The breakfast room was excellent lots of food and hot food cooked to order and served by waitress. Did not like there was no restaurant for dinner. We were told dinner over the yard in Christy's bar. If it was raining it would not be pleasant. We were asked to book a table but when we got there no-one asked us if we were booked. People were coming in off the street and we were lucky to find a table. The menu did not have any dinner options mostly fast food options. My husband had chicken and found part undercooked. I also like to have dinner in a dining room and not a public bar with customers standing around drinking. It is such a shame no restaurant as lovely place to stay.

No restaurant which should be in main building not across the yard in a Pub

The Hotel itself was close to everything we wanted to visit; Cork, Cobh, and Blarney Castle. The grounds and the building were beautiful. The staff were charming to visit with and helpful with any needs. The staff at breakfast knew us on sight on the second morning. The Blarney Mills Gift stores were a wonderful way to spend most of day shopping for presents and souvenirs. In particular, Geraldine at the Blarney Mills store next door, Timothy, who was on the front desk upon our arrival, and Her name escapes me but the lead waitress in the hotel restaurant every morning was a delight.

My wife and I prefer a softer bed. But it seemed to be a prevailing Irish hotel wisdom that beds must be more firm than we preferred. Only one of the 5 different hotels we stayed in during our trip to Ireland was not a "firm" mattress. Sleep was good though and room was quiet, just a firmer mattress than we preferred. The only other thing, and it's pretty minor; an outwardly curving shower curtain rod would have been nice. Because of the straight bar shower curtain, every shower was a fencing match with the shower curtain that wanted to hug our torso and legs as we showered.

The hotel foyer was absolutely amazing with a fabulous array of teapots and gorgeous china cups and saucers . The receptionist Carmen was absolutely fantastic, she checked us in with a minimum of fuss and gave us loads of local information as well as telling us about the facilities that the hotel provided. She was so friendly yet professional at all times . Wish all hotel receptionist’s were like Carmen. All members of staff that we came in contact with were all very friendly and polite and nothing was too much trouble for them all our requests were met with speed and efficiency. Would certainly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Nothing everything was absolutely perfect

The hotel exceeded our expectations. It's a very aesthetically pleasing hotel, with great staff who provided us with some wonderful local recommendations and helped us find a post office, the breakfast was great with lots of coffee, and it was great to not only have parking but EV chargers on site. It was also nice to get to explore Blarney when the tourist buses weren't there.

Fortunately, we were the only EV in the lot, but each night we were there we did notice an ICE car was taking up one of the EV charging spots. I'm sure the staff would be able to sort this if another EV needed the spot, but for folks expecting that they'll be able to charge at the property just be aware that you might run into an ICE car or two in the EV spots.

From the moment I turned to park my car in at the hotel my experience was fantastic. Car park has plenty of space. Location is ideal with so many places to eat and drink and Blarney castle and gardens within walking distance. The lobby of the hotel was inviting and smelled incredible. The reception staff were so welcoming and helpful. Bedroom was spotless with a super comfortable large bed. Breakfast was cooked fresh with delicious healthy choices to cater for all dietary needs. I genuinely cannot fault a single thing about my stay and I am already looking forward to my next stay.

Great location about 20 to 30 minutes from Cork city. Well linked up by public transport. (The 215 from St Patrick's street in Cork City will leave u right outside the hotel) The hotel is a short walk from Blarney Castle. Blarney woollen mills shop is adjacent to the hotel as is the lovely Mill Restaurant. The hotel room for the most part had all the required things that you would expect, Shower gel, Shampoo, hairdryer etc Body lotion was not provided so I purchased that in a nearby shop. The shower was powerful and warm. The bed was extremely comfortable and made for a restful sleep. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The coffee was lovely at Breakfast and I enjoyed my Breakfast. Would definitely recommend this hotel

I have nothing bad to say about the hotel.

Decor overall throughout the hotel was quite nice. Rooms clean. Beds comfortable. Shower excellent. As another person mentioned I could hear the people in the room nxt door a little at bed time (talking;), but everyone is retiring at normal hours here so not a big problem.

Just remembered there was a leaf blower/mower going one morning just after 7am either on the hotel grounds or right nxt to it… hopefully not the hotel ground’s people because totally inconsiderate to guests if so.

Dinner/steak was beautiful, gorgeous meal. The way the menu was laid out/name of venue, I'm not sure what it was, but I wasn't expecting too much. The lovely lady on reception was really good at her job and said the restaurant was gorgeous. It was also lovely having the woollen mill shop next door. Would have loved to have stayed longer!

I would have preferred a larger bed and no single but the bed was very comfortable and we were down for a football match in Cork and I didn't want to pay a fortune. Most of the 4 star hotels have air conditioning (temperature won't go below 18 degrees) and I always find it uncomfortably warm. Also the weight of the bed clothes was perfect (I hate heavy bedclothes). Would have liked netflix (but perhaps we weren't paying for it!)

This place is perfect in every way. The restaurant and bar were fantastic and wonderfully priced. The lobby is so comfortable and welcoming. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast with our room was made to order and delicious. We had lunch in the Cafe and enjoyed it as well. Blarney Castle is a 5 minute walk. There is everything you need within walking distance. Plenty of free parking too. We were a group of 8 adults with 4 rooms and everyone loved everything about this hotel.

We LOVED everything.

Beautifully presented with attention to detail, nice boutique feel with lots of quirky statement pieces. Lovely breakfast with a good selection. The room at the front of the hotel had a great view of the castle. The beds were really comfortable. Free parking was available.

The room at the back of the hotel looked out on a yard and noisy work commenced very early in the morning. No air con, it was very hot weather so the nights sleep was not as pleasant as it could have been.
