The area is very peaceful and far away from the heavy crowds near the train station. Mt Fuji is clearly visible from the hostel. There is an eating area and sizable shared kitchen open 24/7. The attached café is also a common area when the café is closed. Big garden with seating and tables. The hotel resembles a wooden house or ryokan, so it feels very comfy. Medium sized room size with a very big bed. One of the biggest in any hostels I’ve stayed in. Lockers provided, decently sized. The mattress was thick and comfortable. Big shower rooms. There also a huge full-size bathtub in the hostel wing which is absolutely wonderful.

Quite far away from any attractions and is about a 10-15 min walk from Kawaguchiko station. The nearest konbini is Family Mart like 7-10 min walk away. Theres a washing machine but no dryer. Thick comforter but small pillow. There are gaps in the bed curtains. There weren’t enough toilets and showers during rush hours but outside of that its enough.

This place was perfect for my stay. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. I felt very welcome here. One massive plus is laundry is for free! Perfect if you have been hiking around Mount Fuji. On arrival, you are given fresh slippers. Lovely touch. Would stay again.

My stay was brilliant. The only issue I had was that I had the only bed in the dorm next to the window. There is no curtain for the window. I struggled to sleep because of bright lights coming through from a building next door and also the light in the morning. It is also close to where people hang up their clothes outside to dry. I woke up to people right near the window. In the morning, I asked if I could move beds. Staff were very accommodating about this. The rest of my stay was perfect. I would have given a 10/10 otherwise.

Love the space in the private rooms. After a week in Tokyo cramped up it was so nice! Food was good in the restaurant. Free shampoo and conditioner and body wash to use. The property is really aesthetic! Staff friendly. We would love to stay again! Views of Fuji from our window every day absolutely amazing!!!

Upstairs is quite hot, and the rooms can get a bit stuffy. There’s no private bathrooms it’s all shared, and we weren’t able to do washing/dry in the hostel as they only had a washing machine and line to hang things - when hiking Fuji you really want to wash your stuff so it wasn’t super efficient for that.

I cannot explain how good this place is! Not only the beds and facilities but also the design of the place and the staff is amazing. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, and something to note is that they provided me with towels as well! I also stayed after check-out at the café to enjoy lunch, I have to say that the curry was great. The hostel has an amazing and direct view of Mt. Fuji and it is easy to access from the train station. Lastly, after my stay, they helped me to find a valuable thing that I left there. They arranged the shipping to my current location and helped me without asking anything back. Good people. Thank you so so much!

Late check-in worked fine. We booked a private room and it was clean and very cool - we had a nice view on Mt. Fuji. Different amenities available (toothbrush, slippers, cotton swabs, shower gel, etc.) Solid 15 min walk from the main Kawaguchiko station, so you can reach everything in the region quite fast. The mattresses are thin futons laying on the floor - please consider whether this is comfortable for you or not.

You can hear everything going on in the building, which we knew before and is ok, but unfortunately not all guests are considerate of others even though it is written everywhere to be quiet after 9 because of the thin walls. The price was rather hotel-ish, but I guess the Fuji region is more expensive in general

Family of 5 looking to try a hostel as alternative accommodation to hotel or Airbnb. This was by far the nicest hostel I've ever stayed in. Beautiful decor with a mix of classic Japanese with the bamboo mats in the room, with modern facilities. Incredibly friendly staff, lovely communal areas inside and out, happy hour bar and a great dinner. Location was short walk from station and easy to get to Lake Kawaguchiko. We even got a view of the summit of Mount Fuji on the final morning.

Nothing to add here.

The restaurant and hang out room was awesome, the food & coffee amazing when it was open A fabulous view of Mt Fuji just outside the hostel The shower rooms were clean, perhaps add a drier to the laundry room

The bed space was not comfortable with the upper bed space being on slats which allowed light and food and rubbish to fall onto the lower bed awful to be woken up in the middle of the night this way People who snore should know not to be in a shared dormitory...the hostel is not to blame for this

We booked a private double room and it was beautiful. Simple and contemporary design, very spacious and our view was incredible. We had a perfect view of Mt Fuji. What a sight to wake up to in the morning. We also loved the communal space downstairs and having access to the kitchen. The outdoor garden area is also very nice. We didn't eat at the bar as it wasn't open the evening we arrived. Location is good, the town is quite small so only a short walk to the train/ bus station.

Lovely design of property. Had a view of Mount Fuji from our room which we woke up to. Clean. Amenities provided. Nice outdoor area also. About 10 minutes walk from Lake Kawaguchiko station so not far at all - walk is not difficult but just to be aware.

The kitchen was adequate size but eating area only 3-4 seats - where people were doing their postcards so we couldn’t sit to have our dinner. I would recommend that the hostel had more of a public space so people that weren’t eating could leave the space for people to eat.

Great location and view of Mount Fuji. There is some construction going on so the view may new but obstructed. It's about under a ten minute walk from the bus station/train station coming in from Shibuya. The place had a really cool and unique interior, with an attached cafe bar kitchen. Although closed when I was there, the options seemed interesting. The area was still open for leisure use and it was a great cozy atmosphere. I was in a room which has two mats available in the upper and lower bunk. There's also an area in the room where you can sleep as well, and I chose to sleep there. The room was clean and tranquil. I would go back!

The area is a bit hard to get to because there aren't sidewalks, but that is of no fault of the hostel. Just be wary of the traffic around you and to stay in the side of the road when walking. The food options were also a bit limited around there, but once I found the 24 hr drugstore behind it I was kicking myself. Find some restaurants before hand around the area, cause you might find yourself walking a lot just to find something that night be closed!
