Hilton Garden Inn West 35th Street

location was perfect. walking distance to many attractions and many shops. hotel was clean, housekeeping everyday, The shower was wonderful with glass door. All the bathroom amenities were awesome. The room was bigger than we expected being in NYC. The elevators were fast, never had to wait long. The staff was friendly and helpful and always have smiles on their faces also. There was no extra charge for luggage storage after checkout.

The location could not have been better! Metro right on the corner, close to everything. Staff was super friendly and the hotel was nicely decorated for Thanksgiving. We had a room with an insane view of the city, we couldn't be happier with our experience. It definitely added a lot to our visit to NY. I've been to the city multiple times, and this is by far the best hotel I've stayed considering price, location and facilities.

What an amazing stay we had at the Hilton Garden Inn West 35th Street. It was perfect from start to finish. The location is fantastic, just off 5th avenue and also a stones throw from Macys and all other major attractions, everything is within walking distance. The staff were wonderful and so helpful, they always had a smile on their faces. The room was spotless and cleaned every day and the bed was extremely comfortable with cosy feather pillows. We had great fun with Irish Sean who worked behind the bar. We will 100% be returning to this hotel on our next trip from Ireland and already look forward to it.

The only thing I can say bad about this hotel is - I asked a male staff member at reception for a bottle of water which they held behind the reception desk for guests arrival as it was 35° heat outside but he rudely told us it was for purchase only in their in house shop. It cost $5 dollars for a small bottle of water. Any other staff member we asked for water was happy to give it to us. Not a big deal but just thought he could have been a bit nicer about it.

Location was central, with close proximity to subway just right outside. Many good food options available around the area too. The largest Macys in NYC was also just right round the corner, great for shopping. Many other shopping options available around the area. Near times square, but away from the action (which I liked). Room was clean, with strong shower 🚿. Was staying on the 12th floor, and noise from outside traffic was negligible. Aircon was strong too, which i liked.. Small room, had 2 large luggages and 2 hand carry, but space was more than sufficient. Room came with microwave and fridge, as well as coffee and tea maker.

2 bottles of complimentary water provided only for the 1st night. Hotel will not provide any water for following nights (which was expressly communicated during check-in) which i felt should be part of the services provided. Rooms not exactly cheap, water should have been a must have instead of a 'bonus'. If rationing was important, hotel could have just provided 2 bottles per room per night instead of just 2 bottles for the entire stay.

The location is perfect for exploring NYC, pretty central so you can get to either end of Manhattan without difficulty. Herald Square subway station is right there. Stayed here about 14 years ago, tried a different hotel about 12 years ago and was very disappointed, had to come back and was greeted warmly by staff every day.

The walls are rather thin, it wasn't too much of an issue until the weekend when they got busier. Had some noisy kids wake me in the middle of the night when I had an early wakeup call. The pillows are too soft, not much support for the neck, it took all the pillows to create the support I desired.

Location is THE major asset, given proximity to Penn Stations and subway lines, along with mid-town attractions. Great to access most public transit within minutes. Pro tip: adjacent street traffic is awful, so subway is always a better option than getting stuck in cabs/Lyft, if they can even get to you. Very responsive, helpful and professional staff, from front desk to housekeeping. Clean, well maintained facility. Comfortable beds.

Rooms really are small, more like many European (or Japanese) hotels. Spouse could not pass by desk if I was seated there as there was no space between chair and foot of bed. But we spent very little time there so not really an issue. Just be aware. Also. room lightings is sparse. 'Bar' area is not very inviting. 'Restaurant' is really a limited cafe with one (?) staff person diligently trying to meet orders in the morning. Great breakfast options in close walking distance.

The Hilton Garden Inn West 35th Street was excellent, we couldn’t fault a thing during our stay. The hotel is perfectly situated, the beds were heaven super comfy and the rooms were spotless! The staff were all so helpful and kind. We will definitely be staying here again!

Absolutely nothing!

+ perfect location. two steps away from different metro lines. In the middle of Manhattan. Safe and nice area. A lot of shops (Mayc’s for ex) and restaurants around the hotel. + caring staff. We got a free upgrade so we could admire the view of Empire Building + modern hotel. Big and comfortable room (very bog for NY standards). Big shower. Quality Beauty at the bathroom. Comfortable king size bed. Wardrobe with iron stand + self service area for breakfast where you can find sneaks and Coffe + very clean rooms and public space + nice gym open 24 hours + good wi-fi

Location was excellent. We were able to get there from JFK on public transport easily enough! Room was a little small, but it’s New York
