I stayed on a Thursday evening before the long weekend in March. The location was close to where I needed to go the following day. It is in close proximity to the beach and main strip. It is an old motel that has been given a makeover with some lovely, modern touches. The room was very clean and had good amenities - tea/coffee, hairdryer, tea towel, plates, cups, cutlery, fridge & microwave. In addition, there's a small pool for guests use and on the weekend just gone, one would have needed a dip ! The motel was excellent for a one night stay and I would recommend it for an even longer stay. The motel was excellent value for money before a long weekend.

The carpets had recently been steamed cleaned according to the host however they need to be replaced. There are far too many stains.

The management & staff are absolutely lovely. The motel is in a great location & the room was beautifully decorated as well as being very clean. The staff really went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible & were very friendly. The manager advised that the room is due for renovation over winter which I think will rectify most of the little issues we had.

We stayed in room 2 which is a designated accessible room. However it was a bit lacking. The door ways are standard width, furniture arrangement block the bathroom, there is a half step down into the shower and no wide disabled parking space. The rails in the bathroom make it ideal for frail/aged guests but not quite enough for a wheelchair user like my wife.

We have stayed at this property a number of times. As you would expect rates fluctuate depending on season and events such as long weekends. On a normal weekend it is good value for money. The location is outstanding and within walking distance to a number of restaurants and shops. The beach is across the road. The surf club is about 500m, a great place for a meal and the best view of the coast. The motel itself offers good basic rooms that are old but have been refurbished. The bed was very comfy. Although the motel is on the main road, very little noise could be heard from our room. The motel is affiliated with the resort next door and there is use of facilities such as the large indoor pool, as well as an outdoor bar area at the resort that has live music on weekends and an excellent restaurant and spa/massage facility. The rooms are very clean and the staff are always extremely pleasant and helpful.

Rooms are extremely clean, spacious and light-filled. Bed is comfy, as were pillows. As walls are made from besser brick, there were no issues with noise from neighbours. Location is fantastic, within walking distance of all amenities and right opposite the river. Providing dishwashing liquid was a handy touch. Being able to use facilities at Great Ocean Road Resort is a real bonus.

Road noise. Outdated bathroom with tiny shelf and towel rail that was too tight (owner says they are about to renovate). Lack of comfortable chair/couch. A bit pricey for a basic room. No ironing board or iron.

great location. Only a short walk to the surf beach and shops and coach bus stop from Geelong is directly in front of the property. I particularly liked the fact that you have access to the resort facilities (tennis, trampoline park and cafe and indoor swimming pool) 2 doors down the road. Check-in was friendly and efficient. Room was recently renovated and tastefully decorated. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom a bit dated but clean and everything others have said about the fluffy towels is true. Better than in most 4 star hotels I hated stayed in. Rooms are mostly back from the main road and were quiet. Once a day someone checked to see if anything was needed. Personal welcome WhatsApp sms received with helpful information and link to reserve a table at the resort restaurant.

I probably wouldn’t order the breakfast again, as there are better value options nearby at the 4 kings cafe and the village shops.

The location was excellent close to the beach and a short walk into the town centre. There was a lovely coffee shop within walking distance. The reception staff were wonderful very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean, as was the bathroom. Lovely fluffy large white bathroom towels. The air conditioner was great. Parking was available and free. Overall. our 2 night stay was enjoyable.

Just a few suggestions, the room needs a full length mirror, block out curtains (the blind is not adequate to darken the room enough from the early morning sun, as the Motel faces east) and the room needs a 2 seater couch (there was plenty of space to accommodate one)

Motel was close to the beach and walking distance to shops and restaurants. A great location as a base to explore the surf coast. Staff were very friendly and courteous. Clean and fresh towels were given daily and rubbish removed as well. Coffee and tea facilities were available in each room and a small bar fridge available as well. Would recommend the motel as a nice place to stay for an overnight stay or longer if wanting to enjoy Anglesea or explore the surf coast!

Access to the indoor pool next door was a bonus and the bed was great. quiet rooms even thou next to the main road Big shout out to Bradley the maintenance guy. Cleaning the pool on property but no one is using but makes the first impression of the motel look nice and bright

If I'm being a little fussy but the tv was a bit on the small side but no deal breaker

It was centrally located, so an easy walk to restaurants and the river. We were given a room at the back of the property, as it was a weekend and that was very thoughtful as there would have been a lot of noise from passing traffic. As we were going to a birthday celebration, I was needing an iron. Just a phone call and a brand new one arrived and an ironing board. All Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Location was super. Room comfortable with everything needed. Great Ocean Road and environs are right there Anglesea is a pretty place with a good shopping centre and local pub which serves great food River walks and beach is all very near

A little expensive but it's in an expensive area
