The hotel does not serve breakfast, but there are several places within 300 metres where one can buy breakfast - from a la carte to buffet - at reasonable prices. Thus, this is not a major inconvenience.

By and large, everything was perfect. Having breakfast on site would have been a bonus. The other small problem we had was that the hotel is noisy, because of its proximity to a major street. The management would do well to invest in double-glazing to keep street noises out, especially because Georgians seem to revel in revving their motorcycles and sports cars well into the night.

The hotel is beautiful and also has an interesting history! It is right in the middle of the old town so is close to everything and very walkable, especially if you're arriving via the bus from Kutaisi, which we were. The staff is amazing - we had a great chat with the guy working reception while we were there (I've forgotten his name, unfortunately!) and he shared a lot about the hotel, Tbilisi, and Georgia in general. The room was spacious, and the toiletries were very generous. Definitely recommend!

Of course since you're staying right in the action, there is quite a bit of road noise. But it's easy to drown out with a white noise/sleep app

Love the aesthetic of the hotel and the terrace just outside the room with a view of Narikala fortress and the Mother of Georgia! Despite the tiny room, it was complete with bathrobe, bedroom slippers, shoe horn, shoe polish, toothbrush, shampoo, body soap, conditioner, body lotion, mini bar, tea and coffee facilities, bottled water and a digital safe. There is also a convenient charging point right next to your bed. Impressively, the water from the shower does not flood the area outside the shower area when the door is closed despite sharing the same floor level. Gizo, the staff who checked me in was incredibly helpful and friendly. He assisted with my baggage up the stairs to my room, gave me a mini tour of the room, introduced points of interest in the city and overall, made me feel extremely welcomed seeing as it was my first time to Tbilisi. The property is also a short 5 min walk from the bus stop where the airport bus drops you off. Wifi is secured and fast.

The room has a sloping roof and despite being a 160cm Asian, I still found myself accidentally knocking my head a couple of times against the ceiling when accessing the wardrobe compartment with the digital safe. The tap was also in a slightly awkward position that could obstruct your use of the sink a little.

The location is great - very close to the Liberty Square and all the main attractions of the old town. Public transport stops, stores, restaurants, exchange offices and pharmacies are also in the walking distance. The room was nice, cozy and equipped with everything you need, although a bit small for two people. The balcony is spacious and makes up a great place to chill. The staff and the owner were very nice and helpful during the whole stay.

The windows in the room seem old, while the room itself faces a loud city street, that is why at night it might be quite noisy inside. So, not recommended for people who have trouble sleeping.

I had the room with the terrace which was a lovely extension to the very small room. I was very delayed and the lovely staff waited for me in the middle of the night. There is a pickup service from the airport.

You share the terrace with another room so if they are noisy or smokers then that could impact your experience. The room I had is so small that you can only really sit on the bed, so if you cannot be outside on the terrace for whatever reason then the room can feel a little cramped.

Nice surrounding, clean room, nice building in historic neighborhood with signature nice balconies.

There is virtually no place to store your belongings, you have a wardrobe in the depth of the room behind the bed, and that's it. No even hooks or hangers by the door to hang your coat on, even though there is a nice niche where they would so nicely fit. So all our stay we had our things scattered all over the room :-)

The Blue Balcony Hotel in Tbilisi is a charming boutique hotel in a lovingly restored centuries-old building. Centrally located, the entry is discretely through an unimposing alley. But once inside: Wow! Gorgeously renovated wooden floors and colored windows. Filled with light, the front desk area is cheery, positive, and hip. The multilingual staff are helpful and chatty, including David, the handsome Nika, and the other nice-looking chap. The rooms are refined and modern with every amenity. The balance of maintaining a historic structure but updated for the modern traveler is achieved perfectly at the Blue Balcony Hotel. Additionally, exquisite views of the city can be enjoyed from the upper floor balcony. I have a feeling the Blue Balcony Hotel is going to become quite popular. Lovely staff, positive vibes, brilliant location, and reasonable price in a happy, bright, modern hotel housed within a historic building. What’s not to like? Jump on it!

Obviously with any centuries-old structure being updated to function as a modern hotel, there will be challenges. The Blue Balcony is no exception. As the hotel has just recently opened, there are still some issues with the most suitable ergometric placement of each room’s showers. But this is more a new hotel issue and shortly will be sorted. The only problem I can foresee is in the summer when the hotel is fully occupied, noise may become an issue with the wooden floors and lack of sound-proofing.

The location of the hotel is very nice - you find yourself in back streets of old Tbilisi, aside from those made for tourists. There you may find very cozy small cafes and vine cellars with extremely tasty food and vine and all other kinds of small businesses. The hotel itself is a historical building with its own character and a modern touch. The atmosphere is just amazing.

There is nothing I didn’t like but I may assume why others may not like the place — you must understand that it is not a luxury top-tier comfort hotel. It is an old building without elevator and with very steep and uneven stairs. And it is located in the very back streets of old Tbilisi. The place is very authentic and has its own character. If you are more of a 5-star comfort person, you’d better choose some other place to stay.

The location was very convenient. The hotel is a close walk to Liberty Square metro station and many attractions like the Clock Tower, Bridge of Peace, Rike Park, and bath houses. The room was very comfortable and clean with updated decor in an older building. The front desk staff was very helpful when I needed to check out at 2am and called a Bolt taxi for me. I would consider staying here again.

The balcony overlooked Nikoloz Baratashvili Street, which is a busy street, and traffic noise could be a problem if you are a light sleeper. However, it didn't bother me during my stay.

What a charming hotel located in the center of the city!! Since it is an old building that cannot be renovated from outside, you would be surprised at the interiors which is tastefully done. And the location of the place is a definite plus. What I loved the most were the staff. They were so helpful and friendly and made me feel very welcome in their city.

Because I had a room with the balcony, it was a bit noisy. Ask for ear plugs if you are a light sleeper like me. Not suited for people with disability problems since there is one flight of stairs.
