The staff were absolutely amazing and so friendly , especially the lovely house cleaner who always made sure we had clean towels and anything else we needed

The noise from other tenants and their fighting all night keeping us awake , we also had someone trying to get into our room in the middle of the night and on the last night we were there, someone knocked on our door at 3 am asking if he could stay in our room. We said no and shut the door, when we got up that morning, the same homeless person was sitting on top of the roof of our room eating food with all his bags. It was a bit frightening having people trying to get into our room

Location was excellent, the attached pub, The Swinging Pig, was awesome. The bar staff were friendly and the food and drinks were great plus they do room service. The room (No 1) was spacious, I slept like a log because the bed and pillows were comfortable. Cleanliness was excellent especially for a heritage listed building, that was originally a mill in 1840.

I am nit picking here, maybe updated ensuite and new carpet in the room and a slightly larger dining table.

Great location, clean, friendly staff and atmosphere. Liked listening to the live music next door. Loved that I could park outside my door. And key drop off was easy.

At first it was hard to figure out check in since reception was closed but you check in at the pub and it was easy. If you book over a holiday, it’s attached to a pub, I didn’t mind, but others might because it can get loud and full of people.

Location was great. Customer service excellent, especially room service. Lovely, friendly and very courteous. Meals were ok, little overcooked for my liking. Would I stay there again......definately.

Room were exceptionally clean, even though quite aged. External and internal doors need replacing. Carpet very stained. In need of a little TLC. Bed and bedding was very clean and bed was exceptionally comfortable.

Nice clean rooms, friendly staff. Food/drinks in Bar/restaurant pretty decent with affordable prices. Manager allowed us late check out!!

Construction noise next door, not really the hotels fault though to be fair.

I liked the size of the room and the convenience of the swinging pig right next door.

It looked like the front door had been broken into a few times before us, the lock wasn't really to stable , it wouldn't of taken much to have got into the room.

Great spacious room. Little outside table and chairs in shared private courtyard. Clean, cleaned daily, coffee and tea making facilities. Older style accommodation, but very well kept. Excellent air conditioning. Perfect for the purpose of the visit.

Had to fill up the kettle in the bathroom. But apart from that. Value for money. Comfortable. Two free drinks vouchers. Thank you. And a bar and grill right next door. Shopping centre just across the road.

Like I said, the having to fill the kettle from the bathroom sink. And if I was being picky, there could have been a better lock on the door

The rooms were clean and had all we needed in them for the night. Loved that we were close to the bistro and the shops across the road! The swinging pig food is phenomenal if you're looking for a good feed! 😁

The beds are a bit uncomfy, but that's the only con really! We only stayed for one night, so don't want to complain too much! We'd definitely stay again when we are back in the area. :)

From Mel at reception, to the chalets and the housekeepers, this place has it all. We've been coming here for over 5 yrs and it's literally stayed on top of its game the whole time
