Smart, budget hotel. I think it was newly renovated or built. I found the hotel, room and bathroom clean and hygienic. No smell or odor which usually you find in an old or rundown hotel. Furniture was also clean and not rundown with a small working area and chair. Several power sockets in the room however all American sockets, you can ask the reception to provide you an adaptor, if available they will give you one, I did and received one which I returned at check-out. The hotel offers breakfast from 7:00 - 10:00 a.m. and refreshments from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. (if my memory serves me right). Both were included in my room but unfortunately I did not try since I prefer to explore the local restaurants. You can also find coffee machine, water from fountain etc. at the restaurant area which you can access all times. No coffee machine in the room. The room has a small, drawer refrigerator you can use for drinks. Excellent location: If this is your first time in Manhattan and you plan to explore primarily Manhattan, this is an excellent location close to almost all subway lines. Central park is at two blocks distance. The street is not noisy. The room was small considering I live in Middle East and here the hotels rooms are quit large and spacious. But I believe the hotel and rooms were designed by NYC standards.

Fortunately for me, everything turned out to be very positive. Considering which part of the world you come from, you can find some people of NYC to be rude but in my case I found the hotel staff to be very kind and polite in all my communications. I even asked the lady at the reception do I need to take any precautions considering rising crime rate in NYC, she gave me some useful tips.

Entire boutique property and staff was exceptional. Property is meticulously clean and service was friendly and efficient! I specifically booked this property for its location (i.e. outside of busy Times Square area) but it was still a great location, walkable to most places we visited.

Unfortunately, we did not use the lounge, beverages and small snacks as we had planned. We only had a few coffees and missed the wine reception completely. In this respect, the additional "resort fee" was somewhat a waste for us. I couldn't imagine a 200sf Jr. Suite but was surprised how well designed it was and it felt much more spacious. The biggest issue we had was that we struggled with the water from the shower going all over the bathroom floor! It looked gorgeous but was not functional because we had to lay towels down to contain the water and had to wring out the totally soaked towels each time.

This is a very nice new hotel right behind Carnegie Hall. Location is excellent, rooms are new and clean if a bit small, and free continental breakfast, snacks and evening wine are offered in the small common area on the ground floor. Pricing is reasonable compared to other hotels in the area.

The hotel is fit into a tight space and everything inside feels a bit jammed. Lobby and common areas are small, as are hallways on each floor. On the other hand that means only 4 (?) rooms per floor so quiet. Rooms are very nice if a bit small, best for business travelers without a lot of luggage. Bathrooms are a decent size.

Location is perfect. just near the subway. straight to JFK! I don't know who are the people that complain about the breakfast, its not common to have any breakfast at all. And yes you don't have eggs and bacon, but you have: yogurts, some bread for choice, oatmeals, cereals, some fruits, 3-4 kinds of juices, some jam and honey, toaster, 5-8 coffee option from coffee machine include hot chocolat. As well you can drink coffee ALL DAY the machine is completely free!! as well you can fill water when you want totally free. I liked the stuff. we had great talks and the were very helpful. The room is nice, not small as in Paris. Very clean room. room was cleaned every day. I really enjoyed the place.

Nothing to say, I liked every minute there.

Quiet location away from Times Square NYE chaos; within blocks of Central Park, 5th Ave, MOMA, and very good restaurants. Staff were always pleasant and helpful, and offered us a lovely anniversary gift. Complimentary beverages throughout the day and evening wine and cheese were truly heart and belly warming for an active walkabout winter visit.

Room had a view onto a brick wall. Dining area was always packed with a rare opportunity to sit.

The room size was what I was expecting for NYC and also the noise if you opened a window. If you want quiet then don't choose a city! I upgraded to a Superior King room and the bed was massive and if you are a bit 'mobile' whilst sleeping there's more than enough room to avoid your partner shouting at you!. Good shower and very clean and tidy with the basics you would need for a city break. Well placed for Central Park and subway lines downtown.

The hotel is fairly narrow and this puts it on the back foot when it comes to the normal facilities like a lobby area with seating and anything extra off such an area. The included breakfast was ok but the breakfast area is a real crush or a major disappointment if you time it wrong! Get there at opening time and it's empty tables (well it was for us!). Dont expect any catering other than the usual basic breakfast stuff.

A 20 story small hotel with modern touches, very clean, with free continental breakfast and beverages and snacks 24/7. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It is directly across the street from the backdoor of Carnegie Hall so you can see all performers when they leave. I would definitely stay there again.

We came to see a friend perform at Carnegie Hall, which is right across the street. Location was perfect, we stayed in NYC 3 days , 2 nights. Great walking neighborhood and an abundance of dining options nearby. Staff was wonderful and accommodating to include helping schedule car transport between the hotel and the airport. We were too busy to take advantage of the wine reception between 5-6 pm… Nice!

The included breakfast was a surprise, but I would like to see meat on the menu…. Petite omelette, bagel and assorted pastry… need real coffee! It really didn’t distract from our experience, but we skipped it knowing that we were meeting friends for brunch/lunch in town and grabbed a cup of coffee from one of the many places within a short walk.

We chose this hotel as it was close to Central Park, where we were getting married, and was within our budget. It was 15 mins in an Uber to the entrance we needed to be at for the park. The location is perfect! It was our second time to NYC so knew our way around a bit. For a first timer this is a great location. Also subway stations round the corner so was really handy. Our room was small but we knew this as typical New York. But it was fine for getting ready in the morning, just the 2 of us. Decent sized bathroom and shower! Bathroom mirror really big with great lighting for getting ready. Also, soap, shower gel and shampoo provided. You were able to get fresh towels and bedding when you wished, there was a wee card telling you what to do to do this. PLENTY of USB plugs throughout the room, next to bed on BOTH sides as well as the side where tv and dressing table was. Was able to charge our phones using the usbs. Also normal sockets too for plugging in hairdryer etc. Full length mirror also next to a plug socket which I love about hotels, makes getting ready easier. Was perfect for doing hair and make up especially on our wedding day. Good sized tv with plenty of channels to watch. Also safe, Air con and iron and ironing board in our room as well. Yes okay breakfast area was small but we realised there was takeaway boxes available, so you were able to make breakfast: Bagels, toast, cereal. Was plenty of muffins, jam, fruit etc and take up to room. Also stations for drinks: Water, fruit juices, tea, coffee and small cups and takeaway coffee style cups to take drinks away too. The drinks station was available all day and night so could pop down anytime for a drink. We used the water from the drinks station to refill our bottles of water each day and night before heading out. We didn't make use of the cheese and wine hour as we were usually out at this time but would have been lovely I'm sure, a nice touch.

I just didn't like the hairdryer in the room. It wasn't powerful enough. I do have quite long hair. I should have taken my own. We also found the pillows to not be so great. But other than this it was great.

This charming European-style hotel is new to us and is now our go-to place for the Central Park South area. Sandwiched between two larger buildings it has only six rooms per floor, small but very comfortable in the European modern mode. Excellent pillows. Right across the street from the stage door entry to Carnegie Hall, there are numerous good restaurants within easy walking distance at a range of price points from reasonable for the area to stupid expensive. Included continental breakfast and wine bar. The staff is welcoming and admirably well-trained.

The breakfast/lounge area is small and struggles to keep up with the traffic at breakfast and happy hour but they don't have much real estate to work with. Anything can be taken to go or back to your room.
