Our first Bed & Breakfast, and I couldn’t recommend it more! The Inn on First was a 10 out of 10. First, our location was perfect -just a few short minutes and you were in the heart of town. Next, the room was just so cozy and had so many amenities- great value! We had a fireplace and Jacuzzi tub all to ourselves. Lastly, the hosts were fantastic! Breakfast was always delicious and prepped your stomach for a long day of drinking wine. They even gave you a little bottle of wine to welcome you to your stay, and there’s a big outdoor patio for you to enjoy your drinks outside or by the outdoor fire pit. We cannot wait to come back! Thank you for a great stay!

The breakfast was absolutely amazing. The fanciest breakfast I have ever had. The location in downtown Napa was perfect. Not on a very busy street, but yet in a historical neighborhood, and everything within a 5 minute drive away.

The service of the hotel staff, the chef, the property manager were exceptional as well as the room itself. The price of the room was a great deal during the holidays, and it was great to see the holiday lights up in old historic Napa. I highly recommend this hotel!!!

Our stay at the Inn on First was wonderful! I was in Napa for a conference, with my partner joining me partway through my stay, and Jim and Jamie were very kind and accommodating! They ensured I had breakfast when I needed to leave early before they served (and their meals were FANTASTIC!), and were extremely pleasant in all their on top of that. The home and grounds were beautiful, and it was a great pleasure to stay there. They had plenty of guidance and recommendations for places to explore in and around the area, and simply were a joy to talk to. Would highly recommend the Inn on First to all, and would happily stay there again! Hopefully with a less regimented schedule so I can enjoy breakfasts in the dining room at a more relaxed pace! Cheers to you Jamie and Jim for such a pleasant time, and I hope you both are well!

Not much, things really were quite great.

The Inn was wonderful. It was within easy walking distance of downtown, in a lovely neighborhood and had easy, off street parking. We enjoyed sitting in the beautifully maintained courtyard, by the fire pit with a glass of wine and friends. Jamie and Jim were very accommodating, checking in with us, making restaurant recommendations and just visiting. The breakfast, which we only got to enjoy one day because we had early morning commitments, was delicious. Jamie made us a to go breakfast on our last day, which was above and beyond. Our room was spotless, comfortable and quiet.

Just wish we could have altered plans so we could enjoy the delicious breakfast each morning. If you go, plan for a relaxing morning rather than rushing off somewhere. It's worth it.

Attractive property in a pleasant area very handy for downtown.managed with extreme attention to detail. Stylish communal areas downstairs. Lovely spacious bedroom with lots of light.Excellent bed with good linen. Decent bedside lights. Large bathroom with 2 washbasins. Good quality toiletries. Dressing gowns. Coffee maker. Our own balcony- sadly not weather to take full advantage. Lovely outside seating area ( what a pity weather not great) Substantial breakfast and decent coffee.

Rather a lot of paperwork when we booked 5 months earlier. Would have preferred this just before departure. Arrival arrangements sounded complicated but in fact entry easy and efficient.

The Inn on First is a beautifully maintained, well-appointed Inn just a few minutes from downtown Napa. Tremendous communication before the trip. The rooms are clean, spacious and incredibly comfortable. The owners and our hosts, Jamie and Jim, were exceptional! With all of the wineries and restaurants to choose from, their recommendations turned out to be some of our favorites! The breakfast each morning was amazing! Seven of us made this trip, and all of us agree that our stay at The Inn on First was exceptional, and we will absolutely return here on our next visit!

Breakfast was a delight! We enjoyed waking up each morning to discover what was prepared that day. The sweet staff were so accomidating and the breakfast selections (and desserts waiting on us) were all homemade and so delicious! The inn was located in a great location and was a short walk into downtown. Our room was cozy and clean. Couldn't imagine a better selection for my husband and I on a romantic weekend. We hope to be back!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was beautifully presented and creative. I enjoy the idea of a side salad and offering dressing on the side would be a very nice option as it was sweet. Location was great for walking to downtown Napa.

Our bed had a sink hole in the middle so we were rolling into the middle. That is hard when you need a more firm bed for back support.

Inn on First is a cozy B&B in the heart of Napa. The grounds and gardens are well maintained and welcoming for a quiet moment or mediation. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The breakfasts were homemade and served hot. It included homemade granola, yogurt, fresh fruit, and a homemade pastry as well as coffee, tea, and orange juice. The innkeepers are knowledgeable about the area and are willing to make recommendations for daily excursions. I highly recommend the property.

Went at Christmas time. Our room was not decorated for the holidays. I added some fairy lights to make it more festive. The dining room in the central part of the inn was very festive.

I couldn’t possibly say enough to relay how lovely we found our experience of the Inn on First. From the moment we booked, the communication from the inn was clear and helpful. We knew exactly what to expect when we arrived so we could enjoy our experience. And enjoy we did! The amenities were all we could ask for: super comfortable, super romantic and cozy. Just wonderful. And then there was the food! We had such amazing breakfasts every day. Perfect start to a day of wine tasting and exploring Napa. It was all so great. And I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention how truly lovely our hosts were. They were beyond helpful with recommendations and so very friendly. The one winery we didn’t enjoy was the only one we visited that they do dint recommend. They know their stuff. AND the price was incredibly accessible. I’d say the value here could beat any four star hotel. Really, I could go on!
