Garden Place Hotel

We always like staying at the Garden Place. If it is run by anyone with the name Salvatore, you know it will be good. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful! Breakfast personnel were wonderful and helpful with a very inexpensive breakfast menu.

We have stayed here many times. For the first time, I see this hotel starting to look "a little" run down and not as clean as it should be for a Salvatore. The beautiful steps leading to the second floor were always dirty and in need of vacuuming. The showers had no shelves to put your soap and shampoo on. That was not good. We had to put our toiletries on the floor of the shower! The whole interior in my opinion needs some "freshening up" or re-doing. It is starting to show its age. Perhaps the company is investing more time in "The Delevan" or "Salvatore's" restaurant itself.

love the feel of the place. felt like I was at the overlook hotel from the movie The Shining. plus I think my room was haunted two nights in a row I felt like someone sat at the bottom of my bed and woke me up. it was cool having the hot tub in the room. I love it other than the spooks. lol

I thought the site said it had free breakfast. I must have been wrong. I have limited allotted food expenses. so I need to have my breakfast included so I can make it through breakfast, lunch, and dinner with what my company lots us for food per day.

The hotel is pretty funky and cool. Our room was spacious, and had a fridge and comfy bed. Bathroom design is a bit unusual, but still works. The room was nice and quiet. There is a shuttle to and from the airport, which we needed as we were without a car and arrived on a late night flight. When we did pick up a rental car, the shopping and grocery stores were close by. I would stay here again and recommend it.

While the front desk person was trying to be helpful by combining 2 bookings (on 2 different online sites), he did not understand our needs and it ended up costing us over $40 more than just leaving the 2 bookings as they were.

Let's start from the bottom line: if you are looking for a super modern luxury hotel, this is not the best option for you, but if you want to stay in an art gallery with nice rooms and convenient location, this hotel is definitely satisfies you. We stayed here for 3 nights. The location is great, next to i90 and super close to the airport. Lots of good restaurants and diners are around it. The staff are incredibly polite, nice, professional and friendly. The room was clean and the ac was on when we arrived. The room and the hotel had everything we wanted. *But, spend some time to explore the paintings, statues and artworks inside and outside of the hotel. Wherever you look, you can find large/tiny details that make this place interesting, from the super large chandelier in the lobby to tiny statues in the hallway. *We loved this hotel, and we strongly recommend it to anyone who wants a different experience.

We loved EVERYTHING! This hotel was a sphr of the moment for us. We were coming from Salem, MA back home to MO and got caught in a horrible snow storm. I booked the first thing I saw in my app that had a fair price. We were not expecting what we got. This hotel is BEAUTIFUL! We walked around twice just admire everything. The staff were amazing! So friendly, answered all of our questions, and the room service was fantastic. They went above and beyond and made us feel so welcome. And the food was *chef's kiss.* The bed... I cannot day enough. We spent two nights in a hotel in Salem that was over triple the price and the bed was basically a rock with pebbles for pillows. The bed at Garden Place was SO comfortable and really want a long way in helping us relax, especially after a soak in the jacuzzi. We didn't want to leave! We kept hoping the snow storm would keep going so we had an excuse to stay another night. My parents are planning to visit Niagara Falls later this year and we've recommended the hotel to them. As for us, we're just trying to find an excuse to go back! Thank you for such a great stay!

Staff is always friendly! I have been staying at this location and Salvatore's Grand Hotel for years and I will continue to stay with them because of the experience. As much as I love Salvatore's Grand Hotel, this site is a more budget friendly location and still has the luxury feel you're looking for.

Cleanliness of the floors and upgraded sheets on the bed would be nice. I have been staying at these locations either for business or just getting away from home for almost three years and in that span you can tell some things need improvements/upgrades and some things should be brought back. It's still a nice facility and close to almost everything but you can tell the Garden Place location needs some deep TLC in the halls and rooms.

Nice staff, friendly guests and staff. Needs some maintenance, because our room would not allow the Hit tub to, drain, therfore the hot tub overflowed and the maintenance and the front desk clerk charged me i for problems when it was actually a Maintence issue. We got another room, stayed and then was told to not use the Hit tub. What..??? Just as we attempted to use the hot tub the handle to the tub was completely broken, are you kidding me. I know the hotel is older and has a nice amount of history but , definitely needs some help in room 285, and in 274, please check the hit tubs in 285 it does not drain. I don't know how to report it. I don't think k i should of been charged like $ 180.00 for damages not my fault, even the desk clerk couldn't get it to work properly. In room 274, it was a nicer remodeled renovation but the handles on that tub did not seat on the faucet. For you maintenence purposes I feel I need to report this, before your next guests have issues. Other than that everything was accommodation to the standards necessary, I slept nicely afterwards. The Garden Place Hotel is excellently placed for those stopping on a road journey. It's so easy! The staff were friendly and efficient, the room was attractively furnished, and the bed was comfortable. Before I left at 6:00 am I was able to pick up some items from the breakfast bar for my drive. Almost perfect!

Everything was perfect until I discovered that the piped music goes on till at least 11:00pm. There was a speaker right outside my door. When I asked about it, I was told that they would lower the volume but that they were not allowed to turn it off. I'm not sure I noticed a lower volume.

This place has a lovely unique vintage charm. Stayed in a room with jacuzzi. Yes it’s a lil old and the furniture is dated but that’s what I love and search for when picking a hotel. If u want a boring hotel go somewhere else. No weird smells in our room which can be an issue with these types of places. The bed was very soft and squishy but we slept great. Comfortable room, I would stay here again I think it’s gorgeous .

Sure the carpets old and there was some random stains on the wall. But I can overlook that. Our window was into the lobby which is kind of odd .

The location for the hotel was very convenient. The hotel had a lot of charm. The staff was very friendly. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The windows had excellent room darkening capabilities. The hotel had a lot of character. Walking distance to the Anchor Bar was a plus.

My complaint is the room keys kept deactivating and I had to go downstairs on multiple occasions to have the keys redone. The electrical plugs in the bathroom vanity area near the sink did not work, so I had to use the blow dryer using a bedroom plug, and the dryer kept coming loose. The remote control didn’t work so we had to have new batteries. They were prompt in bringing a new remote.
