The location is great and the staff are friendly. The included breakfast is good.

The in-room coffee supplies weren't stocked prior to our stay, as there was only one decaf coffee pod supplied. The small shampoo and conditioner bottles supplied appeared to have been previously used as they were not full. The bathroom could use a waste basket. Bed would be more comfortable if the pillows supplied included a variety for different sleepers. Ours were all very pouffy and hard (bad for side sleepers).

Great, hot, freshly made buffet breakfast. I was given gluten free bread when I requested it. Beds are very comfortable. Window can be opened for fresh air, and surprisingly quiet, considering the location close to a major highway. Conveniently located, near all the shops, restaurants and markets we wanted to visit.

There was a dirty cloth left on our bedside table, presumably forgotten by housekeeping when making up our room. An item of mine was knocked onto the floor and under the bed, from the same table. Not very pleasant. I had also made online reservations at what I thought was the onsite restaurant. Turns out, there are several Salvatore's in the area, none of which are connected. We were celebrating an anniversary and a birthday, and it was a Saturday night. Due to the mix-up, we had to modify our dinner plans. Luckily, we were there for two nights! Be sure you're booking for Russell's, not another "Salvatore" restaurant.

The rooms were impeccably clean and the staff courteous and observant. The hotel’s decor isn’t quite as over the top as the nearby Garden Hotel, but still is Italian that comes across as endearing rather than garish—possibly because everything feels well maintained. Pictures and snippets of Buffalo adorn the walls, and there’s a large area near the lobby with framed newspaper articles about Salvatore’s philanthropy. Breakfast was standard hotel food, but a cut above. Salvatore himself—at age 90—greeted guests at breakfast.

Location is a bit out of the way for Buffalo.

Great parking, very nice staff, good breakfast. Staff was attentive and immediately switched our room as it smelled of cigarette smoke. We are non smokers. The room that smelled was 209. we were moved to 219 the difference was noticeably different. It smelled clean without a hint of smoke. The sink is nice to look at but poorly designed. Water went every where. We used the tub to soak before bed. It had been a very long day at the funeral pallor. it eased our physical aches and pains and probably helped to ease our minds and hearts. We hope to return for happier reasons at some point in the future. Thank you

Russels has been on my bucket list.. It was a lovely building ...the room was about the same as any other room. If I could wish for one thing it might be a late night menu for room service. The breakfast was OK ...and the water bottles were a nice touch. I expected something different...Like maybe high end egg bites..or some kinda of bar for the road...danishes...the muffins were very dry.. If I was Mr. Salvatore I'd replace all the blow dryers as well.. There were paint chips missing and the parts of it were loose so you felt like you had to hold it together as you dried your hair. Also...and I am only trying to be helpful..but the cover on the ironing board should not be wrinkled... You have to think a woman is mostly going to use these items and the man doesn't care ...Who decides where you stay? There was a very nice young man delivering room service...I think he has a better future than bell boy...You might have him getting customers at the desk or in the lobby...he would brighten everyones day young and old a like! I did not catch his name. Thank you.

The decorations and the History of the hotel of the owner and enjoyed the memorial park! The breakfast was delicious and fresh! Loved the actual silverware, cups plates and cloth napkins, not only with the coffee bar in room but through out food/drink services. And all employees were exceptionally friendly and helpful! Our room was very clean and comfortable, loved the little welcome note from staff.

I wish the prices for the restaurant were a little bit cheaper! I would have like to have tried it, but it just wasn’t in our budget! Was surprised that bacon wasn’t served for breakfast on buffet.

We loved the size of the room and how comfortable the beds were. It was the cleanest hotel room we've ever stayed in. (And we travel alot!) Normally most rooms are clean but forget small details that I tend to notice, and this was not the case here. Every inch was immaculate which made our stay way more enjoyable. Our housekeeper Elizabeth also left us a cute note to welcome us. Something else we loved was that you couldn't hear the busy traffic outside, just planes taking off. And once the AC was running you couldnt hear any rooms around you or the hallway. We will definitely be back again!

We didn't love the breakfast, although we've definitely had worse. Everything was hot but didn't taste the best.

Russell Salvatore is truly the man they make him out to be. He does work every single day, I even passed by him heading into his restaurant. Never got to formally meet him, but you can tell he is present. The staff are pleasant to deal with. The whole place is refined. The free hot breakfast puts Denny's to shame. The room is comfortable and easy to relax in. Also the first time I was able to decently sleep in a hotel bed, granted I brought my own bedding to put over top. I really could not find anything to complain about. Bravo Mr. Salvatore! Bravo!

Never had been, so I wish I had known about the dress code for the restaurant. Granted, once you walk into the hotel alone, you understand why there is a dress code for the steak house. Just means I will have to come stay again.

Thoroughly clean rooms. The hot tub in the room is fun and a touch wacky, but it works well. Staff helped us after flight was cancelled; they have a van to the airport at any hour.

The hotel includes one of the better restaurants in town, which is great but it is impossible to get a same day reservation. Sitting at the bar for a $$$ meal is not a good feeling. There are no nearby restaurants that one can walk to in this entire area around the airport; you must use delivery.

The breakfast was excellent. There was something for everyone’s pallet from hot food eggs/sausage to cereal/fruits. The location of the hotel is near great shopping as well. The rooms are large.

The in room coffee maker / cups could be larger. Ther could be more accessible plugs/ ports for chargers. You have to pull the nightable away from the wall to plug in your device. The one side of the bed you have to unplug the night table lamp and the clock in order to charge your device.
