Hotel Route-Inn Kawaguchiko

The location is good, easy to get there by the red line bus get off at No. 11, it’s right opposite the bus stop. Breakfast buffet was okay for us. Suggest you take a short walk towards the bridge early in the morning (before wind and clouds pick up), perhaps 6am (the lighting will be just right), you can get the perfect Fuji reflection. Also suggest you take the red line bus to the terminal where the Oishi park is, apparently it’s so beautiful where you can get nice photos no matter what the season is. Unfortunately we missed it, we took the green line bus instead to explore (cost us ¥1,910 each for the round trip), there are a lot to stop and see, but I would prefer the Oishi park according to the beautiful pictures on the magazine.

The bed and the pillow are both too hard.

Awesome hotel and its surroundings. Great location. Beside Kawaguchiko lake. Kawaguchiko Red-line sightseeing bus stands in front of the hotel. walking distance to the rope-way entrance. Room was superb. spacious and very clean. Staffs were super friendly, very helpful and caring in nature. Breakfast was delicious and so many items in buffet. They have free shuttle for Kawaguchiko bus station.

It is outside of city center. So be prepared. Limited public transport and no convenience store or restaurants nearby. There is Lawson about 20 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Although the hotel has a restaurants but it serves buffet dinner only. But I strongly recommend this hotel if anyone wants to stay with Kawaguchiko lake and Mount Fuji.

The staff are full of charm, eager to help with problems met. The view from the room was a mesmerizing, the calm and power emitted from Mt Fuji was something else. Kawaguchiko lake spread out below, disappearing into the mountains. It was breathtaking. A highly recommended place to go!

I like cereal for breakfast. I especially like mixed fruit and nut cereal. I could only get cornflakes for breakfast. The cornflakes were fine but I would have liked a wider choice. But there was a very good variety of vegetables, meats, and drinks for breakfast.

A cosy accommodation with full facilities- from washer and dryer, kitchen and utensils, bathrobes and toiletries, it felt like we were having a true experience of living in a small but functional Japanese apartment. Thank you to the hotel front desk staff for the swift check in which took less than 2 minutes and the service staff for cleaning our room spick and span.

The bathroom was small and functional and a small bar available to hang clothes. but if there could be some hooks to hang out towels and clothes that would be more convenient.

Hotel right outside the Lake,Mt Fuji was visible from outside the hotel or breakfast room, food was fantastic, very good choice, had parking space, which is a bonus, also offer shuttle bus for pickup from Station, as it’s quite far by walk.

Quite dated,as in need of renovation, but for the value of money and location you cannot ask for better option if you don’t want to break your budget.

The breakfast was included in the price and was very good. We also opted for the dinner buffet, as there is not much choice for dinner in the neighborhood, and it was excellent and very good value. The location across the road from the lake is lovely, and we appreciated free parking.

We wish we had chosen a room with a lake view, because our room was shaded by trees and was also smaller than the rooms with a view - very cramped. The bed was extremely hard and the pillows were like rocks as well, with no selection of pillows available in the room or from the desk.

Location just beside the lake . Not too crowded. Value for money compare with nearby hotel. Good view of fuji from my room’s. Public bath , vending machine. Big sized of bed snd comfy.

Staff is helpful but amount of staff is too little and they do everything like checkin checkout cashier for the shop and restaurant. Too small restaurant. You have to wait for dinner or breakfast. No convinent shop just 1 restaurant around this hotel. Mg toilet always had water out of somewhere on the floor

Amazing location by the lake, it's so beautiful and you can see Mt Fuji. And just a short bus ride from Kawaguchiko Station on the Red Line. Hire bikes and cycle around the lake. The hotel service is really good. And try the restaurant next door.

Terrible pillow giving me neck pain everyday. The hotel room was incredibly dusty and triggered my allergies. I wiped the top of the bed head and it was covered in a layer of dust. Always itchy eyes. But when I left the hotel I was fine. I don't think the air purifiers do much.

Very close to the bus stop by the bay when exiting the city center. Hop on bus stop in front. Very lovely lake and mount Fuji view from the restaurant where you also have breakfast. Great view from the onsen, overlooking the lake and mount Fuji. Room was comfortable. They have hotel bus to the main station.

Everything was good. Limited choices for dining nearby at walking distance. No convenience store walking distance but they have a mini store near the reception.

The hotel is conveniently located near a bus stop and has a great view of the lake and Mt Fuji. The restaurant Konami next to it serves great Japanese meals. The breakfast was very Japanese but I enjoyed it very much. They gave a pretty good breakfast spread. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I suppose the only downside to the hotel is that there is a bit of a distance to the nearest Kawaguchiko station.
