The room was comfortable with two single beds and a futon bed. The staff were courteous and attentive. The hotel is conveniently located and less than 10 minutes walk from Kawaguchiko station. The hotel has a shuttle bus to the train station and it arrives at the 15th and 45th minute of each hour from 9:15AM to 3:45PM. As most shops (and restaurants) tend to close by 5PM in the area, the convenience of having a LAWSON'S store less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel is a plus. The restaurant located on the 7th floor offers a nice spread for breakfast and the restaurant windows offer an unobstructed view of Mount Fuji on one side and Lake Kawaguchiko on the other. There is also an observation deck accessible from the 7th floor which to enjoy an unobstructed view of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko.

I liked everything. The hotel oozed old time charm. Think Wes Anderson’s Grand Budapest Hotel. The hotel is immaculate with care being taken to maintain the facilities. While things may initially appear a bit dated, actually everything is perfectly juxtaposed with original charm and modern touches. We stayed in superior room with western bed and tatami area and lake view. Spectacular views of the lake and beautiful grounds. The room was very spacious with all the essentials provided. We had 2 twin beds and a large window length bench/desk. The bathroom was snug with a small but deep bathtub and great shower. Separate toilet. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. There is a shuttle bus that runs from the station regularly and will even take you on request if needed. The hotel is very family friendly with plenty of thoughtful touches from kids seats to kids books in the lounge. The breakfast was on the top floor with superb views for guests and a wide range of Japanese and western options to get you started. A French chef also creates a masterpiece dining option for guests, at around $100AUD pp. for dinner. Each day there are afternoon refreshments offered in the lounge area to have a snack and watch the beautiful lake. The viewing tower had spectacular views of Mt Fuji and the lake and we were lucky enough to have a clear day for sightseeing at the end of May. Unreal is an understatement!

The beds were quite hard but I am used to a soft bed. That was the only drawback.

It was a beautiful location on the lake. Very peaceful. The service was excellent and the property was very clean. The onsens were spacious, clean, and well maintained. I loved the outdoor ones in a beautiful garden. The dining room was amazing with views and amazing variety of delicious food. We liked having a town shuttle. The hotel was near bike and paddle boat rentals, allowing us to enjoy those activities. The Mount Fuji views were the best!

The room appeared dated in decor and we don’t like carpet in the rooms. The carpet was not so clean. The room needs updating. The mat room was fine.

We are incredibly grateful for our stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff warmly welcomed us, taking our luggage straight to our room, which made for a stress-free start to our vacation. The room was surprisingly spacious and beautifully designed, just like something out of a movie. It featured a deck with stunning views of Mount Fuji, perfect for taking incredible photos. On the other side of the building, we were treated to serene views of Lake Kawaguchiko—truly the best of both worlds! I would also like to give special mention to the amazing female staff member, B, who went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. She gave us a small tour of the hotel and personally escorted us to our room, providing us with yukatas and toiletries along the way. Her attentiveness and warm hospitality truly stood out and made us feel so welcome. The food buffet was amazing, offering a wide variety of options, with a strong focus on delicious Japanese cuisine, which we absolutely loved. We enjoyed both the dinner and breakfast buffets, and each meal was a treat. The hotel's free shuttle bus to Kawaguchiko Station was a huge plus, running every 15 minutes. It made it easy for us to catch our bus on time. Additionally, there’s a well-stocked souvenir shop inside the hotel with very reasonable prices—much more affordable than the shops outside. We highly recommend buying your souvenirs here! All in all, it was an unforgettable experience, and we would love to return someday!

Nothing. I wish we could stayed longer

Breakfast and dinner buffet were great, especially the dinner with the grilled beef. We also enjoyed the free shuttle from the train station to the hotel and we used it quite a few times. Reception spoke english and was friendly and professional. Enjoyed the private onsen as well, which we had to pay about 40 sgd additional for 1 hr usage. Public onsen also has an open air bath which was quite well maintained and clean.

The price. Not the most affordable in this area but you pay a premium for the convenience and luxury. It is also not the nearest to the lake as the view of mt fuji will be slightly blocked by the trees.

Amazing staff that was so warm and helpful. From the complementary pick up service from the Kawaguchiko Train Station (ask the tourist information for help to call up to arrange) to the reception and the buffet staff, everybody is just so welcoming. The room with private onsen is a gem, the Mt Fuji view from the room is just awesome. Location is splendid as it is walking distance to the ropeway and Lawson convenience store. Ample parking space available too!

The buffet menu repeats everyday during my 3-night stay. Would have been better if there was a change. But the variety and freshness of the food is commendable!

We loved the beautiful main lobby with a view on the lake and free Japanese snacks/drinks. The free snacks were really fun to try. My sister-in-law was a big fan of the coffee machine. We had a decent meal at one of the restaurants that was across the street, as well as yummy pastries within a minute walk. My nephews commented that the traditional futons were a touch more comfortable than other ones they encountered during the trip. The front desk also very kindly let us store our luggage an extra day after we left, while we went to climb Mt Fuji, which was a HUGE help for us. We were a bit stressed wondering if we were going to be able to find an empty locker at the train station the morning of our climb.

A lot of employees at the door to greet every time we walked in and out during prime hours. One was enough. 3 or 4 seemed like overkill.

What a nice experience, we took the room with a private bath in it and it was phenomenal, the staff were great and friendly, from driving us to and from the station even out of their scheduled times, to just being helpful with any request. The breakfast was great with very high quality pastries. The hotel is located right on the lake which is beautiful, also has a viewing area of mt Fuji at the top(breathtaking on a clear day), right in front of the hotel there is also a bicycle rental to go around the lake

We got a room with 2 solo beds and after moving them together found a lot of dirt and dust under it, however after a quick request the room was super clean in no time

Great check-in process with English speaking staff. Great waiting lounge to wait and hang around for some Japanese snacks and coffee. 10 min casual walk from Kawaguchiko station. Otherwise call for bus shuttle. Dinner was buffet and the wagyu teppanyaki was great. Free flow of beer, sake, wine. Sashimi was average. The tuna Sashimi was fantastic. Must try the melons. Only in japan they melt in your mouth. Onsen was OK. Suggest to use the outdoor pool when in spring or winter to feel chilly and yet warm. It's not crowded in the onsen Great view of Mount fuji at the observatory or simply at breakfast or dinner venu

Nothing much.

From the get go the staff was lovely, took our bags and explained how everything runs. Plenty of amenities provided which were free and optional. The breakfast and dinner were amazing would highly recommend having it included. It was buffet style but such a high quality even had chefs making fresh dishes in front of you. We booked the private onsen and that was such a great experience as well, although we thought it could have been a bit longer (by the time you dry yourself wash your hair etc. it doesn’t leave you that as much time). The room was big with nice view. They have snacks during certain hours which we enjoyed too. The hotel is quite big with souvenir shop and areas where you can sit down for a tea/coffee and enjoy the nature. We only stayed for one night so would love to come back one day to get to enjoy it for longer

The standard bath seemed a bit dirty/outdated, so we didn’t use but luckily there was a shower as well. We didn’t really explore the area but did plan on going to the Fuii Shibazakura Festival which turned out quite far so ended up not being worth it for us. Maybe a shuttle bus to things like that would be useful or being able to rent bikes etc.
