It was a good location for us as we were heading back to Melbourne airport early in the morning. Spacious room with outside seating and chairs. Pool area but unfortunately not warm enough whilst we were there.

Dated property with shower over old bath. Our room had a smell of smoking from the carpets. The location is currently in a bit of a commercial area but there is a new shopping complex about to be built over the road.

This was a typical old-fashioned roadside motel, but it has been updated to meet every need! We loved parking right outside our room door and unloading everything from the trunk straight inside. The room was very neat and clean, it was spacious, the pillows and bed were comfortable, the shower was great (hot and strong water pressure), it was quiet, and we had everything needed to have breakfast in the room. The price was very reasonable, and we would definitely return!

Really, no complaints at all, other than it was too cold and windy to try the pool and hot tub! Not their fault. Such a great value for the price!

Room was clean, with an outdoor garden area. Priced fairly for a motel of moderate standard.Microwave in the room was a bonus. Away from the main beach, but location is acceptable. Pool available in the warmer weather

The security was limited , as my door was opened during the night. Fortunately I had the chain on the door which stopped entry. The tiles in the shower need grouting. Smokers ash tray was not clean outside in the garden area from my room

If you are wanting a budget family getaway in a clean environment, this is the place for you! Tropicana is an original motel from our youth, nothing fancy BUT it is clean, friendly and quiet in a great location for the beach. We've stayed more than once and will be back next summer, I'm sure. Perfect for a weekend away with the family.

We stayed for one night on a Great Ocean Road drive. Location to the outlet shops is perfect. Room was clean with all we needed - kettle, toaster, hairdryer etc. Layout of room allowed separation at bedtime. Short drive to town centre. Would stay again!!

Unfortunately the outdoor spa wasn't available. Parking for the corner rooms is tight if larger vehicles on end (car park options available). Not a complaint but a discovery: we found the wifi prevented us watching the digital catch-up stations via web (ad blocker - 👍 to Tropicana) so have your apps ready!

We arrived in pouring rain after a very long flight and our luggage had not arrived. We were extremely early for check in but this was not a problem at all, we were given an available room for no extra charge. The owner went above and beyond to make sure we felt as comfortable as possible. He also gave us excellent tips for quick trips along the Great Ocean Road. we booked Torquay Motel because of the wonderful reviews and I can agree with them all. What a great start to our holiday, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

It was close to everything. Facilities were good but didn't use pool due to being winter.

The door to outside needed a little oiling or more ball bearings as it was difficult to move open and shut. The bedding was comfortable but the electric blanket's brace was firmly into the middle of the person sleeping closest to the door in double bed.

The location was ideal. Close to all amenities via vehicle.

The bathrooms need attention, and the layout of the spa room wasn't ideal. The chairs were too low for the table.

Easy to find. Nice clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Staff very friendly and helpful

Large rooms, plenty of storage for your luggage and an appropriate amount of kitchen amenities. Pool and spa were nice too.

It's a bit out of the way location wise if you plan on walking to town or the beach, but easy to access by car being right on the highway.
