped, and getting in was convenient. The common areas are nice and well stocked too.

The room is a little small, but there is still enough space for all our items.

Excellent location. Very charming. Rooms were beautiful. Breakfast every morning in a very quaint “wine cellar”.

While I enjoyed having breakfast on-site was actually surprised there wasn’t a no meat option available. Two out of three mornings, the breakfast featured sausage. I would have thought a small number of plates would have been available for those of us who don’t eat meat. That was disappointing. Or ask ahead of our stay and anticipate there will be guests who don’t eat meat.
