The hotel is in an old building a moments walk from the main square of Graz, the hotel entrance is very stylish and the reception staff are very polite and helpful with recommendations for restaurants etc. My room was very clean and well equipped with a kettle, tea and coffee and a refrigerator/mini-bar, also the room has air-conditioning which was very pleasant in last weeks humidity, the room was cleaned daily to a high standard. The bathroom was very clean and well equipped, and the shower was powerful, again the bathroom was cleaned to a high standard every day. The hotel has a good cocktail bar in it, which was a pleasant place to visit, I didnt try the breakfast but it looked very good. The hotel is near to the main restaurant/cafe/bars and sights of the "old town" and is also a moments walk to the tram stops in the square if you want to visit the wider city.

This is a very charming hotel in an old building with an eye catching foyer full of flowers in pots. It is very quaint with it's uneven floors and creaky floorboards, but this is a part of it's charm. You feel like you are staying in a historical building. The staff was very nice, spoke good English and helped us with the parking (the parking garage is bit confusing, but manageable). I also asked for a room with a bath which I got and am very grateful. We didn't choose the breakfast option because the price of almost 20 eur seems a bit high, but then again you do get to enjoy it in the beautiful and very instagrammable foyer. :) I appreciate that the windows could be opened normally. The bed is firm, which I like, and the two pillows are perfect so you can choose which one you prefer. The location is really, REALLY central, you really have everything at hand, and the overnight parking is still very reasonably priced compared to other hotels in such locations.

The floors could be cleaner. I was wearing black socks to and from the bathroom and they got quite dirty from those few steps.

I love this hotel! It was cleaner, nicer, friendlier than I could have imagined. Wonderful staff, comfortable beds and it's quiet! What a wonderful place to stay It's in the center of everything which means it's easy to come back just for a quick rest. The staff speaks great English but you can practice your German..they also will hold your bags of you arrive early or leave after checkout. I considered staying an extra day just to enjoy this hotel. They have a great sauna and a relax room. I might try to just live here for a while this summer.

Breakfast, location, the room itself were all good and nice, even if the windows were facing the other building. Very comfortable bed.

The parking was expensive and far away, if You have bigger luggage and arrive on working day, it is a bit difficult to roll your luggage on busy cobblestone streets. The staff is (like unfortunately appropiate to the whole Austria) a bit cold and not smiling, but luckily at the end of it quite helpful.

It’s definitely well located, very close to almost everything. The building has character and it’s well decorated. The price was very reasonable for the location.

Well the bed was not very comfortable, it was too soft for my liking. Also the room was not soundproof and was able to hear every sound from both of my neighbours.

Very central location, 20m to the Main Square, old and stylish building with nice interior (covered courtyard!), friendly reception, excellent tasty breakfast with wide range of food and drinks (even sparkling wine:), large room with wooden floor, fine bedclothes, large bathroom, pampering shower head

No mirror at the room entrance ; an own washing basin in the (separated) toilette would be useful; the room temperature was in fact 20C only (instead of the promised 22C, which was most probably measured near to the ceiling...)

Perfect location, can't be more central and in walking distance to good restaurants, the tram and shops. The staff was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere very pleasant. The room had a good size with a very high ceiling, the bathroom was large. It was surprising to find a large parking garage close by in this central location.

The blankets were too warm for the season (as in many hotels) and the air conditioner operation was a mystery. There were not enough places to hang up the towels in the bath and no shelves, there were only clothes hangers in the wardrobe. The windows and doors did not close well due to their age. To drive to the nearby parking garage one has to drive over two bridges. Better ask for the map in the hotel!

Fantastic characterful plush historic hotel in the best location -right next to Hauptplatz but very quiet inside. Reception staff are simply the best - really helpful; and they even patiently conversed with me in German so I could practice my weak German even though they are fluent in English. Superb breakfast selection; newspapers; and a 6.30 early start time. Big room, big bed, enormous bathroom, nice pillows, aircon, fast lift between floors.

There is nowhere to store bikes at the hotel (presumably due to the building architecture); and I missed the hotel's message to me via booking.com about this. (However, the hotel did lend us 2 strong bikelocks to secure our bikes in the Hauptplatz.) The wooden room floor squeaks; so you can't sneak quietly to the loo in the night. The curtains did not close very well.

Fabulous location, everything is right there for you to enjoy it. Rooms were comfortable, clean, tidy, basic amenities provided. Foyer is and lobby are beautiful and one of the unique features of this hotel, we’ve really enjoyed being in the era specific building. Also, hotel has a cafe and and a bar in the lobby area, which was a nice option when it rained out first day. Breakfast was great - fresh and well presented, everything was well prepared. Staff were helpful and all spoke English (and I’ve noticed some other languages too).

Small detail - In all the rooms, air con is set to 22 and the guests can’t change it, you need to enquire at the reception. I’m sure it is more sustainable to set it to a certain temperature and keep it that way, but it would be good to have at least a small range to play with and adjust (for example from 20-26).

Excellent location for exploring Graz. Historic building was beautiful and very romantic to stay in. Loved the real, living plants and the cocktail bar and staff in it were exceptional.

The bathroom of the room could have been a bit cleaner. There was mould on the tile grouting and around the bathtub. The bathtub itself was also difficult to get into and out of.
