Breakfast and dinner was Amazing. We stayed 2 nights, and only opted dinner for 1 night as we wanted to try out other local dining. The price for dinner is pricey, but I have to say it was worth the experience. A lot of attention to detail in this resort. Loved the room and stay (especially the private hot spring). One area to improve on is to have the host explain the entire facilities. I was wondering around and actually don't know if certain areas are for us to use or not. Communication with the staff was great, but online/email communication was sub-par, which is a bit weird if you ask me.

Very strict ruling and timings. Communication through email could be better. In order to book the dinner, they need at least 48 hours notice and the dinner timings are strict. If you can't make it, then you forfeit the dinner and they can't pack it up for you. There was some miscommunication as they email said be ready for dinner at 5, but when I was there, the host told me 6. They only have 2 timings for breakfast and dinner, so they aren't quite flexible in that aspect.

Location from Kawaguchiko station. All staff were amazing. Dinner and Breakfast was extraordinary.

Not the property but there were other guests sitting in close to us that were loud and had questions about everything. The staff did their best to tend to their needs.

The resort was truly ideal to relax and unwind. The staff were all very polite and attentive. They do speak very basic English and could get by. The room was spacious, and private onsen is truly delightful to soak and relax. The room is so clean that you can't find any mold. This is probably the only place where I could not spot any mold in hotel bathroom. This place provided me with a very relaxing stay. The breakfast and dinner is so sumptuous that it is fitting for a King. Worth dining in for the experience especially when u could dress in Japanese costume.

They charge you if you want to extend check out.

The staff was really friendly and helpful. Room and hotel atmosphere was really nice. Room was spacious, and what surprised us was floor heater in the bathroom. We requested for vegetarian meal, and they provided us such an impressive meal. :)

The breakfast is super yummy!!!

The luggages can’t be kept by the hotel after checking out, whilst there is limited storage area at the train station. It took us some efforts and time to find a proper space to store our luggages or otherwise we needa leave the city without further sightseeing.

This was an exceptional stay. While the onsen doesn't offer a direct view of mount Fuji, we could clearly see it on our drive over thanks to clear skies. When we entered the premises, the staff was attentive immediately. From taking our luggage to making sure we were set up in our room. The room was SPACIOUS, with a lounge area and bedroom with screens to close off sections. The highlight was having our own outdoor bath to enjoy during cold winter nights. Perhaps the most breathtaking aspect of our stay were the meals. We were blown away by our dinner. It was the best thing we ate during out entire trip in Japan (we were in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto prior). We enjoyed a sumptuous parade of dishes that really showed off the local ingredients. We didn't think it could get better, but breakfast the next day was equally, if not more, delicious. While expensive, we enjoyed a serene getaway with our private outdoor bath and excellent meals. Would love to return.

This is an exceptional ryokan for those looking to relax and enjoy incredible views of Mt. Fuji. Firstly the rooms; it has a modern traditional aesthetic which is quite nice. The beautifully well kept tatami flooring is clean and lighting is well distributed with dimmer controls. The bed is very comfortable and plush yet firm, very relaxing after soaking in the outdoor private onsen. Speaking of which, the onsen is fantastic, one of the best things to do is to soak your tired feet or body after a day of exploring the Kawaguchiko area. There are temperature controls however the staff advise you contact them first before making any adjustments. There are heated floors for the bathroom area but only by the sinks, the toilet room does not have a heated floor although slippers are provided. Bathing area has a good sized bath tub and shower head with good water pressure. The food is amazingly well put together and delicious. Each dish is carefully constructed and beautifully adorned and incredibly flavorful. There is a lot of food especially at dinner service and there is a rotating menu. It may not look like much once you begin but once the ball gets rolling you'll start to wonder how to finish all the food. Regardless, everything must be tried and tasted at least once. Breakfast service is much the same with the same care and effort. There is also a small lounge area for coffee and cold drinks. The staff interactions are limited though very helpful and considerate of your requirements. They offered to send a car to pick me up from Kawaguchiko station, however I elected to take the brisk 20 min walk to the stay as I had been on the train for 2 hours. Plenty to go around the area, there is a Lawson that is nearby for any convenience store needs; Oike park is a short walk away (we attended the Winter Festival fireworks); museums are quite a few museums, the Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway is a 20 min walk away, and Chureito Pagoda is roughly 15 mins by car/taxi.

This is an absolutely incredible Ryokan. Our suite was beautifully designed and immaculately clean. The staff are attentive and friendly. The facilities in the room are thoughtful; multiple towels, robes, tea box etc. and they are regularly replenished. There are Samue and Yakuta provided for you to use. The onsen was a delightful 41 degrees and spacious in a lovely setting. The food provided is amazing and may be some of the most beautifully presented food I have ever seen, with impressive attention to detail. If you are booking breakfast and dinner, be mindful that the food is plentiful and multiple courses. Dining is in your own private dining space, and the waiting staff are knowledgeable about each dish served. The menu is mainly fished based but very varied, using local and seasonal produce. There is a guest lounge available with coffee and soft drinks provided. Yumendo is absolutely the place you want to go for a calm, relaxing break. It's quiet and peaceful and private (we didn't interact with any other guests for the duration of our trip). I highly recommend it.

Room was very elegant and nice. Very comfortable, modern, yet adhering to traditional japanese ryokans. Staff service was great as well. Private backyard with Onsen was beautiful and perfect for our needs. Breakfast service was amazing as well. Free shuttle to bus station was also convenient and nice as well. Convenient to get to from bus station via sight seeing bus. Close walk to bridge and lake.

Didn't find anything truly negative about the inn. Didn't know where to check in initially but a staff member came to help us. No view of Fuji from private onsen backyard but that was already expected.

Location is great, if you walk about 5-10 minutes you get a spectacular view of Mount Fuji. We stayed in the executive suite and loved having a private onsen and definitely the most comfortable beds and service during our stay. We also had the breakfast and dinner (Kaiseki) and wow. What an experience. I felt like I was being treated like a queen in our special ryokan stay. I loved wearing the yukatas and tasting delicacies prepared by different chefs each day. Our suite was so beautiful that had a private garden you could sit in your suite and simply enjoy the scenery in the morning. The service was extremely thought out, and they asked whether we wanted our room cleaned, what time we want our food, put our shoes out before we leave etc. This was definitely a highlight to our trip and perfect for our honeymoon. I wish we could have stayed longer!

I was hoping the onsen would be slightly bigger but it ended up working out fine for me and my spouse
