Excellent location, close to many attractions especially our main purpose for coming to NYC—Carnegie Hall. Everything was within walking distance….Central Park, Broadway shows, restaurants,….

The hotel needs to seriously address the elevator issue. (Our friends, who had stayed b4, warned us.)Thankfully we were only on the 6th floor, which allowed us to use stairs, but had we been higher—forget about it! Also, not much to offer guests refreshments/entertainment at night.

Location was convenient, it was a short walk to Time’s Square and still enjoyed our quite night after busy NY mornings.

No fridge, it had to be requested. Also no coffee machine which would have been a great addition.

Great location, near Central park and 5th Ave. Metro and bus stops right around the corner. Clean and spacious rooms, with large beds even for a twin room. Wifi ok. There is no breakfast served in the hotel, but there are many Delis and coffee shops nearby to choose from. No waiting times on check-out, just drop the card and go.

Loooong waiting times to take the elevator up and down. There are always long queues at the lobby and floors, need to patiently wait 5-10 minutes to take the elevator almost every time. Better if you stay on the first floor.... Rooms are noisy, not very well insulated from the exterior. Worse thing is, they ask for a deposit of 100 USD per day (yes, per day!), which is not mentioned on Booking.com. I would understand if they asked a deposit of 100 USD for the full stay, but 100 USD per day is way too much, specially because there is no minibar in the rooms. It is like the management was assuming that we would break things in the room everyday, and the more you stay the more things you will break, lol. Need to say though, that the deposit was returned 2 days after departure.

Perfect location just a few minutes from Central Park. It's walkable to midtown and beyond but there is the subway a block up. The lobby area is vast and the staff very welcoming and checking in and out were seamlessly easy. There's a great bar behind the reception and John is the perfect host (thanks for getting me a cab at short notice!). There is a small shop for quick food purchases if needed. The room was a double suite with a big comfortable double bed whilst the bathroon was big with an excellent powerful shower. A nice touch were the shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers. The staff replaced towels every day and tidied up everything to perfection ...

I was surprised there wasn't a mini bar or coffee maker but that is only a small quibble as you will be out and about most of the time.

The location was perfect for us. It's close to Central Park, Times Square, Rockefeller Center and other places we wanted to visit. You can walk to the park which is so beautiful, many good restaurants around and lots to do.

I booked the reservation on Booking.com , I specifically asked for two rooms with two queen beds in each room. I was there with my kids. However, when I was checking in the front was telling me since I booked through a third party site they cannot guarantee this request! This was unacceptable. I had to speak to the manager and get aggravated.

The view was excellent, the room was very quiet and the beds were extremely comfortable. The staff were all very friendly. Other reviewers noted a wait for the elevators but we never had an issue where we had to wait more than 5 minutes. It was only a short walk to Central Park (and an amazing playground!) and Times Square was just down the street but the hotel is far enough away to be out of the chaos. Any store/food you could possibly want all around, and a subway station literally outside the front door. Highly reccomend.

There was enough space in the room to allow for an additional small seating area/small table or settee which we were already wishing for by the end of the first day. With 4 people and only one chair made it a bit awkward for a longer stay. Maybe some of the one bed suites could be converted to have 2 queens to offer a few rooms with more space that could better accomodate families.

Great location. Good price. Wonderful staff A-Z.

We selected this property through Booking.com because it was one of four listed in the area with an airport shuttle. However, when we contacted the hotel to schedule an airport pickup, they informed us they did not have a shuttle service. We feel this was false advertising.

Good location, next to subway, Carnegie Hall and lots of facilities nearby. Rooms are large and to a good standard.

Due to legacy of covid, no breakfast provided and bar opens at 5pm. With 700 odd rooms management must find a way to open at least before check in, say 3pm, maybe split staff shifts. Before 3pm bar was completely closed, after 5pm there was about 6 staff. Seems there was at least 40 people waiting to check-in from about 1pm till 4pm with the bar closed. McDonald’s probably provides the cheapest breakfast say $40 without drinks for 4. Other breakfasts cost between $15-$20 per person, Park Central should be able to provide an at least limited breakfast option within that price range. Also one lift did not work for the whole of our week’s stay and this was a disruption to all occupants.

We got a great deal for 3 nights under $1000 including all city taxes and fees. For a 4 star hotel in NYC centrally located wheee we never had to taxi anywhere, that’s unheard of. We chose to take the subway to the Brooklyn Bridge/Soho but other than that walked everywhere. Safe area, Starbucks next door, some beat station at the end of the block, CVS two blocks away, Heaven on 7th newly opened local grocery one block away is great for grab and go food and drinks. Half the price of the hotel marketplace. Fantastic hotel!

Lighting in our room could have been better. We had two queen beds in our room and only one lamp on one nightstand. Also the lighting in The bathroom as dim so I had to put my makeup on in the hallway with overhead lighting using the full length mirror. When taking a shower the tub didn’t drain. Bathroom could use an update in general. It was meh. Couldn’t check in until after 4:00pm without paying additional fee.

The hole experience was very nice, from check-in to check-out. We were very lucky and able to go to the room earlier then check in time. The manager, Elisabeth, was fantastic and our housekeeper Amina was very nice whenever we met her. Everything we asked for was provided. The room was a little smaller than we thought though.

Just one thing. At check-in everything was already payed according to Booking, but my wife was charged U$ 750,00 on her card. We thought it was just that deposit one always has to do at check in, but it was really charged and not cancelled afterwards. We payed extra money other than the value informed (When you stay you will pay R$ 0) and already charged by Booking. Why is that???
