The Delavan

The Room was updated and visually pleasing. Mini fridge in the room which was convenient! The bathroom was beautiful! The room was clean. It was a bit too warm for us but we were able to turn on the AC to cool the room down. Over all, great room!

The bed was springy and not as comfortable as I had hoped. There was no duvet cover. Only a white sheet over the top of the bed which is pretty cheap for an expensive room! The bedding should be much better! Although the bathroom was beautiful, the lighting was NOT very good for getting ready (makeup, hair, etc.). A wall mounted makeup mirror would be an amazing addition that every woman would be thankful for!

Beautiful hotel. It looks exactly like the pictures. Our 2 bed Queen room was spacious and very clean. It was quiet and even though it's pretty close to the Airport, we didn't hear the planes. We ate at the Italian Prime restaurant and everything was delicious. The ambiance was just what you'd expect at a fine dining establishment. There was also entertainment (Friday night) in both the Chandelier Bar and the Oyster Bar; great to enjoy an after dinner cocktail. We were given $10 to apply toward breakfast. There's not a lot on offer, so it basically gets you 2 breakfast sandwiches. Coffee/tea are complimentary 24/7.

There was no hot water to have a shower. Apparently, you had to fiddle with the handle to find the "sweet spot" in order to get the hot water set. The TV in the room could be larger given the size of the room. Given the price per night, a hot breakfast buffet would have been nice.

Helpful staff, good location, room clean and comfortable with minor problems only. Restaurants on site. Nice small a la carte breakfast available.

Our room had an adjoining room used by other guests. At 2:30 in the morning we were woken by smoke from cigarettes coming from next door. This was very disturbing and unpleasant and triggered breathing difficulties in my partner. The staff were very supportive and we were compensated however I do not recommend taking a room which has an adjacent one unless you are using them both as a family or group.

The facility was absolutely beautiful! Front desk staff was kind and attentive for our every need, and made us feel welcome immediately. Our room was beautiful as well, the bed was very comfortable and everything was super clean. We requested housekeeping service on our first day there, and the housekeeping was willing to work around our massage appointment to clean our room which was so kind. Breakfast offered is still currently a cold continental grab and go, which was perfectly fine for us. We were able to get yogurt, bagels, muffins, etc. Our experience at the spa was nothing short of spectacular. My boyfriend and I came in to get a couple’s massage the day after Valentine’s Day, and both of the girls who worked with us were amazing and made sure their top priority was making us feel safe and comfortable, and providing us with an awesome massage experience. We decided to go to the Chandelier Bar on our last night at the hotel, and the bartenders were awesome! We arrived to the bar a bit late, and the kitchen was already closed sadly- but one of awesome bartenders hooked us up and got us one of their menu desserts after hours. They also had an adorable photo area set up for Valentine’s Day outside the restaurants. Overall the experience was amazing and even though we were only there for 2 days, it was an amazing place to stay and I wish we had more time to enjoy the full facility. Definitely will be staying at The Delavan Hotel the next time we are in Buffalo!

Very few things could’ve been improved upon during our stay, the majority of it was amazing. When we had first arrived, we had noticed there was a dead bird outside one of the windows of reception. There were also some pretty intense pot holes in the parking lot that could definitely use fixing, luckily we had arrived during the daytime and were able to see and avoid them clearly. Our room was clean and well maintained, but our lampshades were a bit dusty.

The shuttle service. Called to be picked up at the airport; they said to give them 15 min. After 35 min, I called again and they were 5 min away. We were picked up but then taken to The Garden Place instead of the Delavan even though I’m sure we told her what hotel. At the Garden Place, we waited for her to take care of an Italian customer that was upset. She then took us to the right hotel. I was disappointed with the trip but loved the hotel

Check in was great, Sonny was a delight to work with. The room was amazing, clean, modern and just WOW!! We were there for an early medical appointment for my wife so we left quite early but our time there was extremely pleasant.

Would have been nice to have a microwave if it was an extended stay. Other than that it is an amazing place.

The lobby and hallways were very grand! Beautiful Christmas decor made us feel in the holiday spirit! The property was well taken care of and displayed pride of ownership. Beautiful furnishings, beautiful room. Loved the double sink in bathroom!

Duvet that was inside the cover had a body fluid stain on it. It was a turnoff but at checkout we made the front desk aware. IT was covered by a clean duvet cover, but it had slipped out and made us a bit squeamish.

The hotel is beautiful. Staff was super friendly and helpful. There was a decent continental breakfast. We used the gym and pool table. Nice additions to our experience.

We arrived late on a Saturday night and surprisingly found that the lounges had closed at 11:00 pm. We played some pool instead. Sunday night they closed at 9:00 pm so we came down at 8:00 pm. We felt those hours were kind of early to shut down when patrons are "on vacation."

The hotel met all of our expectations and needs and especially liked the location. The room was very clean and quiet at night. We asked for fresh towels on day 3 and they appeared outside our room quickly- cleaning staff was super courteous and met us with a smile and hello every morning.

The cardpass stopped working for the backdoor and since the front elevator was being fixed, it meant we needed to walk back and forth a ton. Not a big deal, but certainly an inconvenience. Staff was unable to reset the cardpass- other guests were also in the same boat.

The spa was amazing Mrs L poole was very nice I really appreciate her energy on my born day. I love the bathrooms down the hall, very antique and old fashion and comfortable. love the live band music perfect could use a little more lamb for half a rack of lamb on my plate. I need all weight gain no need to be stingy lol

next door complaining about noise when it wasn’t even after midnight so you need better soundproof rooms It isn’t fair that we pay the same cost to enjoy ourselves.
