Dream Midtown

The front desk and bell men were so friendly. The roof top was great! The manager of the rooftop restaurants was very alert and hospitable. The bartender made a fabulous lavender girl drink.

The breakfast was poor. I wish it had protein such as eggs. It was all carbs or yogurt. I don’t eat carbs or dairy. I had a subpar apple and coffee in the morning. The room service was very slow. I asked for more body wash before taking a shower. Waited a half hour and decided to use shampoo. Once we got home at 2am there was body wash. It would have came in handy for the shower… The lights in the room were all very dim. The brightest light was in the closet, which we opened regularity to see.

Location is fantastic for walking and subway to theaters, Central Park, and sights. Room is NYC small but comfortable and clean. Housekeeping came every day. Our 1st floor room had some street noise but not so much that we felt the need to move. We used the 4 breakfast vouchers for 2 of our mornings. The breakfast vouchers are for Serafina restaurant on the lobby level. Food was good with lots of options.

We hoped the rooftop bar would be a good place to spend some time, but the outdoor area was not set up well. It has a great view; our weather was perfect; but there were only a few tables which were all taken. There was space for more tables and chairs. We felt a bit cheated.

Location of the hotel is perfect. Easy to go for a run to the Central park, and short walk to famous avenues and shops. Breakfast was ok, coffee was very good. It was also possible to order some extra like eggs or pancakes. Those portions were quite big, so, for example, pancakes may be well shared by two or even three persons. It was nice to have water bottles from the reception when heading out for the day to see the city.

View from the window was a wall, which may be usual in New York, though. Bed was too soft for my taste. There were lots of pillows but they were all soft, too. It would be nice to have different kinds of pillows to choose from. When trying to get some drinking water from the tap, only warm water was available. Huge waste of water if trying to wait for cold water.

The location close to nearby Times Square and restaurants. Walking distance to shop. Staff very professional and friendly. Enjoyed the cocktail lounge and rooftop bar. The continental breakfast included in the price. Staff helpful with getting access to private service to travel to a restaurant. The hotel was very clean.

The pillows on the bed lacked support. We had challenges with sleeping comfortably. The shower did not have a door, which made the floor wet. The $100 hold for hotel expenses could not be applied to the cocktail lounge. So money was withheld without access to use.

The hotel itself was quiet and comfortable. we were in 107 on the first floor and slept well. normal city noise but fine. The best part of this hotel is the well trained and knowledgeable staff all were beyond friendly! Things like plenty of towels and a good TV made all the difference. Special shout-out to the Serafina staff, kind, friendly and helpful. Special shout out to the breakfast staff and the bartender Wilson. all well managed and led by the mgr. Gianluca. Bravo! Tbe location is unbeatable for Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Central Park, Broadway as well as the Upper East and West sides.

Great location! Near the MOMA, Rockefeller Center, and shopping (Nordstrom !).It’s a very pretty building. The room (king suite) was huge! You will not find a bigger room for the price, and, having two full bathrooms was fantastic. Our room had huge windows overlooking the street, the people watching was great. The rooms were impressively clean, clearly the housekeeping staff cares about their job. In fact, the staff was probably the best part of the hotel. The front desk and bell hop went out of their way to be sure we had everything we needed and were super friendly.

There was a little bit of road noise but that’s typical NYC and it didn’t keep us awake. There are a couple bars and a nightclub in the hotel so the lobby was busy at night. The guest room floors were secured so it didn’t feel unsafe, the people coming in and out didn’t seem shady at all and to some people, the on-site club might even be a plus but it was just kind of busy in the evening.

I was super pleased with this hotel. It was clean, hip, and in a most perfect location-- close to Central Park, major museums, Broadway, and Fifth Avenue. Our 11th floor double room room was spacious and quiet. The staff was excellent and I enjoyed the free continental breakfast at the adjacent Serafina restaurant, where you could order additional breakfast fare if you chose. The in-room bathrobes were an added, unexpected perk!

I loved everything about this hotel. I will definitely stay there again.

The location was excellent for our NYC plans, many within walking distance, with subway access 1/2 block away. The room was comfortable and large for New York. The continental breakfast was just right to get the day started in the adjoining restaurant. Much praise and applause for the excellent staff. Always willing to help answering questions and giving advice, always with a smile.

Only problem was the nightly noise outside from the garbage trucks in the street below.

The location was very convenient and close to major tourist attractions and entertainment venues. Also not far from the Apple Store on Fifth Avenue. The room was spacious and clean, with excellent views. I didn’t make it to breakfast at Serafina’s unfortunately, but the breakfast vouchers were much appreciated. Front desk staff were very helpful and clear with directions. Airport shuttle services offered. I thought I left something in my room after I checked out and they searched the room for me.

A little bit noisy as far as street ambience in the evenings, but not enough to keep me awake. There were times I wished I could heat some water to make tea.

We stayed for 3 nights over the NYC Marathon weekend and had a wonderful stay. The hotel staff were very responsive to our requests and attentive to details. Special attention was paid to those coming in for the marathon with extended hours for breakfast and bottled water set out in the lobby in the morning. Rooms were clean although small (but standard size for NYC) and the bed was very comfortable. The room temperature was perfect especially during the unseasonably warm weekend - the A/C in the room was wonderful. Off-site parking was easy to access and the hotel offers a voucher for discounted rates. A short walk to major attractions in midtown and very close to Central Park. Rooms were fairly quiet considering the location. Continental breakfast at the restaurant was great. Early risers definitely have the best selection but food was fresh and plentiful. Standard continental breakfast fare (fruit, cereal, yogurt, bagels, coffee, juice etc.) and staff were very helpful and courteous.

The hotel is definitely suited for an older crowd and wouldn't be a good choice for those with small children. We didn't bring our kids for this trip so it was perfect for us as a couple.
